The guesthouse is great location, not far from Pantai Cenang, but enough distance to enjoy the quiet chilling vibe. The wifi connection is great! Very fast and well covered. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful, they have 6 or 7 cats that I enjoyed playing with. The hammock and the garden was superb. Look no further, this is the best place!

The host, Cláudia, an Italiana girl, is a quit and really nice person. She is always there only to help you, if you need.
The place is amazing. You fell like in country side of the Island, sorrounded by rice plantation and animals....but you are just 5 minutes away from the beach.
The dorm is confortable, the bathrooms always clean. Perfect.
I recomend this place to everybody. It is the best place where I've stayed in this long trip to south Asia.

We stay here for 4 days 3 nights and we enjoy every piece of it. Rent a bike for rm35 without deposit. The room is beyond comfy and meet my expectations. Very relaxing place. Hardly to hear any vehicles or anything else in between. Theres a sharing tv and sharing refrigerator at the reception. Oh ya, the receptionist and the cook are Italian! Anyway, highly recommend ;)

Soluna has very nice, light and clean rooms. It has a beautiful garden and it is located on a quiet location, within walking distance of pantai chenang and the main street. This is truly a hostel, so don't expect hotel-like service. We had to ask for toiletpaper and clean towels and emptied our own trashcans, as the room wasn't cleaned once in our 5 day stay. That wasn't a problem for us. The noisy roosters in the area where though. They woke us up every morning between 5 and 7. Their crowing went straight through our earplugs and I'm not a light sleeper at all. The hostel can't be held responsible for that ofcourse, but it was a huge inconvenience for us. The pillows are horrible. Staff was great but a smile from the guy at the receptiondesk would be welcome. Overall good value for money, but we booked it to have a place to sleep and we only had broken nights, so I can't rate it over 3 dots.

My friend and I stayed here for a week in March 2014. It was perfect and set in absolute tranquility amongst the rice paddies. We woke up every morning to peace, aside from cows mooing and birds chirping, which was exactly what we were looking for. We rented a room with attached bathroom and A/C - no complaints - we felt it was of excellent value. We both highly recommend Soluna Guest House.

I enjoyed my recent stay there so much that I changed other Malaysia travel plans to book another week in the tranquillity of Soluna. It is tucked inland about 5 mins from main drag and beach and is all the better for that. Only a couple of years old so everything in pristine condition and full working order. The great mixture of interesting and entertaining people working and staying here adds to the charm. Claudia is a diamond and should be very proud of what she has created at Soluna.

I think it is the best guesthouse in Langkawi. It is on a quiet place but still close to everything. Very clean. Nice workers, really friendly. Lovely cats around:) Simple and good breakfast. It is like a small paradise.
I highly recommend this place for everyone.

Initially, my girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights but loved it so much that we ended up staying for seven in total.

If you get a minivan from the jetty and you arrive at Soluna, do not be put off by the gravel mud road that you end up in before you reach the guest house.

The ambience and super chilled and the rooms are incredibly nice, clean and spacious. The owner is an Italian girl married to a Malay guy who are both extremely welcoming and friendly.

Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Soluna is excellent. Rooms are new and clean. There is a very good breakfast. It is closed to the beach and the main street, but at the same time, very quite and with a nice and a relaxing view to the rice field. A very good atmosphere.

The care I have received over nearly four weeks has been unbeatable. Claudia and MK have been taken care, given me everything I could need.

One of the nicest things about traveling is to meet people from other cultures and other countries. At Soluna, I have had the opportunity, every night, to share with the other guests a good chat with a beer or a glass of wine around the main table or a sofa. This, it was manufactured by Eddie for everyone to be comfortable.

It has been a wonderful experience hosting, coexistence and meet wonderful people. I went for a week and, at the end, I stayed there for four weeks.

No doubt, it is a very special guesthouse.

Having been to Langkawi previously as well as travelling extensively across SE Asia, Soluna Guest House rates as one of my favourite places to stay. This guest house is nestled in a perfect location minutes away from the beach and the busy Main Street but with all the peacefulness and charm of a rural retreat. The design of the place is excellent, built around a lovely garden open on one side to fields and views of the mountains in the distance. It's rooms are cheap, clean and comfortable. However most importantly it's owners Claudia, Eddie and the ever helpful MK have created a friendly and chilled atmosphere that many places try to achieve but few actually manage to attain. They go out of the way to help their guests, providing plenty of advice and tips about things to do on the island as well as helping to book everything from scooters to excursions.

It attracts an interesting mix of independent travellers, families and some longer term residents who share a communal area which has a nice buzz in the evening making it very easy to make friends with other guests.

I can't praise this place enough and if you like cats then you will be definitely be in heaven here. The only danger is that this is a sticky place - once you visit you really don't want to leave. Thank God they don't have hammocks or I might yet still be there

Thanks again to MK, Claudia and Eddie for ensuring I had such a chilled break on this beautiful Island.

"I stayed in the dorm for air con as I was traveling alone (on the advice of another traveler) and didn't want to pay for a whole room just for aircon. If you're traveling with a friend/partner, get the aircon room. It's worth the value."
