From the reviews, we did not have high expectations for the place. It is old with timber floors that creak, oldish furniture but decent bed. Big shower with sliding glass doors but could do with more lighting. Staff was helpful and very responsive. The in room safe had outdated instructions that cannot operate the safe. When we called, they sent...

Comfy bed, good breakfast, nice value for massage at spa, but also showing signs of age. Staff a bit sparse... had to search. Friendly once located though. Really enjoyed massage and was fairly priced.

It is an old hotel, not vintage, more like antique, old fashioned. But for the price offered and its pool, bathtub with nice running hot shower that feels like massaging your back, and classic feels and big timberfloor room, it is far better than a costly boutique hotel. The view from the room? Breathtaking! Stayed for two nights with a...

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious. Rooms and bathroom are clean. Good spread available for breakfast. The reception area is huge. Hotel looks nicr and comfortable but has an old and musky feel to it. Feels a bit like walking into time.

The point to rate a Hotel, Place or Restaurant normally is with a Star but when you find a place like this I change Stars for Asterisks. When you arrive the first image is a old but big hotel when accessing the hotel the First star fall and blurred by the dusty and dirty access, Old is not a synonym...

It is a comfortable stay, big beds, and offered us newspapers. The lobby was nice and very large. I don't know so much about this hotel because I only stayed here for one night. However, the rooms were old, the reception was slow, and the window lead into a wall. I didn't really mind these problems while I stayed there....

Syuen Hotel Ipoh, the location of the hotel is superb easy access to food outlets, shopping mall just right opposite of the hotel, everything is within walking distance. Stayed in a room at the 7th floor, the room was pretty spacious, facing the swimming pool, but the furnishing of the room looks tired although the room is clean. The reception...

Syuen is probably one of the best hotel in Ipoh. Location is superb, the room is spacious, check in and check out is a breeze. The front desk staff was very helpful as well. Breakfast was reasonable good. This is our regular hotel when ever we visit Ipoh nowadays.
