This is the best hotel in Kota Bahru. It is situated in the middle of Kota Bahru city easily assessible to the government offices located nearby. It is not too far away from the airport. The superior twin room is large and clean with nice decor. The bathroom is spacious with a shower stall and fitted with a faucet convenient for taking wudhu' (ablution). Towels are changed everyday. Our room is overlooking the swimming pool. We could see people having their breakfast on the terrace next to the pool before the sun is up.

This hotel has 2 sections: the newly built tower block, and a 3 storey old wing, RefurbishIng an old wing to complement the new seems to be a challenge for this hotel. What they have effectively done is to upgrade the bathroom, lay new carpet and furniture. But by not paying attention to details there are tell tale signs: rotting door frame, broken but hastily patched up stonework, peeling wall paper edges, inefficient air conditioning.
The hotel is an established brand and was the premier hotel in town. When other new ones were built, they lost the crown. The new tower and refurbished old wing is the comeback. With friendly and attentive staff, excellent breakfast spread, cozy lobby, large pool, accessible open car park, they have reclaimed the title. All they need is to pay attention to details and not let room deterioration bring them down.

I stayed with my daughter in one of the lower floored twin rooms. The room itself looked and felt clean but the bathroom looked like it had seen better days. Cracks and chipped wood everywhere. The bathtub was raised so high that I felt like a gymnast everytime I had to get in and out of it. The room was a good size though, could easily fit in another mattress or single bed.
The breakfast buffet was very good. They had the traditional Kelantan food such as Nasi Dagang and Laksam and also your continental breakfast spread too.
The pool looked nice but I didn't try it out.
Location-wise, the hotel is smack in the middle of town. Walking distance to the Kelantan Museum and Arts Gallery, also to the Kota Bahru Stadium and the many stalls surrounding it. The staff were very friendly and seemed equipped in handling guests during this pandemic season.
May repeat staying here again if ever in Kelantan.

The room is very spacious but the aircond isn’t very cool. Had to leave it on while we’re out so we dont come back to a hot room. The bathroom was so small, the shower water will leak to the floor every time we shower. Overall isn't so bad.
Our room comes with breakfast that serves local food with some cereal n pastry. Pastry was dry too but eatable 😂. I would suggest to eat out when possible to maximise the local food experience.

This is my second time staying in this hotel. Perdana means Premier and I guess it shows it all. Room is just cosy and comfort. For muslim guests, the hotel provides praying facilities such as prayer mat, prayer rob for ladies and sarong for men. Strategic location makes it accessible to various places of interest in Kota Bharu. The breakfast menu changes every day with local foods and delicacies. Highly recommended.

I think this is my 8th time I stay with this hotel. Very nice hotel, only some room need to be touch out a bit, like the wall and bathroom, shower knob rusty, expect the bathroom be more tidy clean. Overall it’s work to stay in this hotel.

There is nothing great I can say about this hotel apart from its location. The lobby looks grand and pleasant - nice thoughts of stationing a welcome drink dispenser by the reception.
It was weekend and hotel was full. We were assigned in a room at the far end and a long walk from the passenger lifts, despite after telling the reception that my friend has a leg injury.
Room is clean but needs refurbishments - stains on the walls and visible scratches on the bed head board.
Swimming pool is crowded but no one is monitoring the movements - guests were seen swimming without proper attire and soiled towels were strewn all over the places.
Due to not many choices of good hotels, people would have no options but to stay here during transit or holiday in KB.

The Perdana was highly recommended and fulfilled most expectations. The grand dame with furnishings reminiscent of an upper class colonial era establishment and customer service of top quality all served to make a short but memorable stay. Spacious room with all the modern amenities although hot shower was slightly disappointing as the water temp was tepid at best (so make sure you check the water temp before you start unpacking if showers are critical on the checklist- in case you want to move). Otherwise the breakfast spread is nothing short of spectacular and includes anything and everything including local east coast (and my) favourites too. The main Siti Khadijah market famous for local knick-knacks is a short 10-15 minute walk, the well versed Concierges will be most happy to direct you. Also KB mall, more modern with a whole range of shops including a grocery supermarket is at a similar distance away in the opposite direction. Overall, an enjoyable stay and would stay again (except for the shower so would be prepared in future!).

It is crucial that the room air conditioning temperature be cooling and pleasant. This is very much lacking at this hotel. Do a Google search for ideal room temperature for sleep and it will state 16-17 oC. The temperature of the room is 22.8 oC. Hence far for ideal sleep.
Desk clerk checking me in has running and block nose. On enquiring if she has a cold, she reply affirmative plus a sore throat. With the high publicity and concern for the corona flu threatening the globe, the hotel management should not put her on the front line serving guests. She was not wearing any facial protective mask or anything to this effect.

My daughter booked a set lunch for 5 to celebrate my birthday on the 13th June 2020 at Hotel Perdana Kota Bharu. I would like to express our regret that the lunch menu which was ordered and the one prepared for us is totally different. When asked about it, the blame was shoved towards the one who took the order as it seemed that there is a different menu during MCO and the they failed to inform my daughter about it. They even have the audacity to ask for a deposit from my daughter if we wanted to have our lunch on time. The staff were quite uncooperative and rude after we queried about the menu.
I'm really disappointed that Hotel Perdana have ruined my birthday lunch.
