Stayed at soluna guesthouse for 9 nights in a twin room with air con. I absolutely loved this guesthouse, it was clean, great value for money & the owner Claudia couldn't be more helpful & kind. The area was beautiful & it felt like we were a million miles away from the Main Street in cenang, but actually it's a very short walk! This is the place to stay if you love cats also as there are a lot of the them! I would recommend this guesthouse to a solo traveller, couples, families & friends that want a peaceful break in langkawi & great service.

I'm so excited when I found this on the internet. I did my rooms reservation almost immediately. The guesthouse located at the middle of a paddy field. There's a garden with few wooden chairs for us to chit-chat and relax. Since I was traveled with families, so the garden space is perfect for us during the night time. Just grab a beer and relax. The rooms are clean, bathrooms too. I like the huge shower they've installed. Friendly owner & staff. Price are worth it. Missed out the breakfast though. Will try it on my next visit.
Overall is good for Soluna, but just I would appreciate if there can be a little fridge or something for me to chill my beers. I kinda like beers. Cheers and keep it up!! See you again~

Great place to stay, clean, good rooms, friendly service. Without a doubt the best guest house on the Island in all respects. Look no further this is the place to stay on Langkawi. Claudia and her husband Eddie are terrific hosts and this place is a credit to their hard work.

We stayed here for 5 nights. And we really loved our stay!
The first night we slept in the dorm (17rm), because we haddend booked. In the dorm we 5 bunkbeds, lockers and two desk. The bathroom had 3 toilet/shower cabins. Cold showers, but it's so hot on Langkawi you don't want to take a hot shower!
The second night en de nights after that, we slept in a double bedroom. The room was spacious, clean and you had everything you need. A toilet, shower(cold) and a sink, double bed, a desk, and you can choise fan or ac. In the room are bold provided but one works, the one you paid for. Fan is 50rm ac is 65rm.
You also get towels and you can asked for more.
Breakfast isn't included, but if you pay a little amound (2 till 8 rm) you can get breakfast at the reception.
The neighbour provides dinner for less.
Claudia the owner is really nice and helpfull! And the place is really wel looked after, will we where they were gardening.
It's a short walk throw the palmtrees to get to the main road and the beach.
Ps if you have a look at the pictures, that's really what it looks like.

We found this on trip advisor and has great reviews just not many as only recently opened and the reviews are accurate!!!! Very clean rooms, lovely owners, quiet location and great value. Dorms to Aircon with private bathrooms. We just turned up but would advise to book as think is getting busier now getting better known. Easy to find by just walking from the main beach road there were enough sign posts for us. Don't get tempted by all the other hostels you pass. It's really not that far from the beach and new so standard is very high for the same price! Breakfast is good! Thank you soluna for a great first experience in malaysia!

My husband and I stayed at Soluna after reading the few reviews we saw on trip advisor. The owner Claudia was kindly responding to our emails the entire day to ensure we would have a room. Soluna is the place you want to stay if you are seeking clean affordable rooms with a peaceful location close to town with a true Malay feel all at the same time.
We have stayed in many places since Soluna and no where has been as CLEAN and comfortable. Once you're there it's do relaxing you don't want to leave.

We booked this guesthouse for 1 night as it only had 2 reviews at the time, when we arrived we realised that it was the perfect place to stay and relax for a while. Although it was pretty booked up, with a bit of room swapping we were able to extend our stay for 2 weeks. The rooms are a good size, spotlessly clean and in my opinion, underpriced. The location is excellent, a few minutes walk from the main strip but set in a quiet spot in the middle of picturesque farmland. While we were staying there was a great mix of backpackers, couples and families, always someone to chat to in the pleasant communal area. The cheap food from next door is a bonus as well.
We will definitely stay here again if we return to Malaysia.

This new guesthouse is situated in the nature amongst local houses, only 5 min. walk from the main street with all the restaurants and shops (many shops!) and the Cenang Beach. There are rooms with and without bathroom (cold shower), with fan or AC and dorms. All rooms also have a private terrace to sit and enjoy the surroundings. So perfect for everybody ! I stayed 4 nights here and it's was my best stay, at the right price, since my arrival in Malaysia, despite i had 2 days of rain. A hot shower would have been nice to have. Spotlessy clean and Claudia is really nice and takes care of you.

We turned up at around 7pm on a Friday with nowhere booked and were worried we'd havenowhere to stay untill we found this place; a real life saver. I think its farly new, probably why there were rooms available, and also explains the really cheap room, only 50 ringet for a double room with a fan. Rooms were clean and comfy and had little pourches to sit out on
Lovely comunal area to watch TV or eat the build your own breakfast, again very reasonably priced. The location is about 5 min walk from the beach and main road, which means its quiet and has a lovley county setting, with geese, cows and kittens always somewhere nearby.

"I stayed in the dorm for air con as I was traveling alone (on the advice of another traveler) and didn't want to pay for a whole room just for aircon. If you're traveling with a friend/partner, get the aircon room. It's worth the value."
