Strategically located with all the basics and the tourist attractions. Love my quaint, little room. Very clean and comfy. Amazing and helpful staff. Highly recommended especially for short jaunts to Ipoh.

A very small hotel with very clean bathroom( Super important), limited tv channels but that’s alright, functioning AC and clean sheets.
Literally a stone throw away from all the day and night eateries.

Booked their family deluxe room.
Rate value for $.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Amenities very basic.

Just minor improvement:
would be nice to have a few entertaining channels
Towels does not absorb water after shower
Vacuum and mopping of the room floor would make the room less dusty.

Positives- location was amazing, good value for money, toiletries where provided in the bathroom.

Negatives- the WiFi was poor as you could not access the internet, only worked with the Facebook and Instagram app. The room was not cleaned throughout our 4 nights stay. There was only one plug socket in the room.

I was there with a friend for 3 nights. It was walking distance to the old town and attractions like museums, upside down house, concubine lane etc. We were on the 2nd floor with windows but very noisy with traffic around as well as the every hour clock chimes from the nearby clock tower throughout the night. On the 2nd and 3rd night, the alarm from the clinic few doors down was ringing nonstop throughout the night to add on to the already noisy night. The owner said he had made a complain though. Anyway, we had the family room and it was big enough and clean. People who are light sleepers should not stay in this hotel.

Booked this hotel on Expedia but on arrival hotel says my booking not received and charged me a higher rate. Also charged me a deposit (cash only).

Room is just nice for an overnight stay if you are not looking for much. Very little space to move around but good enough for backpackers.

Bathroom shower is rain shower type and water overflows all over the bathroom.
Hotel looks new but could be cleaner as it felt dusty in my room.

Wifi is terrible. Location is good as you are walking distance to amazing hawker fare and cafes in the morning. Place is quiet as a mouse at night. Yeah, and the wifi is not helping...

It is strategically located between new and old town of Ipoh (where good food venues are plentiful - and I am not referring those places meant for "tourist" class of visitors), near Little India (for those who love Indian food) and the local bus terminal which connect Ipoh to its environs as well as other Perak towns to its north like Taiping, K Kangsar, both within 2 hours journey. But that only one advantage for those who intend to use the hotel as a stepping stone for day trips to explore Perak.

The hotel is quite new at the time of this review (less than a month old). Therefore the place is well maintained, worth staying quickly if you are visiting Ipoh. This is one problem for Malaysian hotels, good while it is new but whether still good after a year or two will depend on the management's ability and willingness to invest in housekeeping matters.

One draw back of this hotel is the use of solar power to heat up the bath rooms. The problem is that when you are back in the evening, or want to bath in the early morning, you are likely to encounter cold water or even no water. That is not so good an experience for me and I hope the management can take my feedback serious to adopt a dual system and ensure hot water supply is available all year (day) round. Indeed that is what I told the counter staff that I will only return if the hotel is able to provide hot water for the bath rooms.

The hotel is near a mosque and Ipoh's historic clock tower. For those who are light sleepers, this could be an issue - early morning prayer calls is expected around 6am. But it is perfect for me, especially the period clock music.

Very hip/artsy take on a simple, but nice budget hotel concept. Very small but clean rooms, brick/cement, but good air con and decent sized very modern private bathrooms. Good location very close to the train station, and a very quick walk to the trendy Kong Heng Market building and the Tourist Info centre as well. Staff was helpful, and english speaking. Spend some time in Ipoh, it is a great place.

Took the family room on the 1st Floor. It comes with 2 queen sized beds. Room was clean and tidy but it was noisy as the room faces the traffic. It may be a better idea to stay in a room higher up or towards the back portion. There is also no desk to work on.

Visited this hotel during my visit to my in law. Was really amazed by its ID. The raw minimalist industrial design is really one of its kind and make me remember a hotel I stayed in Frankfurt.
Very near to all the restaurant and tourist attractions we wanted to visit. Selfie with all my kids with the murals.
Met the owner. She is pretty and very friendly. Offer to give a lift to the nearby train station. But we rather walk as it's only 5 mins walking distance.
We will come back again for this hotel if we visit this lovely town again.
