We did not get what we paid for. We paid rm70 more per night and all we got was a box of mediocre nasi lemak/omellete. The hotel staff blame it on MCO, but surely they can do better. They are charging us extra for additional bottled water requested.
The room is very out-dated. We stayed in the palace wing room, surely having a disgusting chocolate wrapping water stuck in sink outlet the entire time does not make us feel like a royal. The hotel prides itself by claiming regular sanitization but the truth is even the side tables are coated with a layer of stain. Toilet is not clean and room is sandy.
There is a renovation going on in front of the restaurant. Not informed. Will we stay here again, no. Will we recommend others? Absolutely no

Stay for 2 nights. My daughter loved the theme pool and beach. We enjoyed the fish and chips in the restaurant. Overall, good service.
The room was ok. Honestly, please book room in lower ground for easier access to pool and if you are coming with elderly/disabled family members as there is no lift. For us, it was not really an issue to be in 2nd floor.

It was during festive season so i could understand the expensive price that we had to pay. However, i couldnt help but felt dissapointed with the overall condition of one of the suite/rooms we had. It was not well maintained. We didnt have enough tissue on the toilet tissue roll, and there was no other tissue box/roll provided in the suite. The bathroom was smelly, the wall was not clean and i really hope they could change the bathroom curtain next time. One of the window in the living room had no curtain. I'm not sure if it's the hotel design to have only the sliding door curtained on but if it's true then i really dont like it. We couldnt lock the sliding door because the lock was broken. Due to that, we had to keep eyes on the young kids all the time for fear that they might go to the balcony. Oh not only the sliding door, even the security chain for the entrance door was broken! The staircase to the room had bad smell and maybe next time the cleaning team should pay attention to the area outside room as well. Our rooms were in the building with no elevator. Hence i suggest those with small kids and elders to consider this factor. The breakfast was average and not worth the price.
However, the plus points of this resort were the pools and the walking distance beach. Our kids enjoyed playing at the pools so much that they requested to come here again next time. Well, if time permits we probably will come again and try the new area called La Villa.

We stayed for two nights at La Villa by Holiday Villa Cherating. We were in one of the units named Terengganu. The room and the surrounding were more to Balinise concept and it even comes with its own private pool. It was very convenient for our kids especially during this pandemic which was a NO to use the swimming pool. The staffs are friendly and the food are worth for the price we paid for. Shouldn`t miss the beach... It was very clean and well maintained. Will definetly will come again.

Holiday Villa Hotels always have a suitable rooms/suite/villa to accommodate us as a family travelling with younger children. We had a fantastic 2 nights stay in Antara Villa. It is the only beach front , 2 bedrooms villa with a spectacular ocean view and situated just beside the brand new infinity swimming pool. The new swimming pool comes with 2 slides which the kids enjoyed so much. We was served with welcoming drinks and snacks just after checked in. The villa was spacious with pantry, dining and living hall with its own water pump. All taps worked well and comes with hot water even at the pantry, it makes cleaning baby’s utensils easier. The pillows and bed were very comfortable. You have to climb stairs to go up to the villa hence it might be a little bit harder for elderly or special needed persons. Nevertheless , the staff was very helpful to carry all your belongings to the door-front. The beach was very clean. Even though there was another event during our stay, the resort area was not crowded at all. We were lucky enough to see fireshow and fireworks during our stay. It was during National Independence Day. The breakfast was delicious focusing on local tradisional cuisine such as nasi kerabu and nasi dagang. All the staffs were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Ms Yana and Mr. Anas for their thoughtfullness and excellent hospitality during our stay. We wish that everyone who will be staying here in the future to have a wonderful stay like us.

I've spent a night here with my family. The villa was so nice, has enough space for everyone to sleep and to the private pool was clean and enjoyable. The location is good, near to lots of seafood restaurants and to the beach and each villa has one reserved parking lot . Front office team greeted upon arrival with a big smile and the manager escorted to hotel room to ensure well brief on the product of rooms. Efficient check in experience and well trained team .We received warm welcome drinks in the room after check-in .
However, much to our delight the F&B staff at the restaurant bar were so attentive and accommodating to our needs during the breakfast and lunch. We are so grateful to the warm hospitality the staff provided and we will certainly recommend this resort to all our friends and family! A big thank you especially to Mr. Siva , the hotel's general manager, deserves special recognition for his great leadership to ensuring guest are satisfied and walking around the resort during the weekends ! Throughout my stay, the staff was extremely helpful. All staff very friendly and helpful. The room is in good condition. Recently I stayed at Holiday Villa Cherating during Ramadan 1442H in April 2021. The last time I went here was on December 2020. I've been quite impressed with the newly refurbished hotel room, chalets, fun pool, restaurant, facilities, spa etc. They have 2 huge swimming pools. Good for kids. I stayed at the chalet 257. The TV set in the room is a smart Samsung TV with several apps. There's Astro else well in the room. The balcony is facing the swimming pool. Quite a good deal.
I enjoyed the Break Fast Dinner during Ramadan at the restaurant. The price stated was RM55 per adult, RM25 per child. The food was sumptuous and delicious. Love the grilled lamb, black pepper sauce, sago gula melaka, kari ikan tongkol etc.
I also enjoyed relaxing in the spa very much. Amazing that the spa packages prices are as low as RM100 in such beach resort! The spa therapists are professional and skillful.
Definitely will come again.

Staying in one of the garden villa with wife and kids, which reminds of the old kampung style village by the beach. the kids really enjoy themselves playing in the pool. the food are nice and also easy to find food if going outside the resort. The beach is clean and we can enjoy walking along the beach whereby it can reach to the old Cherating Village. The staff here very helpful

Room is cosy, water pressure is good at second floor, has very good swimming pool. Service was good and maintenance department act effectively to fix the hair dryer. Some cons: → Room's door has a big crack. Basically people can see what happened in the room if intended to. Feel very insecure. → Sand flies or sand bug problem is very serious. There is a warning signboard at the beach to earn guess about sandflies and jellyfish. Never thought it could be so serious that my whole hand and legs were bitten badly even I'd just stay at beach side for only few minutes. → breakfast taste so average and need improvement.
I would say the price paid is a bit high with the current facilities.

We were staying at Garden Villa for RM340 per night with tax for weekend rate. RM100 in cash for room deposit. There's no towels, toilet tissue and floor mat provided during check in. We had to call them 3 times before they finally send it to us. There's no hot water as well and the towel smells pretty bad.
Good thing is the private beach was near & clean. It's just about 300 meters from our room. 5km to Fireflies Jetty and 8km to Turtle Sanctuary. There's Spa offers 3 different packages with RM100 for 60 minutes. Overall it is a good place to relax during the weekends.
