I stayed here for a couple of days in Langkawi and it was amazing. You get to wake up to the sound of waves crashing on shore and a nice doggo named Sandy. It's clean and there are activities + another beach nearby. This place is pretty far from town though (~20 min drive). If you rented a car (which I did), there is ample of parking space next to your chalet. The host was also very welcoming and helped us with planning out our activities in Langkawi.
We have stayed here twice now and absolutely love it. For Labu Labi Residence we can only echo what most others have said. Apart from Scarborough Fish & Chips next door we enjoyed a 10 minute walk in the mornings back towards the roundabout to Roti Canai a little local eatery where it is made freshly as you wait. On the other side of the roundabout around 100m on the left is a fantastic local outlet where they freshly prepare deep fried spiced chicken which is excellent. Back towards Tanjung Rhu from Labu Labi there are the Mangrove Boat Tours as well as sea water sports such as Jet Skis and Para Sailing. Labu Labi is in lovely quiet spot and Liza and the family do a great job keeping the guests happy.
This resort is definitely one of the best I've ever visited. First, the hotel manager Liza is extremely helpful and kind. I reserved this resort online through travel website and cancelled it without noticing the 14 days condition. When I found out that my credit card was charged, I contacted Liza and asked if I could reuse my cancelled reservation. She said no problem. I was so grateful. Then, it turned out this resort was a beautiful place. The beach was right in front of my door! Finally, the hotel cleanliness is top-rated - can't ask for more. Other things that I like is the beach lounges that are placed at the porch - they are great for short afternoon nap. I will definitely come back to this resort for my next Langkawi holiday.
Firstly, this is a bed and breakfast. It is not a star-rated hotel. Don't come expecting hotel treatment. Labu-labi is on the best stretch of beach in Langkawi -- Tg Rhu. Quiet, away from the crowds, almost private. It is the perfect stay for families. The kids will live on the beach, as the chalets are right on them, facing a spectacular view. We swam every morning, before heading out to town. The place is 20-30mins drive away from touristic sights -- Cenang, Kuah, the likes. We got ourselves a car, so not complaints there. It is next door to a good fish and chips joint, but thats about it. Anything else, and you got to get local. Although there is breakfast at the residences, we went out for nasi lemak, nasi kerabu and roti canai down the road (read: shops near the…
I stayed with family for three nights, none of us want to leave from there in the end. This is a family run resort. Direct access to beach is there for all units. Breakfast is standard (bread/egg/milk/cereals), there is no restaurant available on the premise, you will go out to find food. This should not be a problem since there are several food places near by. Tanjung Rhu beach is close by, from there you can also go arrange mangrove tours. One unique thing I would mention is that they do rent out kayaks (30 RM per hr), should be fun if you like those kind of stuff. Sea was very calm, kayaking should be safe.
