We,family of 10 adults and 1 child, booked 5 rooms (4 sea front and 1 allure suite sea view). We entered the hotel on 7th Jan with a bang. We found that one of the teens forgot his passport inside the front seat pocket of the airline (Air Malindo).

Mr. Ravi, General Manager, and Mr. Maga from the reservation centre were quick to respond to the situation and were continously trying to contact the airlines to make us feel that somebody local was watching our back. Thankfully we retrieved the passport the next day.

Mr. Parth, reservations manager, had been continously in touch with me since their water problem arised due to a mishap. He made sure that each and everyday we spent with the hotel went absolutely perfect.

A big shout out to chef Kamal. My father has a little self restriction on food and has INDIAN food only. We also are pure veg but not restricted to any cuisine. He made sure that we don't miss home food without compromising on taste.

The hotel has a medium sized pool with a small bar that is perfect for evening relaxation and enjoyment with family. After dinner sheesha, drinks, board games and live music at their minum minum bar is a perfect end to a tiring day.

The rooms were big with amazing view of the malay archipelago accross the Andaman Sea.

A stay worth cherishing!

Thanks to Mr. Jalal for handling the golf cart and being patient with the 11 of us.

Thanks to the entire team at vivanta! Cheers.

Me and my husband were on our honeymoon at Vivanta for 3nights stay in end of Oct2020. We are glad that we have stayed a week in Cenang beach and had experienced all the must visit before we move on to Vivanta for a private quite stay and it is just nice the rainy season started too when we arrived at the resort cause we just want to sleep in and enjoy the resort facilities. It is low season due to the pandemic when we were there so whenever we go to the pool or restaurant it is always quite which we like it! We both love the pool (Celcius) so much we can spent hours there, the pool water is warm, we can just stay in the pool and order some drinks (50% discount) and enjoy our day by the pool. Would like to mention Nazri from the pool attendant he was so proactive whenever he sees us, so nice of him! We managed to grab good deals (50% discount) at The Spa for all treatment (during this pandemic period only I guess), myself had Aromatherapy massage (average pressure) with Sandalwood scent and my husband had Malay Traditional Massage (strong pressure) with Jasmine scent, thanks to Fina & Izan from The Spa ensure us have total relaxation from the experience! Food dishes are all tasty from the chefs and the restaurant attendants from Senari are all alert and friendly too thanks to Zaki, Aiman, Ashraf (We couldn’t remember his name well but we are sure the name starts with A and he farewell us at the jetty when we were leaving), Novati & Hafifi! Not forget to mention Dilla from the reception who were very alert and attentive to print us our bill for review and handle our check-out efficiently and in a most friendly manner. Lastly, there were some flaws experience during our stay and we decided to highlight to the resort GM Mr Ravi, he look into our feedbacks and handle it promptly which made us feel that the management Care. Big thanks to Mr Ravi and also Mr Rajen to turn around our experience and left us with pleasant memory with the resort. We will be sure to return!

Was there for 3 nights, an absolute gem of a place to be. Being on a private island, it gives us the privacy we need. While the hotel itself has seen better days, the room we had was spacious with hot running water, cleanly swept floor, as well as working air conditioners. Pool is clean and warm while the beach is a mere 100m away.

What stood out however are the staffs who are friendly in nature, taking the time to speak to us and sharing their experience of living in this island as well as making sure we have all we need - all these despite the place being clearly understaffed.

This resort needs an overhaul, because if it doesn't, I am afraid less guests will return, which in turn will mean there's a risk the place will close permanently. It shouldn't - because you don't get many of such resorts anymore. Just one thing – the price of food in the restaurant is rather costly. I am not sure if this is because they are the only one in the island.

We arrived for a holiday with the expectation that the hotel would be at business as usual (restaurants serving their usual menu, breakfast etc). Since we are vegetarians, we banked on the fact that Indian food, which Taj is good at, would be available. We were concerned to note that Indian food was unavailable and the menu largely catered to local tourists. Breakfast buffet was very limited as well (not the usual spread that we expect of the Taj). However, our visit was rescued by 3 wonderful, friendly chefs and great staff who had a very nice service mindset. Chef Sufian, Chef Mahesh and Chef Kamal kept us going with some good food specially made for us, including for breakfast. The staff were wonderful as well..thanks everyone! We had a good holiday and would certainly come back when things are normal. Cheers

Excellent location, friendly staff and great ambience made it a memorable stay. Recommended for long laid back holiday. The sea facing rooms with balconies are something where one can spend the entire day listening to music or finishing some unfinished books.

