Brick foam pillows are most uncomfortable... And no hot water... At rm300 a night it should have hot water! Cute room, creative... Good mattress... But 3in 1 coffee and tea... Really! Not great value, considering you in the middle of ugly town... A little more effort and this place could be fantastic

We stayed in the twin room (palm tree). Absolutely loved the room and furnishing, it's fun and novel and the jungle / kampong theme was really well done. Loved the HUGE wooden tub. The mattresses were nice and soft too. The common area outside was also very well decorated. Some complaints are that there was mosquitoes in the room (and... More

Spent 1 night here with my 6-year old daughter and parents. Turns out there was something for everyone. My 6-year old LOVED that there was a tortoise swimming just outside our room. And she really liked the outdoor shower! I thought the hanging bed was super cool. My parents loved the artsy wooden decor. I have to admit .. The... More

It was with a great surge of anticipation that Bushan and I landed up at this quaint home stay in Ipoh. Located at Pasir Puteh the setting sure looked serene and tranquil from the outside. When we were ushered into our designated room by the ever helpful and always smiling caretaker, Anil we were impressed by the tastefully decorated room.... More

The Happy 8’s concept is a combination of the environmentalism and art which is mainly based on timber art design. All the paintings here are hand painted and based on flora and fauna. This little place has a unique attitude and character that speaks for itself. Every single room has its own unique design namely: The Bamboo, The Palm Tree,... More

My wife and I recently stayed at two of this hotel’s three houses, three nights at the “homestay” in Ipoh and one in Kuala Sepatang. We had booked and pre-paid these before travelling to Malaysia. This review relates to the Ipoh house. To be fair, let me begin with the positive. The Ipoh house is attractive inside and we found... More

This little place has an attitude speak for itself. Every single room has its own unique design. every single piece of furniture is unique. I love this place a lot. I'll be back for sure. Room price are a bit pricey, this is due to the design I guess. The staff there are very helpful and friendly. Even though he... More

Stayed at one of the nicest and 'artiest' boutique hotel in Ipoh. It's got only 5 arty-farty rooms with nature and wood as it's theme. And it's smack right in the middle of a residential area...with a Chinese school just beside. Nevertheless, we didn't feel that all that suburban (albeit the sound of the school bell going off few times!)... More

My family and I had a wonderful "getaway" not too far away from the town. We loved the close to nature concept of the entire homestay. We were welcome by very soothing forest music, cooling atmosphere and jungle-like furnitures and mural once we enter the place. It's a wonderful place for family trip.

Lovely decor and rooms, loved the shower. Breakfast enjoyable, but oh! So hard to find, it's not in central Ipoh and our taxi driver, whom we picked up at the bus depot, drove us around for over half an hour looking for this place, even after phoning for directions and stopping in at two places to see if anyone knew...
