Arrival experience we shall say average because most of the service staff at lobby and reception are student practicals from empire college, our arabian bay concept resort expectations not there , room clean , huge bathroom , dusty balcony seems they just release the block for sell . Safari park and atv was great experience with superb hospitality extended to us and During our stay there was big events happening, good place and recommended to stay for family , overall stay experience we rates as 4 out of 5.will come back ...

The Bukit Gambang Resort City has at least two hotel zones-this review is on the Arabian Bay Resort alone and not the other hotel zone . The name is a misnomer:
- there's no bay in sight (maybe there was a sick bay)
- where were the Arabic themes ? maybe the plastic date palms and a mock up of a resting camel at the entrance to the lobby was the Arabian elements..
Rooms look aged and quite ordinary. Cleanliness of room floor where we stayed needed some tender loving care-a thick layer of dust was visible. Towels provided need new replacements as from the colour and texture, it was obvious they had served their time
We guess the housekeeping of the hotel suffered due to the vast number of rooms and maybe, just maybe a lack of housekeepingstaff and/or training

Most people would stay at this resort city with the main aim of experiencing the water theme park. Problem is you need to board a shuttle bus to visit the park and the safari park too, due to the distance of these places. The hotel was not designed to allow guests to have a direct look at the theme park-big mistake here.
The rooms and service standards I would rate maximum two stars, and so was the food.

Thanks to Agoda, I've stayed at both Carribean Bay and Arabian Bay so called resort. I was supposed to stay for 2 nights at the Carribean Bay but due to some issues, I will share on those issue during my review for Carribean Bay. For a start, I won't call it a resort. It's more like non-luxury studio apartment kinda style. In terms of the furniture and fittings, it was better than Carribean (shower screen, flooring, wardrobe, etc.) But in terms of the size, the room & balcony, are smaller compared to the Carribean (no dining table, kitchenette). As this is a business trip, I didn't manage to try both breakfast as I have to rush in the morning... too bad. And guess what I didn't manage to go to the waterpark as well. Hence I am unable to give a comprehensive review on this so called resort. In summary, if you just need a place to sleep, this could be it. But if you want more than that, just go to Kuantan, Cherating or any othere places.

I visit with my family and we took 2 rooms. 1 family Suite and 1 studio suite.

The check-in was swift and the front desk was friendly. When I 1st entered the Family suite in Block 3, I was relatively happy with the space and the rooms; until I saw stains on the cushions, small 30 inch TV in each room (non in living room) and the little leakage from the bathroom ceiling of the main bedroom.

When my other family when to their Studio room at Block 1, the room was lock from the inside. So puzzling! Was the room occupied? Even the staff who came to attend to the matter was puzzled. They just gave them another room without explanation.

If you’re looking for chinese food, the Oriental Oasis is NOT the place you’re looking for. The servers couldn’t understand simple requests. The food were salty and not really chinese style.

The buffet breakfast and dinner were acceptable. If you’re looking for outside food, good food are said to be 30km away into the Kuantan town.

Overall: Still a nice place for short family getaway because of the Safari and waterpark. Just be prepared with more food for kids particularly and the expectation should be set lowered.

Went to The Arabian Bay Resort with 30+ family members. Checked in as a group and was fairly swift. Checked in at about 6pm and all rooms were ready. Bear in mind that we took up about 16 rooms and not the only group that was there and the hotel was running full.

The 2 bedroom suites are fairly huge and all comes with balconies. The bedrooms are not of equal size, similarly with the 2 attached bathroom. Assuming 1 is a master bedroom. Beds were comfortable, however only 3 pillows were given in each bedroom. Would have been great if 4 were provided without the need to request.

Bathroom were of adequate size and the amenities were sufficient. Do note, toothbrush, toothpaste and comb are not provided. Did not request for it as we brought our own.

Minibar was empty and not switched on. So it took a while for it to cool. Adequate to put it your own stuff in there.

Air-con is only in the bedrooms and there is a ceiling fan in the living room. A 29-inch TV is in both bedroom only. A bit too small and the speakers were not clear.

Breakfast was lacking in variety but the quality was above average. The breakfast area was big and the service was always on hand to clear plates and glasses. Awesome team.

The hotel offers in-room dining but limited hours. They have a night market every weekend near the entrance that offers local delicacies and bargain sales.

Complimentary WiFi that was offered was almost non-existent. Was told by the Front desk staff that the signal is strong if you are in either the living room or in the hotel lobby. Both we've tried but still not available.

Overall, the place is above expectation and the staffs at Front Desk, housekeeping and the breakfast room was awesome. Very warm and sincere.

