Looks like any regular shoplot hotels in small towns but it's extremely clean. Amenities worked well and conveniently located within walking distance to convenience store and food centers. Will stay here again whenever I'm in Jerantut.

Stayed a night for our climb up the Red Forest and the Via Ferrata at Paya Gunung. Location is perfect. Near those 2 places as well as cafes and restaurants. Clean, big rooms, great shower water pressure and friendly host.

Uncle Manian and his staffs is the best receiptionist I ever seen. Checked in this hotel just to meet him. Its worth it. Very experienced guy and down to earth. The best i hv stayed in Jerantut so far.

Altogether we stayed three nights in Wau Hotel (on our way to and from Taman Negara) and we were very happy with our stay. A double room costs 90 RM per night (as of March 2012), the rooms are clean and nice and modern, with aircon and a very nice bathroom (good shower, western style toilet, clean). The staff was very friendly and helpful and were giving very good advice (e.g. we chose an unusual route after leaving jerantut, and they helped us find a quick and cheap bus connection for us). Note: there are rooms with and without windows. We stayed in both type and were happy with both - if you feel you need a window in your room, ask for it when booking or when arriving, and if possible the staff will make sure you get one. Only critical point: the breakfast is pretty basic (toast, butter, jam, tea or coffee), altough on some days they also had nasi lemak. But anyway there are plenty of alternative opportunities around the hotel to eat your breakfast. If you need snacks, water, juice, etc. during the day or for your trip, there is a small chinese shop two houses beside the hotel. In summary: very nice hotel, great staff (especially Mr Maniam, the afternoon/night clerk), we would recommend it at any time!

This is by far one of the best hotel in Jerantut as there are no other big hotels in this town. It is located on a busy street which is like the main road of the town. It is in fact a double storey shoplot.

Upon check-in, we were told that the room we booked has some issues that they have rearrange us to stay in another room at the ground level. The staff showed us the room and asked if it was fine with us. We just took the room as it was only for a night.

The room was very basic but quite clean. Lighting in the room was considerably dim. As our room was at the ground floor near to the reception, we could hear people talking and some noises. The walls are thin that we could hear people talking very clearly while we were in the room in the middle of the night.

There is a local grocery store and a restaurant a few doorstep away. It was convenient to get water and some snacks for the night.

We stayed here on our way to Taman Negara. We've seen many hotels in Jerantut but this is by far the nicest. All of the others see a bit sleezy. This one was spotless clean. We had a room at second floor (no elevators in this hotel), with three beds. Good beds. The room also was spotless clean. There was no window. After some hours our son destroyed the doorknob of the bathroom door. Staff relocated us to a bigger room at no extra charge. This was a suite room, with four beds. and a window. This made the room a lot warmer because of the sun which was shining through almost the entire day. At night we woke up by dripping water from the aircon. So we switched it off. That had an effect on the temperature.... Even though we did not sleep to good because of the temp, the beds were very comfy.

Breakfast is very simple. Some toast, jam, coffee and tea. Staff was very friendly. The also gave a restaurant tip at walking distance. Good Chinese restaurant where we ran into the guy from the hotel, he went there for food as well! We did not mind that the hotel is relatively far from town. You only go to Jerantut because it's convenient as a stopover to Taman Negara. The town has nothing.

This is by far the best hotel Ive stayed in the whole of Malaysia, and it was mainly because of the staff. They were extremely friendly, helpful. When we got there we were given maps of Jerantut, Taman Negara... We were explained lots of things. We were given a ride to the bus station twice. The rooms are big, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is included.
I will give it a 10 out of 10. Thank you!

Based on the reviews we booked this hotel. Yes, people are friendly, helpful and surroundings are nice. But our room had NO window. With a child of 1 year and the very dark surroundings we had a not so pleasant stay. Because there were no other room available, we had to stay. Really, if you book this hotel please make sure you have a window. Although the building is practically all concrete, we had some not so good night sleeps, due to unsafe feeling, what will occure if there was something to happen. Bare in mind, we had a child with us. So if your a backpacker and have no worries, this is probably no biggy. You can drive easily to all the "must" sees, so the location is okay.
