Stayed at Tulip over the weekends and totally satisfied to the max. The staff at the reception was helpful & accommodating, mattress was excellent, water pressure is great and more importantly the place is clean and they have an outdoor water filter which supplies filtered water. The room rate is definitely a plus point. Having said that, the WIFI connection is erratic at times during my stay. Otherwise, a perfect stay in a perfect hotel !

I stayed there for 2 nights.
First thing you have to know - you have to pay cash at the receptionist + RM100 for deposit (no credit card or debit card transaction). The rate is RM70 during weekdays and RM90 during peak seasons. Very reasonable room rate.
The room consists of a single bed (comfortable and clean), a desk (a telephone on the desk), a chair by the desk, a mirror at the wall, a flat screen tv on the wall, 2 hangers and a bathroom. No closet. Very small area to move around. The room was considerably small but the bathroom was spacious compared to the room size. The place was clean.
Free WIFI and the air-conditioner was working perfectly.
The staff at the reception were helpful and friendly.
The hotel is facing the 'Giant' the hypermarket so it was so convenient to buy anything needed.

I came across this hotel via Facebook. Great small hotel with ample parking space and tight security because Sunway has their own guards patrolling the area. Room are decent size. Powerful showers. Spacious bath. Comfortable beds and most of all clean with friendly staffs. i spent 2 nights at Tulip and wish i could stay longer. Not to mention that Maybank & Giant is also just around the corner for me to do banking and light shopping. (walking distance). Sunway Lost World of Tambun water park is also very near by and great if i came with my family. Definitely will come back to Tulip whenever i am in Ipoh. Best budget hotel in Ipoh.

For the price it is a good value hotel particularly if you are going to the lost word of tambun theme park. Its cheap and located just less than 1km from the resort. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfy. The room is a bit small but can still fit 2 people comfortably. Some rooms are slightly bigger and can accommodate an extra bed depending on the layout. It is a no frills hotel so dont expect anything grand. They provide basic shower facilities- hot water and liquid soap. There is a drinking fountain next to reception for hot and cold water. There is a giant next door and nasi kandar shop around the corner.

The only downside of this hotel is they only accept cash. We didnt know this but fortunately we had enough cash with us to cover the bill.

We stayed here two nights due to its proximity to The Lost World of Tambun. This hotel looks fairly new and it is in excellent condition. It is run by a very nice lady and her family. The rooms are very clean and well maintained and filtered water is available in the reception area, which is a very handy feature. The property is very secure as they have someone at reception 24 hours and you need to be buzzed into the building. I would have liked a safe in the room, but it was fine without. The rooms also don’t have a fridge, but we were able to store our food in a bar fridge that the owners had.
The rooms decor is very minimalist. The wall behind the bed was painted green as a feature wall and the room had a bed, a desk and a wall mounted flat screen tv. The bathroom was small but sufficient. There is soap in a dispenser next to the shower, so you reach over to the shower when washing your hands as there was no soap next to the sink. There are restaurants and a supermarket nearby and it is about a ten minute walk to the Lost World of Tambun. A grab ride here from Ipoh will set you back about 15RM.

Definitely worth it! For the price, the room is nice, the location is right in front of Giant and very near to Tambun. A good place to stay just for overnight to go Lost World of Tambun. The room is clean and good size bedroom. Not too small and not so big. The hotel seems like a new hotel.

Stayed here for two nights. The room was not really spacious as we chose the queen sized bedroom but you still can move around. The air conditioner worked perfectly as well as the heater. However the receptionists were not that friendly as we thought. Never once they smile at us. However the manager was helpful. 👍
