Every single staff that we came across was very service-oriented and tried their best. On the 1st day, they can only accomodate us in a room facing the street (which can get noisy at night). But to the staff's credit, before we check in, they already informed us that the room was not going to be that quiet but the next day, they moved us to a quiet room when one became available,. Very honest in their dealing. Clean room, nice water pressure. The location was very convenient.

D Eastern After my 2nd stay, I am a loyal customer of D Eastern Hotel. Staff is pro-active and gladly offer solutions. Ie. ❇️They offered to store our drinks in the staff pantry fridge as the rooms don't have one ❇️They offered to show us the rooms before checking in when we were apprehensive about it facing the high traffic main road. ❇️ Request for a spare pillow and newspapers were delivered promptly. Rooms are big, with beds and an open sitting area.... Likely because it is an old building nicely redecorated. Lifts available. Good water pressure and air conditioning. Covered carpark provided. Located in the heart of Ipoh city. The best parts... Good lighting! And so many power sockets eveywhere; dressing table, one on each bedside, coffee-making/kettle area. There is no fridge and safe in the rooms.

The hotel was pleasant neat and tidy. The hotel was quiet and I had a good sleep as well. Good wifi connection as I had to get some work done at late nights. The staff was friendly and very helpful to cater my family’s needs.

The hotel is centrally located and you can easily walk to the old and new sections of town.I would guess within a 10 minute walk you have hundreds of unique dining options. The hotel staff were very helpful and always very pleasant to interact with.

Located at a busy junction. Traffic noise is terrible. Even past midnight you can hear bikes and cars. Thin floors. Couldn't sleep as kids on floor above were running around past midnight. Will not go back. Many other better options in Ipoh.

Value for money and the room was spacious. The hotel location was in-between 0.5 km to old town and new town. Suitable for adult or teenager. For those will couple with baby, the location may not be so suitable.

The hotel offers good value near the old town, walking distance to the station. It's not new but it's clean and everything worked in the room although the wifi went off for half a day awaiting a technician, otherwise wifi is very good. I liked especially the spacious room. The back side was quiet away from the road as was the hotel due to good noise-dampening which sadly most modern hotels lack. Water bottles, coffee and toiletries replenished.

The location is very good, the staff friendly and most importantly the room is clean and quiet. I visited during the weekdays but I'm not sure if the weekend is the same. They do not serve breakfast but in Ipoh that's not a problem.
