This hotel actually consists of three condo penthouse unit and it occupies the two topmost floor of a condo complex. The service offered is minimal. There is a 24 hour reception and the rooms are very clean. However, no door man. You let yourself into the hotel with an access card, which you also use for the lift. The rooms are basic, the appointments all worked. Remembering the condo structure, there are huge lounges, furnished with armchairs and dining tables, which are free for all the guests’ use. Since I was alone in these areas most of the time, I felt like it was my penthouse! There are wonderful balconies offering 360 degree views. There is no food and beverage department, but there is a shopping mall downstairs, with food outlets.

This is a budget hotel, suitable for family. The staff were friendly and helpful. The wifi connection is fine, and they provided us with a voucher for breakfast at a restaurant nearby, which is nice and delicious.

However, the hotel itself was very hard to be found, as it is located at the 23rd floor of a kondominium. The noise from the elevator can be disturbance, but soon you may adapt to it. Location wise, near to city center and there is a shopping mall downstairs.

So hidden from the mainroad, that our taxi could not find it - and gave up! So we was left on the grand hotel at the other side. We found it after all!
The lobby looks like an intro to a Japanese horror movie! But when you enter the 29th floor/penthouse and meet the owner, you will be very impressed. The hospatility is more that you can ask for. The owner told us all about the city. Also gave us good advise within the "district": indian food, arab food, the mall... We got a "breakfast" ticket that was due on the other side of the street. Go there - it was awesome... Wash your hands and eat with your fingers...

My room no. is number 8.
This room located just under the lift motor of the building, u can hear the motors sound even at 2am and its very loud.

No fridge,no hair dryer. Air cond remote also damage. Floor are uneven, tiles are removed.

For 4 person room, they only provided two cups.

The bathroom soap dispenser is damage, i need to open from top cover to scoop it. There's also no soap at hand wash basin. The soap they use is very cheapskate, i cn see a very obvious coloring like syrup.
Water pressure is low as well.

Good point: i book without bfast and they provided 1 day free bfast.

P/s: bfast is not at their hotel, u need to walk across the road to a local cafe to have it.

We walked in to this hotel and it all started bad, should walked away but a colleague of mine says is a decent stay and affordable price especially for 4 person.

First, you cannnot access the hotel "walked in" you need to call and ask them to come down the hotel and ask for the door to be open.

Second, we specifically ask for quiet room, but the whole night no one can sleep because of this horrendous loud noise, now I know from review it is the elevator shaft sound. Ask for a room change, told us no more room available, I look around, it seem we are the only tenant. FUNNY !

Third, the bed is like water bed + squeeking sound

Last of ALL, we charge for 2 night confirmation, but we decided to stay for one, we ask to re charge our CC for 1 night we stay, the employee is helpful, but the manager insisted to charge both night. Called the CC support line, they inform the charges is not being made, only being confirmed and nothing much they can do until they charge it accordingly then only we can file a complaint.

The manager insist to charge for the second night and we decided to filed complaint against them.

Strongly advise all tourist, visitor or anyone AVOID this hotel at all cost.

We stayed in room no 5 : 1 double + 2 single beds. Absolutely loved the towels! It was clean and smells good. The room and bathroom was huge. Conveniently located next to a mall. A lot of eateries around the area. Bath foam and shampoo provided.

Hotel is located inside a condominium (penthouse level 29). To get to the hotel, guest would need to call. It would be less a hassle if they'd provide a signboard to inform guest or an intercom by the door.

Well worth the money, if you are heading back to KB and need a place to put up, try the Penthouse.
Beautiful view of the Town.
Clean, simple and they have family halls for the whole village clan to meet too.
We also booked the meeting hall, nice enough for any Corporate usage.

It was Hari Raya and we needed a hotel ASAP because the hotel we were at was below expectations and dirty. A quick search on hotels closest to us as well as good reviews pointed us to this hotel -- and we were glad we picked it.

First of all, it was clean -- our main criteria as parents to an infant. And on top of that, it was comfortable, conveniently located and had a fantastic view, together with a balcony attached to enjoy that view (which is ideal for smokers too). We couldn't stop looking out the window.

However, there were a few drawbacks. Since the hotel occupies the topmost floor of a condo complex, one needed an access card to go up to the hotel. Meaning that before checking in, you would need a person from the front desk to come down to the lobby or parking lot entrance to let you in. This is not convenient if you have a lot of things to carry (and no, they do not have a bellhop either to help you with your luggage). However, this lends a sense of security.

Other drawbacks include not having breakfast in the package (but you are in Kota Bharu, meaning plenty of good food at every corner). No coffee and tea sachets in the room for a hot beverage in the morning. And also that you need to take the stairs if you get rooms at the very top.

Service-wise, while the person at the front desk was chatty and decent, there was no professionalism -- he obviously lacked hospitality training. He did not exude warmth and welcome one would expect at most hotel, just general decency. While this was not a big issue with us, the person also offered us some coffee products he was selling on the side and urged us to like a Facebook page. Again, it was not a big issue, but it was not very professional and made the situation rather awkward. Proper training on etiquette was sorely needed for a person in this position.

A reminder for families with young kids: This hotel may not be the best choice for you if you have children who can be rather rowdy/curious/etc as there is insufficient safeguards around the windows and balcony area. A curious toddler can easily fall off if not supervised.

However, I am sure that this is just the one person and other persons at the front desk did not act this way. In any case, better training would further improve the quality of the hotel and I am sure will then attract more customers.

With that said, I enjoyed my stay nevertheless. For the price, it was a good place to stay and I will readily overlook all shortcomings. In fact, I had no problems with my stay and my comments were mere suggestions on how to improve the hotel. I believe that the hotel can be much better than it is with just a few changes.

Again, bear in mind that this is pretty much a basic hotel, lacking certain amenities and convenience many hotels offer. But if you are not too fussy and just looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay at a convenient location and an affordable price with a beautiful view to boot, this is a good place to consider. I will definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you for the stay.
