We had probably one of the worst check in experience in all the times we have stayed in any hotels in Malaysia. We arrived Kuantan in the morning but decided to go sightseeing first to respect the 3oclock check in time imposed by the hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 4.30 pm and as our passed the lobby, we could see a queue that stretched as far out into the hotel pavement ! We circled the parking a few times and when we finally got into the hotel lobby , our jaws dropped. There were three EXTREMELY long queue with anywhere between 30 to 50 people queing in in EACH line . All over the lobby were guest sitting on sofas , floors , near the lifts , in front of the cafes . There were elderlies and children standing with luggage bags. I stood in queue for almost 2 hours before it was my turn and despite the hotel confirming our connecting rooms via email days earlier , we weren't given the rooms as requested . And by 6.45 pm , only one room was ready. We rushed to our rooms and barey made it for Asar prayers . The receptionist said that someone will send our second room key in 30 minutes so one of my daughters stayed in the room while the rest of us went out for dinner . We came back at 9.30 and the key was still not sent. Went to the counter and receptionist said that someone came to the room to send key but nobody was there . Seriously ? My daughter was there waiting all along . The first room was also not properly cleaned with maggi crumbs behind the sofa , no light bulb on the table lamp and no ironing board . Given we are regulars at Zenith prior to Covid days , I am really disappointed that the hotel neglected the simple act of calculating max room to rent vs their manpower to manage the customers. If you are not ready to accept full occupancy , then don't sell so many rooms ! Renting rooms more than you can handle for your quick gain at the expense of your customers is hopelessly poor hotel management.

Had to wait at least 1 hour to check in (despite traveling with kids & baby). And this was with 4 check in counters operating, says something about the efficiency. Room was made up last minute hence missed out a lots of essential things (ie: no garbage bin, sink was stucked, no kettle, no floor mat for toilet). Breakfast dining hall was extremely crowded and the queue was all the way till the hotel lobby itself hence we decided to give it a skip. The MCO should have thought the hospitality sector to be more hospitable but looks like there seems to be no lessons learnt.

When we arrived on my daughter’s birthday, despite informing the hotel in advance there was no arrangement made by anyone to at least wish my child. We checked out the very next day although we planned extend our stay as a surprise for my daughter. There were no towels in the bathroom, we had to call housekeeping & waited a while for bath towels. The room was dusty & very dated furnishings. You will not feel welcomed.

Sub standard breakfast. Not many choices of menu. Not given black coffee even request for it. No juice drink serve. The room is ok. Cleanes is good. Have big safety box. Tv is small & not suitable to view from on bed.
