Location - Isolated and Excluded from Ipoh Town. Empty shop lots in this area. This is only bad thing about this hotel.

Price - RM200 average per night. Please booking online instead of walk in because walk in price bit higher (RM210 vs RM260 for double bed)

Breakfast - Included in the price. The best thing in this Hotel. Suprised with the menu, not the cheap style Breakfast. Love it

Recommended and will come again.

We booked Ipoh because on our month long tour of Malaysia and Vietnam we had a couple of days to spare. We decided to go to Ipoh for 2 nights a few days after KL. We booked quite quickly off Agoda and after a wine or two...
We arrived in Ipoh a couple of days pre Christmas and phoned our booked hotel 1969 Buisness Suites as we could not get a grab or a taxi. The concergie said they would send someone to collect us. Fabulous..We got in the lovley limo bus with aircon up high and were off. The driver showed us a few local attractions which was very kind and then we headed to the hotel. We seemed to be driving for what I thought wias quite a while. Once we arrived I realised we had booked further out of ipoh city then I thought. I went down and saw Delbha (apologies spelling) who was so helpful and confirmed a little further out. However offered us all the help in the world and the use of the hotel car And driver. I soon realised it was only really 10/15 minutes drive to anything however without the use of the car could have been tricky.
Our room was very clean, a little smaller then I thought but comfortable with great beds and everything you needed. Unfortunately we woke to a burst pipe and water on the floor. We saw Delbha again and he said to go about our day and he would organise a new room. Later in the day I received a text from Delbha saying he had moved us to a new room and when doing so found a envelope of money. This was my son's, very grateful that this was put into the hotel safe. When back from our day we had the wonderful news that we had been upgraded to a suite which was spacious and had a beautiful big spa bath, Just what I needed.
Breakfast was Good, coffee to order was very good. Service throughout 1969 was amazing. Yes it was a little further out then we thought but we would stay again as the service out weighed any distance. Thank you to all the staff at 1969 Suites, it is a great memory of our trip. Will recomend...👏😀☕🚐

Stayed one night and they provided cake buffet hi-tea and breakfast the next day. The cakes were delicious. Our room was on the 2nd floor and our access cards did not work at the main entrance. The friendly staff had to open the door for us and finally they re-programmed our access cards. We were happy we could park our car right in front of the hotel. Our room was comfortable, although it was quite small. And the shower area did not have any shower door and after showering, the entire bathroom floor is all wet! The walls were too thin as we could hear other guests from other rooms. Luckily our room was not so near to the live band but we could still hear the music albeit faintly. Breakfast the next day was simple food, with all the food labels being placed wrongly… not sure why.

This was a 2-night stay with my wife that cost me S$164.24 in total. First let me begin with what's really positive and the only reason that has prevented me from giving it a 1 or 2-star rating for this hotel. On arrival, we were warmly greeted by the staff from the Concierge dept as well as the frontdesk. The checkin process was fast and hassle free. Throughout, the days that we were there we were consistently greeted, or assistance offered by the different staff. Kudos to all the staff there! Location wise, nothing terribly negative but nothing to yell about either. Don't expect any nice cafe or restaurants within walking distance. Now, my sore point. The room was terribly terribly SMALL! As my wife and I had between us 2 fair large luggage, there was hardly any walking space left in the room. The toilet....my first time see a toilet and show room squeeze into a very tiny area. As you shower yourself, the toilet bowl is being showered as well and the toilet roll holder is within the reach of the shower head too! As I was not fully paying attention to these details, after my first shower, the toilet roll was completely drenched...unusable! The concept of combining the toilet and shower may not be new but it's certainly not within such a small area!! How can the designer even suggest such a design to the hotel owner. Ridiculous! Clearly, the owners of this hotel have not given any thought of their customers who are the main users of these facilities.

To conclude, I will NEVER consider nor recommend staying in this hotel again. For S$162 (2 nights) I can certainly find much MUCH nicer/spacious hotels like Travelodge or Sojourn Guesthouse to stay within Ipoh city.

