We stayed in this hotel before the trip to Perhentian Islands. Hotel is well located, but one side is on main busy road. Hotel looks better from outside, than inside really is. Breakfast was very average, dinner was not offered. Other restaurant with beer is 10 min walk. There is ATM just 20 meters. If you plan your jurney to Perhentian Islands, you can take taxi and visit 3-4 buddha statues around Kota Bharu. Trip from hotel to 4 buddhas take aprox. 2 hours and than way to Kuala Besut aprox. 1,5 hour, dependns on traffic jam. For this whole trip we paid 120 Myr (4 people in the car). Better to hire taxi on the street. Boat cost 70 Myr two way ticket and goes at 8, 12, 4PM, trip takes aprox. 30 minutes.
Old hotel, everything is old n musty, broken soap platform in the bath, we were charged 10rm extra each for pillows and towels. Food is cheap and good at the restaurant downstairs. Near centre of town, easy to get around, not cheap for a budget hotel.
Stayed here for work in January To be fair, it was after the December floods. Phones were down, Internet was patchy with bad connection. First room i got, the toilet flush was broken, The bed was dirty, stains on the sheets. i couldn't use the phone as it was down, so i went to recep to inform them. Went out and came back to a still broken flush. Had to go downstairs again to tell them again. They then say their maintenance is off or something. Demanded for another room, and they gave me another room across my current room. Had to self re-pack up and move over. Room was better, but the internet was really bad. There were dirty dishes next to the elevator for the whole day since i checked in till the next morning. Where were the housekeeping staff? Anyhow next morning, i…
stayed here for a night in october, for work purpose. the room is small, smelly (damp) and not clean. there were spots of dirt on the wall and carpet. the bathroom is small too and damp. luckily the shower worked well. i guess it is because the wooden furniture that they use. i didn't hang my clothes in the wardrobe, the odor was too strong. breakfast very limited, only nasi lemak, a noodle, malay kuih (cakes) and toasts. like the title of my review, the location is the only good thing about the hotel.
Book for 2 nites, the first impression when i came in this hotel already make me feel bad, the reception who attend us are unpolite n dont even give a smile when we came in, she charge rm30 for early checkin but she dont even give us the breakfast voucher. When go up to the room makes me feel like wanna blow up! The bedsheet and the duvei is used, they only change the pillow case so its look like evrythings change and new, the toilet floor so dirty and smell like theres something dead inside. I call the reception and ask them to change everything, when the housekeeping came they show their angry and unsatisfied faces. Cant stand for a day so i tell the reception that i want to check the next day but she replied that my deposit for 2nd day considered burn! What kind of hotel is…
I stayed here for One night before going to Perhentian. The hotel is really dirty and fun-down. The sheets was yellow stained, and my frinends found in their room some insects on the table. Avoid this place!
We stayed here for 1 night on our way to the perhantians. The staff here were extremely helpful, allowing us to use their phone, organise transfers etc. it was a comfortable room & the breakfast was tasty too
Just back yesterday after a two nights stay for business trip. Room is big for the price you pay but the cleanliness of the toilet need to be improve eg., the mirror of my room 218 has stain on it and need to replace the whole mirror. The TV channels are very limited, only fox movie and arena sport from Astro. Breakfast is a total disappointment, little choices and short period of time for breakfast (730-930). Very good location because is near to giant and the store. Also it is quite convenient to take your lunch in a walking distance but dinner a bit difficult. Another thing is the wifi is not fast, and sometimes tend to disconnect. One more thing that I think management can improve is the socket because there were only two socket for charging and one of them is under the…
Coming from the Perhentians, we had a stop-over in Kota Bharu. We just needed something for one night, so we decided to book a room at Habib Hotel. It was such a good experience to stay at a place again with big and most of all really clean rooms again. The staff is extremely helpful in every way and even let us back in our rooms again after already having checked out (train in the early morning was cancelled, so we headed back to Habib Hotel). AC and WIFI are working perfectly. Though there were just us and another 2 guys staying at this hotel, they had quite a big buffet for breakfast with tasty food (western and asian). Regarding the location: It couldn't have been better for us. There are plenty of stalls around the corner and its just a 5 minutes walk to the main bus…
I chose this hotel for its location which is smack bang in the city. It is 5-8 minutes walk from Pasar Siti Khadijah, shopping centre, lots of jewellery shops, government offices and the main bus station. Room is pretty basic and ok enough for 2 persons. More than 2 or 3 would be pretty cramped. There is a door-less elevator which is mmmm......(don't know how to put it exactly) which serves 3 floors. The staff are helpful and there is a local tomyam stall right in front of the hotel. All in all, I guess this is a decent compared to a few others in town and if you are looking into transiting in Kota Bharu via the bus network, this would be a good choice.
