Last year October 2014, i stayed here. This year June 2015, i return to this hotel again and was allocated a room with no hot waters. When i requested to take a shower in another room with hot waters, the boss gladly agreed to it. He advised me i should have told the receptionist that i wanted a room with hot shower as not all have it. Though hot shower was available, the room was big and clean. The free Wifi was good. I will return again.

This guesthouse, family runned, is the less horrible of ipoh at that price rate. We visited many cheap hotels before, even the one saw in lonely planet, there were all horrible rat holes !!! We saw creapy small rooms for 40-50-60 rm !!! Incredible town... And I don't talk about hotel who look like for prostitute...
But this one is ok for backpackers, free filtered water, family staff very nice and welcoming, room not very clean but big, walk with your shoes on it ! We payed 36 rm for fan with bathroom inside. Bed is ok, no mosquito net but there were few one. Also it was very noisy because of a night club on the other side of the street. But this city is very noisy any way...

The room was big and clean.Toilet inside.Everything was perfect till the nightclub close the hotel started playing loud music.Earplugs needed!!
The recepcionist could speak english and he recommeded us a local place to have dinner.It was really nice food.We only stayed 1night.

Situated in a quiet road this hotel evokes an old world charm of the 50s-70s. Rate per night is cheap. I was given a room on the 2nd level next to the staircase. Room was big and clean. Bathroom has hot shower. TV does not worked. The only downside is that the receptionist who are indonesian cannot speak english but they are friendly. Overall experience is good and i will return again.

Clean, very cheap, great location, big room no aircon in our room but a big ceiling fan, ensuite, towels provided, and a tv, free drinking water. We enjoyed our stay here. 2 nights is enough in Ipoh but an interesting place

stayed for 2 nights in a double room which was a good size. located a 5 minute taxi drive from the train station. ipoh itself wasn't anything special and we felt 1 night would have been adequate.. good place for a stopover!

Air conditioned room is 55R, fan room is 45R. Foreigners are asked to pay 10 ringgits on top of the room rate. The room was old and had a nice feel to it. For some reason the WiFi password was only for the innkeepers so I wasn't told, so I think you need to bring your own SIM. This may be the oldest inn I've ever stayed at. There was no dirt on the floor or desk and it was very clean.