No complains about duplex rooms except lack of lighting and leakage (1113), though they changed the room (to 1112) because first one was leaking .

My complaint was the breakfast- one word for it - horrible !
It’s like a cattle class service - no choice of eggs and milk even if there are kids , no breads ,had to request for the same and got only 2 slices after the staff clearly showed their displeasure! The tea was tasteless . The stuff are not replenished unless I had go and ask the staff. All in all not fit for 3 star hotel .

Drop by for breakfast (walk-in and paid) on Saturday morning of 7th October 2023, after reading all the previous "good" reviews.

Decided to check the food items at Buffet lines, a few trays are empty and the waiter informed it will be top-up and we decided to give it a try ..

But unfortunately, it was a wrong decision after we realized the Beriani rice served was not accompanied by a proper dish and can you imagine eating Beriani rice without Dhal gravy or any chicken curry but instead it was just served with crispy popcorn chicken? Is this a joke? How on earth can the Chef cook that kind of dish to accompany Beriani rice ??

The porridge was too watery, the koayteow condiments were totally tasteless, dumplings were not soft and easily hardened after a few minutes.

Indeed food taste is subjective between one individual and another individual BUT in our experience, it was totally a disaster and we extremely regret having our breakfast there!

One more important point to seriously look into, will be the food item being served .. as we are all Malaysians, why can't the choice of food be diversified further by serving nasi lemak, mee goreng, friend meehon, curry mee, roti canai or other races dish and not only focusing on Chinese food types?
I am not being racist here, but the food served is NOT Malaysian enough.

The Management apologized to me via text, but the damage is done and it's irreversible.

It is our first and last to patronize the Cafe at Ipoh Garden branch and trust me, words of mouth about this unpleasant experience will definitely shared with our friends, families, and all our network whether in this region and beyond.

Excellent customer service. All the staffs are so friendly and helpful.

Room is clean. And they even on the air con prior to our arrival. So that it cold when we entered our room.

Ample of parking place outside the hotel.

This hotel is out of town. It near to the exit of highway. To me, I prefer out of town area to avoid crowd and jam. On the last day, we jus checked out from the hotel and hit the highway.

There was a live band downstair which can be heard from our room. We are fine with it because it not those with loud music. It just a girl or guy singing solo, slow oldies songs. But if you have a baby, you may want to ask for a more quiet room. The live band ends around midnight.

Limited choice of food for breakfast but the complimentary tea time is good.

The only complaint is the hot water. The hot water tank is shared among all the occupants in that building. Though we have a bath tub, the hot water is not sufficient to fill up the entire tub. End up we have to soak in cold water and bath in cold water. The hotel should do something about this.

We booked for 2 duplex room for business suites... The hotel room that we stays were very beautiful, unique, comfortable and clean.
We had a buffet breakfast at their another restaurant, Cawanmu. The food tasted good but the portion is inadequate . Breakfast starts at 7:30am to 1030am, imagine at 9am the food only left very few, and it takes forever for them to refill.
When you ask, they will keep on saying please wait for a while..... When they refill, the portion only for 1-2 persons...

The staff are all friendly and welcoming. The room is clean with good amenities. The usb plug caught me by surprise. Just look at the bathroom tiles and the glass lift.. Screams luxury. And all at an affordable price.

I have my own transport, parking was an ease. There's a numbers of chinese restaurants around and malays eatery.

went here on early Feb 2023. I thought it was just a normal shop lot/budget hotel. However when i step in the lobby, i got shock with the interior & ambience, feels like in a 4 star hotel. The housekeeping staff name Hidayah really did a great job for do some room tour with us. she show us a few room type and explained every details & facilites in the hotel. the reception (Indian guy, cant remember his name) was very polite & helpful upon check in. This hotel has a live band every evening, free parking area for guest (but have to walk a bit), a nice and cozy restaurant & a small gym. the bed & pillow was so cozy, it has aircond & fan too! They provided USB charger as well in the room. The shower room was spacious and very clean. i would love to recomended this hotel to all if you all want to have a trip at IPOH!
