This was my second time to stay at this place simply because its location which is a walking distance to night market and amenities.Still some rooms are not thoroughly taken care of e.g clogged basin, limited TV channels etc. Overall, it is still acceptable to stay for those who are not so choosy.
This is the second visit after a year. Parking space seems to be lesser with the basement restricted but, we are lucky, all the cars have a parking spot. The rooms however is a little dirty comparatively, water is yellowish (rust, I suppose) and the overall quality is about average. On a brighter note, the staff that does the checking in and out are all very helpful and friendly.
Average accommodation. Good location if you are into night market shopping. Other than that, there is nothing much around it. Staffs are rigid when I request to see the room. Reason being every year guests have the same complaint subject - the bathroom. We checked in at 7.30pm and request for late check-out the next day. Front staff informed that there is a surcharge of RM$30/hour. And I was just asking till 1pm. Breakfast can skip. Good thing only is the spacious room and the carpark. Overall- building & service need to be improvised. And I think the air-con in the lobby is off after breakfast. For all this, to me the rate is expensive.
Well, my first impression was ... what, the garbage collection point is at the front gate?? Then the kind jaga at the basement said I could park at the upper level, in front of the hotel. The lobby was kinda small ... I was used to Park Avenue, Sungai Petani lobby ... and the pool - which looked big enough on google - was actually fine for small kids only. The family room itself was alright, though the airconditioning was a bit weak. Fortunately, they had a fan which helped to cool the room further. All in all, it was a satisfactory visit ... oh, I didnt take their breakfast since Agoda never mentioned it!
This hotel is spacious. Generally, it is clean and what I like most about it is the extra space like a bar counter with sink with ample space to put your food. The toilet definitely needs a little cleaning. The water supply can be a bit inconsistent at times but, still bearable. Overall, I would say that it is quite cheap to stay in.
The rate is reasonable.food okay but I only eat once. The room is spacious but the bathroom is dirty. Like they never scrub the tiles! Such a terrible condition. The kitchen is also dirty. I think they need to do something about their cleaning staff
What's good about this hotel: 1) It's near to Wakaf Che Yeh, where the night markets are. You just need to cross the road. 2) Room is spacious. What's bad about this hotel: 1) Hygiene and cleanliness! This is the biggest problem. It seems as if this hotel doesn't have a proper maintenance / cleaning crew. As you walk into the lobby, you notice muddy shoe prints on the tiled floor. The indoor swimming pool to your left is filled with murky green water. It's like they're giving you signs of what's to come. Once you're in your room, the toilet greets you with a strong and funky smell. It smells of mold, it smells of someone not cleaning the toilet properly. And you could see the brown yellowish mold at the corners of the floor, walls and edges of the sink. The chrome taps and bidet are covered in water spots, another indication that the cleaner did not do his/her job properly. The toilet bowl is filled with brown water, which you are then required to flush first before doing your business. You have to do all this quickly though, as the smell is too overpowering. As you rush out of the toilet and lie down on the bed, you realise that you will have to shower in that despicable toilet soon. You've made a mistake for booking this hotel. Let that sink in. 2) The location of the hotel is not so strategic if you go to the city center a lot. Wakaf Che Yeh is the only attraction that's just across the main road...and a McDonald's...if you're that kind of traveler. 3) Gym's a joke. It's outside the hotel near the trash area. And it only has a treadmill and a stationary bike. Plus the room smells of, you've guess it, mold. 4) Do a bit of exploring and observing around the hotel and you will see the disorganization of the place i.e boxes stacked up against the wall near the conference room, papers littered on the front desk etc. 5) WiFi is weak. Conclusion: I don't mean to bash this place so much. But what would all this say about the kind of culture the hotel is practicing? The state of cleanliness alone gave me doubts about their breakfast spread in the morning, of which I went out to have instead. How could I trust their food hygiene is their overall hygiene is disappointing? I just hope the hotel will improve on this.…
The check in process went well and the receptionist is friendly. i booked a room for 3 and the room is super spacious. there is even a small counter in the room that have heater and microwave. Mcdonald is just around 2 minute walking distance. you can walk to wakaf che yeh after crossing a main road. but, the only thing that i hate about this hotel is the toilet. the toilet air ventilation is super bad. and inside the toilet bowl, the water is dirty (brown colour)
Stayed for a night. A hotel with apartment concept. Room is spacious with comfortable bed and pillow. Quiet clean because it is newly operated. Should take more care and attention to the the cleaniness of the small bathroom . Credit to the delicious breakfast, mixture of good local and western. Spacious carpark provided and good security.
The Deluxe room is quite big and comfortable. With sink and kitchen cabinet and suitable for dining. The pool is for kids only and can play with minimum supervision. The breakfast not that special compare the the availability of good food surrounding Kota Bahru. Parking on the basement quite tight and not adequate although the open parking in the ground floor is available. WiFi connection is worse, not even managed to get connected during my stay. Location just in front of Wakaf Che Yeh just heaven for shoppers alike...