Stayed as a couple last week. Exterior of hotel looked impressive. Reception staff were pleasant. When i requested for a room on a higher floor, they said it's not possible. Hotel was rather empty though, as it was non peak season. Room was very basic. There was dirt all over the floor when we entered. Called housekeeping, they cleaned it immediately & were very apologetic. Breakfast was average, could improve on food taste & quality. We enjoyed the safari park, the Wild Savannah was a good experience! Got to see the wildlife up close. Worth the visit..

1. Book hotel tru booking.com, for 26/1/20 for one night. Check in early at 5am and was told to pay extra rm374 for that on top of what i already paid ....ridiculous. No choice i pay cause i got family with me...that mean i pay 2 nights price for the price of one.

2. Says 1 tv on each rooms....but only one room has and the other dont have.

2. Kitchen pantry was broken...water leak out of the basin n flooded the pantry...i clean it up..and it cant be use at all during my stay.

3. Wifi dont exist for the rest of my stay, although the say wifi is free.

4. Corridor has only one light working...and my unit is at end of it...by the way my room number is 1720. Go check it, which i believe nobody cares.

5. Breakfast was rm28 for one person...noting much to eat...and the food is lousy...the roadside stall have better taste then this...try to eat bread but the toaster is not working...

6. Waterpark smell of chlorine and is cloudy...my skin got itchy after 15 minutes in it. Get out and take shower with fresh water.

7. Dont bother about the safari, the animals are not fed regularly, they are all look pathetic. Pity the animals there...they may have a better life outside where they belong. Especialy the bears.

8. By the way i have been here 5 times in 2 years, evrytime for 3days 2nights...but this time i check out around 2am that very same day...

Waiting for an hour to get our rooms but yet still not our turn to get to the reception desk.

Staffs are terribly not trained and do not know what to do. I saw a group of elderly customers adjourned to the clinics.

First you queue more than an hour to check in. THEN you have to QUEUE AGAIN to get your keys

Unless you can spare 3-4 hours just to check in, please forget about this place

Room near the lift but facing the jungle, good view for green. Very quiet as we join during weekdays. Enjoy the whole swimming pool on our own. Pool of sands are great for children. Plants need maintenance for good view.

Reading from other commentators, I choose Arabian over Caribbean for my Gambang stay, which cost a bit extra.

Here's my conclusion:-

- Facilities for disables, YES ~ Email/Inform them of your needs, disables, old folks etc. Those that needs easier access early on so they could arrange rooms that are easier to reach the lobby & cafe area.

- Wheelchair on loan for FOC - YES, but not in good conditions. Usually they only have few and those are also not in Good Conditions, for instance I requested 1 early on via email, well I got one with no leg rest. The better ones are available at the Theme Park with RM 50 deposit. I made shift the luggage belt to be the foot rest, but I use it only for the cafe trips. For the safari, I loan the one there, which is much suitable as they have got breaks.

- Food at cafe, firstly there are flies around, might be the weather, but its not a nice looks. Breakfast buffet were simple, mostly the same for the 2 days I had been here. Mostly Malay food, it might be cater to the large segment of malay guest there for a seminar. Ala-Ca-rte were totally different taste, taste better. Pizza were absolutely wonderful. It would be great if they had them in the theme park.

- Free WIFI - YES; its the same with the lobby, guest wifi is slow when everyone is hooked to it. Got full bandwidth during 4 am in the morning to browse news portal and youtube flawless.

- No Room Service, probably coz of understaff. Even the staff in the cafe works daily, might be the holiday period, but its was quite a long shift for them.

- Parking - Ample for shoulder season. Its on a steep hill, thus make sure your vehicle is possible to climb, else you gonna go for a long walk.

- Pool, nice with sand play area and have Guard on duty. Divided into kids and adult pool, kid's is bought 1 feet deep while adult's pool is about 4 feet deep. Divided in between with Stainless Steel barrier, seem safe.

- Safety, they have Polis Bantuan - which are real Police Officer at the entrance Booth, it actually looks more like a road block check during in and out, which feels much safer than normal security guards.

Food Nearby - Gambang town is nearby UMP - Universiti Malaysia Pahang and some Kolej Matrikulasi, thus making food easy to be found. Mostly I just saw Malay & Chinese Food within Gambang town 5 KM away from the resort, there are some restaurant opposite the entrance of the resort with a 7-11 at the shoplots there, but walking is not possible as u need to passby a large drain to enter.
For Chinese food, choices for lunch is abundance, after the saw mill (from resort towards town) you will get some seafood restaurant, porridge, and noodles shop. After the police station towards the traffic light junction there will be a temple - Sam Seng Temple, and they have a small hawker center there that also sell Pau.
For Dinner at Gambang town, there is no restaurant after the police station. I went to the one opposite BHP. Do understand that they dont usually stock much food, so go early.
