One of the few decent places left to book for the peak Chinese New Year period in Ipoh, realized that I stayed here before many years ago. Because of the high occupancy, there were insufficient car park in front of the hotel and we had to park outside the hotel compound along the road.

Before our stay, the hotel emailed to inform that their water heating system was undergoing maintenance and there would be no hot water during our stay. Great timing… at least they did offer to accept cancellation or change of date. As the weather was rather hot, we did manage to survive with cold showers.

The hotel seemed well-maintained, except the corridors - those do need some brush up. The room was spacious, despite having an extra bed. Room was basic and no frills, but they do have daily housekeeping which is good, unlike some hotels that used the pandemic as a reason for not providing the same.

Centrally located in downtown Ipoh, pretty much everywhere in town is just a short drive away. However, there are not much in terms of convenience store or eateries in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, so you’ll need transport or brave enough for a long-ish walk.

Considering the peak season, this was still an acceptable stay.

Popular boutique hotel for tourists and Chinese New Year visitors from afar. Some distance (16km) from Meru Coach terminal and not within walking distance of most eateries/foodcourts. Quiet surroundings offer a good night's sleep. Internet is inconsistent with off-on status. Basic coffee/tea and toilet amenities provided. Ironing set with board available on request. No safe available for valuables but fridge is there.

The Room is not that big but enough for 2 people. The twin Bed is a bit small and not that comfortable. Parking needs to be improved because if you come back after 10 pm, don’t expect to get parking as you have to park outside the hotel premises. Since there’s only one lift, so have to a bit going up n coming down.

Environment is okay as it near the town center where local food such as Low Wong chicken rice n Tuck Kee Hokkien Noodles n sweet n sour octopuses are found. Guests can go nearby shops near Tuck Kee to buy local Ipoh biscuits, kaya puffs or peanut brittle. Guests can request for rooms facing the back if do not want noise from the nearby main road.

Price of room per night is reasonable n air conditioning is good but the dim lighting in the room needs to be improved .

For those on a budget, can try this hotel.

Room was clean and tidy, bathroom was a little small, with shower curtain separating it and toilet and sink. Sufficient parking, and customer service contactable through whatsapp, making it easier to communicate. Already booked another date to go back with family.

The rooms are all nice and clean. Been there while organized a trip with school. The customer service there is good, constantly contact us to confirm our arrival information. nice tall building and provides a big parking space! The only bad thing could be the breakfast, limited choice to consume. Have your breakfast at the town if you mind.

This is our second time staying here. Book two rooms much more earlier, requested side by side room with one king and one twin. When check in , everything is mess up with no king room available anymore and both rooms are at different levels. Such a disappointed stay. Will never return again.

Book for a night with a couple of friends and family without realising it was a Public Holiday. Turnout out the entire place was fully booked and we had to settle for twin beds so we couldn't really complain. It it pretty close to the heart of the city where most of the good food are so location is good. I supposed the hotel is quite new so everything looks very clean. But the setup is very simple and the price is very reasonable so I personally wouldn't expect much more. This is more for those who wish to have a peaceful night stay without the need to enjoy the hotel amenities and facilities.
They do provide breakfast but I opted to scout around Ipoh since they are so famous for food.

The hotel is very near to Ipoh old town. Room was clean, comes with amenities. Stayed at 501, room at corner facing Ipoh old town. Great view. There are no bathtub in superior room, but the shower pressure is good. Staff is polite and greets u every time. Parking is in open air, limited parking space but the guard will take good care of you. Bring and safe. Breakfast is okay , comes with limited local food but as I said, value for the price

We didn't want much more than a clean, bright room with wifi for our to nights/one day stay beige heading for some luxury at Banjaran Springs, and Seemsoon was just the job. The service was exceptional; the manager went to the bus station for us and bought tickets to Kuantan next week with his own money which we would pay back later. The hotel was full but the service still managed to be charming. You'll need a cab to get to the centre, but at 10 ringgit (£2), it's not a big deal.
