I’m proud of myself to book this place for my family vacation in Langkawi! This is an ideal place for relaxation and tranquility! Me and my wife r in love with Soluna guest house! When we plan for a vacation, the first thing we expect is to relax; Soluna is the perfect place for relaxing because of the fantastic ambience outside. Its like the place is designed in such away that ur mind and body compels u to relax and feel happy! However As a regular reviewer,i will give the pros and cons below: Pros: 1. The reception staff Nadia, she is a wonderful lady! I had abit of hard time to find the place as it was night, when i approached her,she greeted me by my name, which was pretty impressive! All the way she was amazing! 2. The owner Claudia,an Italian lady with great taste and sense…
Calm and peaceful environment. Green surroundings. Walking distance to the beach and 10 min drive to airport. Many restaurants nearby. Clean and comfy rooms.friendly staff. Access road is not very good.but manageable.
Cant lie although looked smalls, i am satisfied with this place. Since it "guesthouse" u have to share everything except bed and bathroom (obviously) Thank god tht time i got friendly neighborhood. I dont feel like in jails. And its really clear my mind during nights. Great value of money. Ya abt the room, im fine as long there is bed and air-cond :D
Staff are lovely, very good location just far enough away not to be disturbed but a 5 min walk from the main strip and beach. Great restaurants there. The guest house.. was quiet, the bedroom was large but outdated. The pillows where rock hard. Literally rock hard. The bed itself was comfortable. The bathrooms where not clean. Mosquitos everywhere in the bathrooms. And every time you took a shower the toilet seat got completely soaked. I used nearly a whole roll of toilet tissue in 3 days just wiping it down before using. Would recommend if on a budget like we are but you could probably find nicer places if you had more cash to spend.
We booked a ferry from langkawi to koh lanta through Soluna guest house as they were friendly and our stay there was nice. We paid 130MR each and were told we would be picked up at 7:30am and it would take 4-5 hours. The actual journey consisted of a taxi, ferry, three separate buses and then a ferry crossing on the bus, taking 11 hours in total. Completely wasting a day of travelling when we could have arrived to arrive there much quicker ourselves.
