The resort is located at the highest point of Cameron Highlands. Just imagine the driving experience just to get here, at Brinchang town. We purposely plan our stay on April weekend (less rain and no school holliday). Booked through its direct website, we managed to get good bargain (other hotels charged extra RM100 on average). First thing that we really enjoyed was the big external balcony facing the big tea farm.Imagine the fresh air breeze and cool sensation. Our room were equipped with lazy chair and picnic table set.Although they covered the whole floor with wooden decorative flooring, without any heater- it is so damn cold. You need to wear slippers to warm your feet. Its also very convinient to have cable movie channels and sports in the living room while we can relax on the sofa bed. There are many shop houses surrounding the apartment offering essential services such as grocery store, restaurants and karaoke. We frequented the Coffee House inside the Equitorial Hotel since the meal pricing was very reasonable with profesional Chef servings.
We were also lucky since when we check-in,the room was already upgraded with electronics door locks. We checked the main electrical switch board and found out that they are using expensive German's brand swithces that made our piece of mind. The hot water system for shower needs upgrade since it took 30 minutes for the replacement of 25 liter (just enough for two adults at one time).Overall, don't expect too much at this top of the hill location. Just enjoy the farm view and take it easy. Don't drive a lot since the traffic jamn will spoil your holliday.

Getting in - It's located right in Equatorial's corner of the hill. So it's easy except during peak period, you'll get stuck in traffic because just outside the road entrance begins the market. If you're walking then it might be a good distance to a nearby market selling vege, souvenirs, etc.
Room style - It's a one bedroom apartment with 2 toilets, 1 kitchen no cooking, balcony & living. No aircond because you dont need one. There's hot water when you switch on.
Condition - For a place that has just been reburished, the condition is not great. I was expecting almost all spanking new things. One of the kitchen cabinet door was off its hinge. Our kettle leaked so had to be replaced. We were placed in an apartment on the bottom floor. Only view you get is the wall from the kitchen. Living & bedroom view are of the farm. It was peak time when we stayed. We could hear vehicles honking and driving away.
Whats not there - The flat screen tv shown in the advert. There're 2 old tv with less than 5 channels one being vision 4 (the best option). Fruit basket not there as in the advert. No toiletries, shampoo & body shower are provided in a wall dispenser at shower area. Iron & board ask from reception.
Whats good? This place suits family requiring the space, has minimal expectation, satisfies simple needs, not hotel price (we stayed here because they were giving approximately 50% off the rates which brings to MYR 160 a night).
What not to expect - That its a resort or 4-5 star hotel.

We booked this 'resort' to relax after a long journey. What a disappointment! The outside of the appartements (and the pictures on internet) do not warn for the filthy inside. The appartement was extremely dirty! It looked like the scene of a horror movie: Blood stains were visible through the thin sheets and the pillows were full of funghi. The shower curtain was white a long time ago but now black of mould. The kitchen could not be used.

Only positive remark: We got our money back when we left earlier.

It was a nightmare to be there.

We paid 3x the price of hostels as we wanted to have a good hotel stay and a good night sleep. However, what we got was entirely opposite.

Once I entered the room, we were greeted by walls used to be white but now, filled with stains.
I proceeded to the common room toilet and a cockroach scurried away. The toilet was filled with stains and so was the tray where the cups were placed. Came out of the toilet and noticed a lipstick stain on the wall. Who or what would kiss a stained wall? Was it a filming site for some horror movie? Because it felt like it.

The head board of the bed had a stain! An area of the wall has its paint totally peeled out. Drawer worn and peeled that you wouldn't even trust your trash with it. Bathtub has a rusted crack. Rusted fringe. Oh gosh, I have a long list and I am not trying to be difficult. My buddy and I felt cleaner after spending a whole day outside than to be in the room. I couldn't understand what manner of self-respecting hotelier would give guests such a room. As an average traveller of average prestige, I say: "how dare you!"

In case, someone is thinking I'm a newly released mad man in the loose, I have taken many photos as proofs. In fact, the photos shown a kinder image! I am just not sure where do I submit the photos. I definitely to save others from suffering a potential fate like mine and my buddy's.

I will be glad if tripadvisor can send me a msg on how to submit photos. Will love to share.

I don't know how is possible it could be on Booking and unbelievable call it hotel or resort. (pictures attached)

We spent four days really worried about our health.
Mold is everywhere, on the ceiling, on the floor, toilet seat, shower, etc
A lot of dust as the room was opened the first time after years.
We've killed 3 spiders, one roach and an incredible number of mosquitos.

They changed our room after two days , and the second apartment was similar than the first. Dirty, broken , crumbling.

The bed sheets were dirty, worn-out, we slept with our dress on.

Wireless doesn't work in the first room and slowly and bad in the second .

Not possible to use the kitchen and one of two bathrooms.

And all of this for an amount of 75€ for night !!

Stayed there in Dec 2012.

Plus point.... 1)Huge balcony with gd view. Lots of fresh air.
2) Spacious apartment.

Demerits.....1) sofa bed linen badly torn and lots of hairs and dirt. Other bedlinen had a moldy smell.
2) bathrooms were filthy. No shower curtain and we had to wet the toilet floors.
3) Free WIFI? It was non existent totally.
4) There is a phone in the apartment but there are no instructions for you to call the reception. If you needed anything, pls walk all the way out to the reception which can be very far away depending on your unit location. By the way, the phone isn't working. It was only there for decorative purpose I guess.
5) Resort offered breakfast delivery. We ordered but it never arrived the next morning. We were in the apartment and waited an extra 20mins after the said delivery time. When we asked them later, they claimed that they were at our apartment but no one answered the door. Our door was wide open by the way.
6) If you aren't driving, it can be a hassle to walk out to the reception. Works better if you have a car.

Overall, this resort is suitable for the budget conscious. Basic cleanliness isn't there. Was a dusty apartment. Badly maintained resort. Will not recommend to friends. We will rather have a smaller but clean apartment.

Yes, it is located in Cameron Highland and just within the former equatorial hotel compound , current called Copthorne Hotel. Their reception is just located at the road side before entering to Copthorne carpark area, just at left side shop lot.
