Request two rooms beside , when check inn they said room not yet rdy ask us come back after 30 minutes, still after 30 minutes rooms not yet rdy and they give another rooms but not besides , room smoking smells they give spray for that, we request extra towels they didn't give, asked wake up call at 6.30am they called 6.40am, breakfast sucks same food evryday , atleast they can give simple nasi lemak bungkus, their hard boiled eggs looks 2 days want, porridge so watery, milk for coffee not looks like full cream milk looks like creamer water, staff eating infront of us, touch food without gloves. bad holidays for us. receptionist the fat girl so rude using hand language. room bedsheets they didn't change for 3 days even it dirts. No fridge also. somemore their towels quite smelly
We asked to see the room prior to pay for it. It was still occupied but as soon as we paid it was free to go to and cleaned. The room is poor no fridge no WiFi in the room. The reception says it's going to reset it to make it work but it does not work. This is just unprofessional and I hated this place I really advise travellers to stay away
FYI - this hotel requires MYR50 deposit - very old practice for "hotel" unless it is a hostel. The first impression - sucks. The room is full of awful third-hand smoke while I was requested for non-smoking room. They gave you a spray as a solution to kill the smell. The very first night, I have to use a mask even though I have virtually sprayed half of the bottle. I left the window opened and turn air-cond to the strongest. The second day when I came back from outside, the smell was still there even though it was not as strong as the previous day. I sprayed again and out for dinner while leaving the air-cond on. On the third day, the smell was still there, I repeated the "standard procedure". The breakfast sucks. Serving the same every day. You can expect only fried rice and fried noodle, self-serve noodle soup, porridge, simple white bread, and cookies. The coffee and hot choc taste like errggg...…
Good hotel . Location is not that good . Breakfast is not too good . Room is good . Service is good . I would stay again but would prefer some place closer to the main road , with more life time . But nice place
Stayed more than 7 nights so I can say fairly that this place is worth the money spent. Room rates in Langkawi can be very ridiculous during peak periods going x2 x3 times the price. This hotel was very affordable (around RM138-158/night) for our long stay since we never stayed in during the day. It’s located right in the centre of the city, Kuah. There’s convenience stores, restaurants and eateries located right opposite the hotel (50feet of walking!) They have transportation rental services at the reception as well. Room was clean & spacious with good King sized bed. Bathroom was really spacious as well. Toiletries were minimum. There’s 2in1 shampoo & bath gel. No hairdryer in room, you have to request from the front desk and return upon check out. Basic amenities like coffee cups, tissue box available but no minibar in the room. Slightly inconvenient since it’s a duty free island. There’s little space for clothes to be hung so we’re living out of our suitcase but not a big issue. Sound proof is a minus as we can clearly hear our neighbours and passerby’s. Had minimal interaction with the staff so couldn’t judge. There was however one incident late in the evening where we asked for hairdryer and was told we need to go down to use it at the reception, which was ridiculous. When we asked again the next morning another staff happily told handed us the hairdryer and told us we could use it in the room. Might be miscommunication but I’m sure I spoke Malay perfectly fine. Overall for the price paid, I would say it’s definitely a bargain. Good for travelling families and friends. …
This would be my last stay. Although the hotel is good in general, but I think the staff at the front desk need to smile a bit. I requested a hairdryer on the first evening, they said we must go down to use it! Next morning, I asked a different person at the front desk, she took it out and gave it to me without a hesitation. The surrounding shops are running some shady businesses, and construction workers are roaming around. You will always get those weird looks when you walk around with your partner. If you had a car, during the evening, the area will be congested, and you will have to park at the back of the hotel at your risk. Be careful, there's a lot of stray dogs there. This was my last stay.
Breakfast not much of varieties. Bathroom floor got dirt stain. Price is really cheap. I booked a family room which can 4 people can sleep. Early check in is free by 10 am. Staff is very friendly. This hotel got restaurant at Lobby .
We booked with two rooms, including breakfast. The room is quite clean and tidy. Langkawi Parade mall is only about 5-10 minutes walking distances only. Good choices for backpackers and travelers looking for budget trip.
This hotel is perfect for family trip especially if you travel with senior relatives and children. Clean room and bathroom, perfect hot water shower, good breakfast, nice location, friendly staff. Outstanding.
Decided to book this hotel because it had a reasonably priced family room. Even though the hotel was situated in Kuah town and about 30min drive to Cenang beach, we didn’t mind it. The payment to the hotel was a bit odd (booked thru Agoda), where it requested a bank transfer to the hotel account for deposit and then pay the balance while checkout, turned out to be legit though. As I said, the hotel was situated in town, so it was quite convenient. It is located just behind Langkawi Parade, facing a row of shops with convenient stores and restaurants. There are some places to eat in town as well, provided you have transportation. The hotel itself would be considered as a boutique hotel, since it is converted from shops. The room we had was of a good size, clean and facing the front street, so it didn’t feel claustrophobic like some of the cramped boutique hotels aplenty. The corridor was airy, though not lit during day time, relying on open skylights. The in-room WiFi was down throughout our stay, though I’d suspect if it were ever working. The included breakfast was very basic, not really something to look forward to, but the hotel restaurant’s food was quite good. Considering the value for money and convenience, the stay was not too bad. Though it leaves more to be desired, there are definitely potential for improvement, so don’t get your expectations too high.…
