Well, its a very low budget hotel. So high expectation will bring you disappointment. The room quite huge. Water pressure is very high. Air-conditioner still working well and very cooling. But, problem is heavy smoking smells. Apart from that, the room is ok for 1 or 2 nights stay.

It is a bit hard to find, no one knows it around, it's in a little alley from the Main Street and the location in both Apple Map and Google Map is wrong. To get there, from a coffee called "cycling coffee" take your right, walk through the big crossroad, continue straight and you will see on your left a small red sign "Rise garden in". After 2 terrible budget hotel experiences in this city we ended up in this one and it was a relief ! So clean, even the bathroom is one of the cleanest we had across south east Asia. Shower is great : good pressure, even hot water ! Our toilet was blocked when we arrived and someone immediately took action to fix it. We had AC working perfectly and a huge fan on the ceiling. A TV with decent channels. The best shower we had in SE Asia. A decent bed. A sheet of the right size ! Plugs that work. Good wifi (although it was on and off, mostly off in the evening). There is even free cold water to fill your bottle next to the reception. Staff is nice but completely unhelpful if you need any advice on town tours, maps, restaurant ideas or anything. They just don't know. Anything. Try to get the rooms on the 1st floor facing the street (it's a quiet alley), you will get a balcony with a long chair and the sound of the birds! We paid 55RM per night and it was worth every penny.…

We stayed for two nights, the room was not huge but big enough for a couple. Very clean, good air con and the bed was quite good. The staff were helpful and the location was very good close to everything but in a quiet lane. I would stay here again, good budget accommodation.

The hotel is directly in the middle of kota baru not far from the thai embassy. you got everything with a 5 minute walk: big mall.s mcdonalds, ect. the hotel is very cute for kota baru and very silent , yes you can sitt infront between roses and you cant hear the cars , only birds :). the owner and his mom are very nice and gentle people. the internet is awesome , it was possible to play my game with a europe server with a ping of 200. this is now my hotel in kota baru and believe me i tryed alot hotels there but this one is the best what you can get for a fair price. markus pfeifer.
