This is private owned apartments, the indoor apartments, room. bathroom is very clean and well taken care. Good job by the owners and caretakers. But the common area such corridors, lift is such bad shape and smelly. The lift in block B is so dirty and can seen dirty stain on the lift and smells. The corridors is not lighted well and late night is pretty creepy as well. The pool is normal and slight greenish. Beach is about 100m walking distance but when we went one of the us got stung by Jelly fish and the resort workers don't even know nearest medical facilities. Once chinese cafe by the beach but kind of pricey. If you would like to go then dont go with high expectations. If the common facilities is been improved then its great place to relax and rejuvenate.

The pictures are 20 years old. The hotel needs to invest in this property. It is old, and not very clean. It needs fresh paint. Change the lift's carpet, smells and it is old. The bathroom has a lot of mould. The pipe under the bath was broken and water everywhere after taking the shower. The toilet by reception needs attention. Sorry, I won't be going back.

Located somewhat secluded from the main road between Cherating and Chukai, this was a privately owned sea-side condominium with a never-ending stretch of beautiful beach. Rooms were nicely done up and spacious. Clean with great air conditioning, fully equipped kitchen with microwave, cooker hob, kettle etc. It got to be so, as it is a distance from anywhere unless you drive or enjoy walking.
Pool was nice size but sad that there is no control of proper swim wear. Women and children in their casual clothing and tudungs soaking up in the pool is barely OK, but grown ups boys and men in their jeans/T shirts is rediculous.

If you can tolerate ants, cockroaches or lizards running around your pillows or cutlery, then you'd like to size of their rooms.
If you also am willing to walk down to the reception area to get your toilet paper rolls, tissue papers, cups and plates and spoons, then you'd also may like their good wifi in the lobby and be kept entertained by hostile mosquitoes, Wifi in rooms - dont bet on it.
All rooms have bathtubs and if you arent careful, one can slip on their floors as water seeps everywhere in the bathroom.
In one of our 2 bedded room apartment, they placed only 1 set of cup & saucer & spoon (and expect 4 people to share it!!!)
In one room, they put a single bed right up against the cupboard and makes you figure very hard in trying to place anything into that cupboard.
Yes, housekeeping exists, but I think they have dementia problems, as they keep forgetting to remove used towels and replace them, or to reload bathroom soaps and toiletries.
Queer but it happened. Talk to any of the receptionist and you'll see the male staff sitting down in front of a computer and looking at the monitor with an occassional look at you..."What's that you've just said?"
Swimming pool? Not theirs...belongs to another contractor & "oh, we cant do anything about it, but we agree, it is not clean (but okay, if you like algae in it). They even attribute the state of the pool to people who wear their clothes into the pool!!

There arent that many resorts in the area, and we dropped over to look at a few of them (Casa Titek, Holiday Villa, Swiss Garden) and they are pretty well located (not like Samsuria which is isolated in one dark corner of the far side of Cherating), and first impressions were pretty positive.

My family love the place. Kids love the pool. Booked 2 units, but one unit may have things or facilities that the other unit don't. Inconsistent WIFI in room. Great access to the beach. Will consider to choose the hotel again if visited the place.

My family with older children love this place. full kitchen but insufficient utensils.. ie 3 glasses and 2 cups for a 3 bedroom apt (sleep 6). Staff were attentive and friendly, beautiful beach, clean pool. You will need a car. The lane leading to the hotel is a little creepy at night, one car lane with tall grass on the sides. The road from the highway is sadly polluted with bauxite laden dirt, stretches of road were damaged by the trailers transporting the dirt to the processing plant nearby. Nothing to do with the hotel but we were sadden by the blatant disregard to the environment, feel sorry for the locals.

Our group consisting of 3 couples booked the suite for 2 nights in June 2016

Was pretty skeptical at first because a friend had made the booking and when I read the reviews on tripadvisor, they were mixed reactions. It got me worried. Fortunately, our experience was a really good one and my worries proved to be unfounded

The turn off from the main road is easy to miss but we used waze and so it wasn't too much of a problem. Just slow down and look out for the signboards. In terms of the property itself, we found it to be really clean and the service staff were friendly enough. There is a convenience shop in the lobby selling basic necessities and then some. There's a pool in the middle of the 2 blocks. Seemed pretty clean when we were there. Didn't spend anytime here though as the beach is just past the hotel perimeter and it's super clean! Sandy beach and the best part is that it wasn't stony in the waters. No foot hazards. The water itself was very clear but didn't see any fishes around though.

The suite was spectacular. Very well appointed. Felt like we were entering someone's residence. 3 bedrooms and 4 baths with a sizeable kitchen, dining area and living space. Our favorite was the balcony which faces the sea. Soothing sounds from the waves and a cool breeze most of the day.

We spent most of our 2 days in the hotel premise itself, most of the time at the beach and the beach bar run by a french man. He had 2 very playful puppies that kept us entertained all the time, even when we were basking in the sun at the beach. What my wife didn't like was the occasional sand flies feasting on us. Got a bottle of bug repellent from town and that solved the problem.

It's a 15 to 20 mins drive to cherating beach if I recall. Went there twice. once for lunch and another for dinner. The once happening stripe is now pretty much quiet. Don't know if it's because we were there during Ramadan but I remember it to be super lively at night long time ago.

So overall, a good experience and was really pleased with the place. Will definitely go back

Our wedding beach-get-away was a great one at Samsuria! Though we went in Nov, which is the monsoon season, we were very lucky because it did not rain at all and our little beach wedding ceremony went on absolutely well! The apartments are huge and the kitchen is pretty complete with stove, oven, big fridge and utensils. There is a pool in the hotel but it is crowded when we were there. But then again, hey, the beach is just a few minutes walk away :) The staff and manager was very attentive and they made sure we were having a great time there. This is a perfect weekend get-away as the drive only took approximately 3 hours or less from KL. My partner and I will definitely go back to this place again! So should you :)
