Hotel is located in a local Malay village; and I used this as a layover night before I went to Besut for my island trip.
Nice Malay kampung house feel, and views of the islands are beautiful, however maintenance is quite bad. Rooms are decent, sheets are clean however not spotlessly clean- bathroom could do a good scrubbing and there are dust everywhere.
Looks like the hotel needs a good scrubbing; and be affixed with Wi-Fi throughout the hotel; and have better access to food/ transport.
Restaurant wasn’t open when I arrived and I could not get dinner; and neither could I get a grab car due to the remote location. I had to resort to Google to call restaurants nearby for SOS to get them to deliver food to me for dinner. There were no restaurants or stalls nearby for food either.
Breakfast was a local small buffet variety of rice Nasi Lemak, some local snacks kuehs, and coffee tea.
There was a nice swimming pool but was quite packed during my visit and some horses for a ride at the beach.
Would only recommend here if you’d like a small seaside resort, and if you have your own transportation/contacts- or you’d like a quiet place to work/write a book/ relax/ etc.

We had the privilege of staying at this resort on the 1st and 2nd of August, 2011. This was our second stay there this year. (4 adults, 2 children)
I must compliment them on the peaceful ambience and well decorated and maintained rooms.
My first stay there was simply wonderful and restful. Thus, i was indeed surprised and taken aback by what transpired during my second visit there. I had decided to give the sauna a try, and all of a sudden, there was this lady with what appeared to be thickly drawn eyebrows who opened the door and asked what i was doing in there. What else does one do in a sauna? I was too shocked to retort. Then she went on to say something about the electricity consumption of the sauna, etc. I thought it rather rude and uncalled for. The electricity consumption of such facilities should not be a concern of any guest. A guest’s responsibility is to pay his bill and adhere to the resort’s rules and regulations. Such rules and regulations should be spelt out clearly upon checking in, and not doled out as and when. I found out later that this lady was in fact the resort's owner. How sad!
My wife also had quite a startle, with some elderly man (who was with this woman) loudly asking in Malay whether they were guests or not, as they were on their way to the pool. For a guest who understands the Malay language, this can be seen as a rather rude behaviour. Perhaps an alternative would be to tag their guests with a wrist label.
My Syamsul who mans the reception desk was most welcoming, helpful, professional and courteous. He’s a gem of a staff to have.
I'll only stay there again when the owner is not around

Like many before us we needed somewhere to stay before catching a flight returning from the Perhentians. This place ticked the boxes and the price found on booking.com was good. The room was large and clean and the buffet dinner was tasty. However, after 10 days on the Perhentians, everything else was a disappointment.
There were very few guests and the whole place had a very strange feel to it. E.g. buildings not maintained, too many staff sitting around socialising, I was woken several times by a walkie-talkie being used outside my bedroom etc. Also, Karaoke was enjoyed until 4am.
The beach was littered with rubbish and used by the locals to test their motorbike driving skills. There were several signs warning of rip tides.

Establishment needs a new leadership and investors. For a rundown hotel, the price is high and is misleading with the actual facts. Dont be fooled by the adverts, IG and facebook, they only show nice shots and pretty stuffs. Garden is untrimmed, cafeteria leaking everywhere, rubbish near the pool, algae growing in there too. While the staffs are trying their best to make it work, but the owners are either simply ignorant of the quality or have very low standards. Regretted paying RM900 for 2 rooms and get a lousy homestay standard. Wish i could get my money back and hope they will close down this embarassment. Anyways, it seems that the sea is slowly swallowing the beachfront area.

Not worth the money. We pay premium price for poor maintenance facility. Beddings are old. Cracking noise when the kids switches their position while sleeping. Bath is also poorly maintain. Shower flow are clogged with hard water. Even my kids peeing is much of the water compare to the shower. 😜😜 Pool is also not wellkept. Beaches are also not very nice to dip in with. (maybe due to the moonsoon season) Hotel surrounding also not well kept. Mosquitoes are bad.
They have the game guy for security, poolkeeper, beach keeper and maintenance. Breakfast spead is terrible. Do not expect much of variety. Nasi lemak with small piece of eggs. And nasi bungkus/berlauk. Flys are all over the place.