The sunset cruise organised by the hotel was an experience that will be remembered for a long time.

Food was good and I wish the hotel bar was stocked a little better. However do not worry. Langkawi is a duty-free town and you can get it on your own at great price!

The resort is at a very pristine location; clean beaches and amazing property . Nature’s beauty is at its best here!

But the resort is nowhere to Taj’s standards. The rooms are very dark and damp. The bathrooms are dirty and have insects and cockroaches in them. The room buildings have housekeeping items scattered right in front of them. Even basic dusting of the furniture was an issue. I agree that the resort has just reopened after the lockdown, but the team needs to prepare a lot before opening it to its guests.

The food was good and the staff was very polite and courteous. Some efforts from the team and this resort can be a dream property!

Pros:
Excellent location, huge property, private beach.

Cons:
1) Although the location is excellent, you need to take a jetty to reach the island. The jetty timings restrict your schedule. The last jetty from the port to the rebak island is at 8:45 pm. If u miss it you hv to pay 160 myr to the hotel to get a jetty arranged. 160 myr is very expensive so v would hv to reach the port anyhow at 8:45 pm in order to reach the resort. So you miss out on the night life of langkawi city.
2) food isnt that great. Its very average.
3) service is average. Way below taj standards.
4) v had booked a mangrove tour through d hotels travel desk. V were told to report at the port at 8:45am for our pickup. V woke up early, (my 3 yr old son too), quickly got ready, quickly finished r breakfast, took the jetty from d resort at 8:30am, n were at the port at 8:40. Nobody came to pick us up! V waited till 9:55! Ultimately v told them to cancel the tour n took off in our own vehicle. N nobody from the hotel staff or the tour operators staff apologized for this mess! Nobody! So hospitality wise they are very poor!
5) rooms are average. Not properly maintained.

It was a great experience. Rebak Island resort is the only resort on Rebak Island separate from Langkawi. There is a ferry service making round trip each hour from Langkawi to Rebak. The resort is huge, several cottages make up the whole resort. The whole area is built in a grand manner keeping nature as its integral part. The swimming pool is centrally located near the elegant reception and dining area. The view from the swimming pool is outstanding having the sea on one side and high hills and trees on the other. The restaurant is splendid having delicious local and indian food. You can opt for many other activities like kayaking, hiking, tennis, squash etc. Entertainment is not an issue. The rooms/suites are grand. Wooden floor and roof, having spacious area for bathtub, washroom, luggage room etc. Our room was sea facing and from the balcony you can just feel the magnificence of the nature. This is a Taj Group Hotel so you will expect to find a touch of Indian Majestic Culture in the architecture and the services. The only set back is you cannot travel frequently to Langkawi so my advice would be to keep a couple of days separate for experiencing Rebak itself. Have a scintillating spa, or go kayaking of just relax with the nature. You'll find it all here.

The rooms are a little run down, painting in the bathroom peeling, the bathroom clothesline was missing, the outdoor shower had rubbish. But everything was working.
The food was very good, a very extensive menu and everything was available.
The Spa was ok, the back part or patio of the Spa does not appear to be used and definitely run down. The bar is nice by the beach and has excellent cocktails.
The pool area and gardens are maintained constantly. It is a nice area. Nature was fantastic, you get to see sea eagles, brahmini kites, dollarbirds, hornbills, really beautiful!
The house keeping seems a bit lagging, it was done but late.
All the staff is attentive, but they seem to miss the going to the last effort to get you what you ask for, for example a dinner for more than two at the moon deck, or more chairs in the business centre or Oval for even when nobody is using it, they just can't do out of the stock standard processes.
It is okDeluxe Allure Sea View Rooms. Good for a few relaxing days.

This is certainly not the kind of Taj property that I know. If there is any minus rating, I would prefer to pick that. Taj management need to seriously consider revamp or getting out of this tie up please. Atrocious and wasted my 3 good days. Very unhappy with everything thing the hotel had to offer, right from transfers to the property (limitation and hotel cannot cope with the capacity... Unfortunately picked a long weekend), not much choice for vegiterian, poor maintenance or no maintenance of the rooms, front desk not bothered and beach maintenance pathetic.
