Walked around town before deciding where to stay, and while the decor of d eastern is perhaps not as modern or visually appealing compared to the other hotels in the vicinity, the thing that stood out most and would make me consider coming back if ever I'm in ipoh is the hospitality of the staff - who went out of...

Very close to shops and to old town, walking distance from most attractions but i suggest to bring earplugs because it is situated next to a pet store with noisy animals and also a busy main road. Other than that, the breakfast is good but only on weekends. The room is comfortable and clean. However the WiFi can be weak...

We (my 2 teenage daughters and I) stayed here for 2 nights on 21 & 22 Dec 2014. We chose this based on location (proximity to the street murals), free parking on site. the price (just somewhere to crash after a day of sightseeing) and previous reviews. We were not disappointed and it even exceeded our expectation from a budget...

OK. Could do with a fridge in the (very spacious) room as there are no breakfast facilities on site (cafe seems permanently closed?) or nearby. Don't try walking from the station with a heavy backpack, it's really too far. Plenty of restaurants withing walking distance, but vegetarians will struggle as there's chicken or chicken stock in almost everything - seems...

D'Eastern Hotel can be a good choice if you are looking for a conveniently located hotel in the heart of Ipoh city. D'Eastern is located walking distance to many popular Ipoh eateries. Unlike many city hotels, car park was not an issue as parking lots were available free. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, like many hotels in the city,...

The rooms are very basic.no fridge n so..dark n if curtains are drawn , there is no privacy. The house keeping need to improve as it looks abit unkept or rushed to clean. Grumbled bedsheets gives awkward feelings; making the neatness worst Had shower cream n shampoo but no toothbrush

The room was quite large but a little bit dark (wooden walls). The bathroom was quite big with a large shower. The staff was very helpful as they arranged us a taxi tour visiting temples around the city and making us saving time and money respect to the suggested tours from guidebooks (lonely planet). The position was strategic as it...

The hotel is at the corner of two main busy roads - Jalan Onn Jaafar and Jalan Sultan Idris Shah. It is only 3 storeys high and there is "old school" lift operating and connecting all floors. We stayed in two rooms, opposite one another. A double and a triple room. My parents got the one facing the hotel's car...
