What I like about the hotel, it is decent and clean, car park spaces were ample.

What I do not like:
1. For the price we paid for a room, there should be a safety box made available in the room.
2. The bathroom is partitioned with frosted glass. It is weird to sleep next to it because you can actually see the "frosted" person seated on the toilet bowl next to you.
3. The shower was not provided with a shower curtain, which made the entire bathroom wet.
4. There was a very loud cranking noise outside our room that came on and off, and on and off over the night, making it so hard to go into a deep sleep.

Enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Away from the busy town yet near most amenities. We took a family room (4 people) and it was so spacious and comfortable! Hotel personnels are friendly and helpful (loan us an umbrella when it was raining). Will certainly stay here again.

It is right behind Impiana Hotel , Ipoh with the black ECOTEL signboard directing you. Good if you have your own transport and ample parkings, basement covered car parks and above open car park near ecotel lobby.
We have a very good rest as the hotel is extremely quiet, suits me, partly we were there during non peak. Strong supply of warm water for you to freshen up, rain showered, no bathtub . Firm beds. The rooms are suitable for couple as nowadays, hotels use glass partition for the bathroom to have a 'modern clean room'. It a shadow can't see clearly. The staff are friendly but the hotel policy is to pay rm50 deposit even though you have fully settled the room by credit card. Checkin and out is straightforward .
It is not far from town if you know Ipoh well. To get to Ipoh town, use the 'parallel front road' of Impiana Hotel to the next UMNO building or like going to the Chinese restaurant , Royal China of the Tai Thong group, end of the road, go to the main road to make a U-turn , drive to the 'fountain roundabout' keep left and you are already at Jln Sultan Iskandar heading into Ipoh town.
We saved on hotel charges and have a good shopping and eating trip in Ipoh . The hotel can call taxi for you and if you are in a group of 4 , it is saving.
Only negative is: The hotel staff must vacuum below the beds and a supervisor must check the rooms. I happened to touch the room telephone and it was sticky and oily. No pests nor bugs. If I am in Ipoh I will definitely stay in ECOTEL.

I stayed at this hotel with my son 5 months ago.
I'm stolen my PDP. It happened during our absence.
I explained my situation and asked hotel reports staffs. They called hotel manager.
He/She had not arrived hotel untillI I'was leaving. Instead he/she promised me send the hotel reports by e-mail. But, I have not received the mail and reports untill now.

I think the hotel is not to be trusted.

Ecotel is worth the money. I stayed in the standard king room (RM108 per night) for 4D/3N. Beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is very convenient which covered with not fully frosted glass walls. There is no breakfast at the hotel. Ecotel required RM50 refundable deposit per room during check-in. I would fully recommend this hotel in Ipoh for those who have their own transport and prioritize comfort and cleanliness.

Booked this hotel for a quick night stay as the price is very affordable. The location is not too far from the town area, and quiet as the whole area is relatively new and not too many shops/people around. Secluded location behind Ipoh times square and beside impiana hotel.

Check in was quick and simple, and take note that the hotel requires you to pay RM50.00 as a security deposit and will be refunded upon check out. We were given a room at the lower floor (without window). Just for your information, there is no elevator in this hotel and not disabled friendly.

Upon entering the room, the lighting was quite dim, and I find the room to be in quite bad condition. Wear and tear is very apparent, paint chipping out from the walls, cracked floor, toilets have stain all over the sink/walls, even the towels are quite torn. Air conditioning works well and cold, but very noisy. TV channels are basic with a few Astro/Satellite channels. Water pressure in the toilet is good. There are no hair dryers in the room, however the reception will have a few that you can borrow. Beds and pillow is comfortable. Wifi reception and internet speed is good.

All in all, the short stay was okay. Upkeep of the rooms and the lighting/ambience however, has to be improved.

Stayed here for a night. Loved the location. Away from the hustle bustle yet only 5 minutes drive to the city. So quiet although the Shopping Malls, famous bean sprout chicken and other eateries are all within 10 minutes drive away.
The room is as per advertised. Modern and simply furnished, comfortable and cosy. No frills but comes with a coffee making facilities and two bottles of water. Room and bathroom of reasonable size - no feeling of being claustrophobic!! Very clean. Ample parking. Our room could not access to the Internet although it is free wifi.
This is actually located in Ipoh Times Square still relatively new I believe. The block of building is yet to be fully occupied except for this Hotel which is located away from the main road about 100m at the back. It is however well lit. There are a few Chinese Restaurants around. This area is just adjacent to Hotel Impiana. Just 50m from the main road and 50 m before the Hotel, there is a quaint Kopitiam the Chang Jiang White Coffee cafe on the left. It is located in a converted old single storey bungalow with a huge compound for parking. Serves great wontan Mee and white coffee. A good breakfast choice if one is thinking of noodles!!
