Service was on downward trend on 19 n 20. This visit shows that it has picked up again top notch. Clean comfortable, fast check in. Good service. Car park moved 5 m further away. This carpark has no security guard like the previous one. New main door card control. On Sunday morning, Memory Ipoh, flea Market is just beside the hotel. Had breakfast but it is mediocre.

Second time staying in French Hotel, Ipoh. Hotel is 10 years old now, but the room is still maintained relatively well, still the clean room with hot shower that I expected. No issue parking for us, car park is 50m away, just need to get parking coupon from reception. Location of the hotel is good, with many eating places within walking distance.

The person pick up call is very rude name Aisyah. Just to ask the room type and the location to certain area. She don’t even listen to customer question and keep rejecting people. Please! Send this staff back to training again Customer service is very important base to basic- polite and be professional Don’t argue with client Because we are not local ipoh-rean We know nothing Please be patient If you are not patient and reluctant to answer customer enquirer please work at backroom or position which don’t need to meet or serve customer You are represent French Hotel Don’t because if your bad service spoil the brand name of French hotel

My first stay at the French Hotel back in 2013 was an exceptionally positive experience, and as a returning guest, I must say that I am impressed by how well they have maintained their good standards. Even after 7 years, the hotel looks just as good and the room was spotlessly clean and fresh. Not to mention their high quality of service and also good COVID-19 preventive measures. There was one slight downside though - noise from outside the room was quite loud this time round. I don't remember noise and voices being so audible in my last trip. But all in all, I had no regrets choosing them again for my family getaway and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Checked in and was greeted by a friendly chap allowing us to park our car at the entrance while we unload our luggage. From the outside the hotel did not seem much but once you are in, you will see that its well thought of and the rooms well appointed. Comfy beds and excellent shower. Perfect location if you are a food explorer.

I had to go to Ipoh during CMO as there was a family emergency. We booked into French and was pleasantly pleased with the service offered. The front desk staff, Encik Amirul displayed excellent responsibility in going through the SOP for COVID-19 prevention. The room was very very clean and quiet. I needed some items and Encik Amirul arranged to send it to our room immediately. The other staffs were also very vigilant in carrying out the SOP to safe guard all guests in this hotel.

I booked two rooms, one for hubby and I and the other were for our American friends as we wanted them to enjoy Ipoh's famous foods. We were assigned NON-SMOKING ROOMS and the Management sure knew how to maintain this place. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and have adequate amenities like shampoo, soaps, shower gel and good towels. Our cleaner Seba did her job well and I could not find anything wrong in our room. It was literally spotless! The only niggling little unpleasantry was the use of wifi on two devices only... I was not able to use my laptop until I log out from one and this was cumbersome!

We had a room WITH windows (some don't have). It was a really really confortable and clean room. The hotel location is top as Ipoh is a small town, you can do everything by foot. The personnel was great ! Thank you Ipoh Hôtel !

I actually booked directly with the hotel and this was a cause for confusion with the hotel. They dont automatically confirm the appointment and when I emailed them for confirmation they made another booking. Some of the staffs grasp of English is not that high. Once arrived at the hotel sorted it all out. The room was quite good in are with many restaurants. Room cleaned daily in the morning. WiFi was good. The only thing I would suggest they add is a map showing sites around Ipoh. They have a map of restruants but as a tourist was more interested in site seeing. Would dtay again.

Check in fast, room size quite big, window with side alley (no view). Wifi connection lousy, can't log in yet every time have to key in long username. Ask staff why can't connect, staff say iPhone login very troublesome She thought me the trick but keep disconnected, reconnect need to key in long username again. Give up. Water pot is different type, more like a pot to cook instant noodle. Pillow too soft, can't sleep well. Bed still comfortable. Sunday morning got flee market, very noisy can't sleep. The good point is location good, on check in, staff will give you a print out map for foodie. 5-10 mins walking distance to Chef Fatt dim sum (local favourite).