Me and parents went to villa danialla thinking of having our dinner in the restaurant. Very surprising, THE OWNER CHASED US OUT saying if you are not guest from Villa danialla, then you are not supposed to go in the resort. What resort is that which chase their customer out? I would never ever again step into that crap resort and wouldnt let my friends do that too !

My family and I booked ourselves into this villa and boy oh boy did we get a shock of our lives! 8 people checked into 3 rooms at 8.00pm on Wednesday 27 June 2012 At 10.30pm on Wednesday 27 June 2012 , we rang the Duty Manager, Sarah Saiful, to inform her that we are checking out the next morning and wish to request a refund for the rooms. We are only going to pay for one night at RM800. We paid a deposit of RM2,025 and would be expecting a refund of at least RM1,200.
•Conditions of the rooms were unsatisfactory •There was faeces in the living room •Dusty and dirty tables and chairs in the living room •A frog and leeches in one bedroom •Ant infestation in all three rooms •Dusty bedroom floors in all three rooms – Floors were not swept •Sandy and dusty bed sheets with strands of hair in all the beds in the three rooms •The bed sheets on numerous beds in the three rooms were blood stained •Mouldy pillows in one bedroom •Tattered pillowcases in one bedroom •Blood stained curtains in one bedroom •Faulty window handles attached with improvised cooking tongs in one bedroom •Stained towels in two bedrooms •Toilet hose not working in one bedroom •No programming available on television – No reception of all channels in all three rooms. •Lipstick stained drinking glasses in one bedroom •Dusty armchairs causing skin rash •Dirty and murky swimming pool •Duty manager (Sarah Saiful) refused to see us when we requested to meet to discuss the condition of the rooms. We waited for almost 90 minutes but Duty Manager refused to meet us. Junior hotel staff was left to deal with us. •Duty Manager’s friend, who was the Operational Manager (Farhana), eventually came to see us but was very rude and arrogant in dealing with us. She refused to advise us of the appropriate escalation channels for us to raise our concerns and to request the refunds. She also refused to tell us the name of the owner, despite advising us that only the owner of the property is authorised to process refund. She informed us that the owner oh the hotel is in Azerbaijan, and then suggested we travel there to speak to the owner. •Duty manager immediately fled the property via the back entrance without responding to our request to meet her.

I am writing this to let all of you know how bad the attitude of their management and staff of this hotel. To be true the outlook of the hotel looks great and ideal for family getaway but too bad they just ruin their business.
Basically I was visitng the resort with my relatives in Malaysia to have a look of the beach and etc, we are indeed not paying guest in the hotel we are just dropping by the place for a look. We went to the beach and have a look that is when one of the staff came over and CHASED us off the beach. We were not even making noises we are just standing there looking and enjoying the sea breeze. Thereafter we left and wondering if the beach might be private to them.
When we get back we questioned them through their Facebook page asking if the beach is private or public and they mentioned that it is public but however they will like the public to avoid the area as for the privacy of their hotel guests. So we were telling them their staff attitude was not asking for our cooperation he was CHASING us off instead moreover it is a public beach so to be exact they do not have the rights to chase us off.
I worked in the service industry in hotels before and I do understand their point of protecting the privacy and comfort of their guests so we feedback to them on the attitude of the staff and they replied us saying that if that is the case we should just not step into the place again and it is jus too bad for us. We were all so SHOCKED by their reply towards our feedback and end of the day they deleted our feedback.
From what we see from other reviews, it is not the first time they were given bad comments and other people had been chased away from the beach as well. In that case they should just buy over a part of the beach and set it as their private beach to prevent issues arising. The hotel attitude and management replies are just so disappointing and they just lose us as potential guests.
Please think twice before staying there.
