I booked for 1 night for short trip. It is very small room and not feeling comfortable during my stay because the toilet is in front of your bed and glasses!
The room is clean and tidy which is good but the size is not so pleasant and you can hear people walking clearly from the corridor.
Overall is just ok.

We stayed one night @de botani Ipoh. Well maintained, clean and comfortable for an almost two years old hotel. We Paid a Reasonable price @rm168 for a family room (4pax). It took About 10 to 15 minutes’ drive to town Centre. The hotel does not provide coffee n tea making facilities; but they do provide mineral water and glasses. They also have hot/cold water dispenser on each floor. Hotel has no lift so residents have to uses the stairs. Overall it a good stay. Thank you.

Pro:
Good place for a budget motel/hotel. Looks new and everything was clean. Only perks are the abundance of water dispenser.
Cons:
Location wise a little bit far away from Ipoh (15mins drive) (outskirts of Ipoh)
Can hear people talk in the hallways.

it's a fairly cheap and clean place for a quick short stay - although it was quite far from the sites of attractions which we wanted to visit and eat at. there's towels provided, there's also amenities for hot and cold water. there's also an adjoining massage parlour next door - but the services there are questionable.

The first time I stayed here was three years ago, and coming back recently the hotel is still nice and clean. The rooms are spacious and well designed. Water dispensers are available on every floor and the staff is very helpful. Well situated near many restaurants as well. Overall budget friendly and definitely staying here next time I visit Ipoh!

Paid 108 for superior room and it was clean, neat, simple and nice. The staffs were so friendly. Its a walk up hotel but the staffs will definitely help with luggages so there no worry about this. Towels, Mineral water and glasses provided, hair dryer can be request from the staffs. Overall, worth the price and definitely will visit again!

Went there in Dec with my extended family members. We booked family suites and these are a king sized bed with a queen size bed. So altogether 2 double beds. It was totally sufficient and relaxing to have so much ample room in the beds. Room is tidy and clean, basic with complimentary bottled mineral water. However, my relative was expecting at least an electric kettle and complimentary coffee/tea facilities. Oh yes there is dispensable shower gel in both rooms. Overall staff very friendly and helpful.

However one thing one has got to note....it is a walk up hotel

Stayed in De Botani for two nights on Dec 11-13. Hotel is located 15mins away from city. Public transport is literally non-existent in Ipoh. Having a car is essential. Hotel itself is clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Wifi is rather weak. Water dispensers are on all floors. Value for money.

The Botani Hotel in Ipoh is truly a bargain. Altough Ipoh isn't really hiped in the Lonely Planet, it truly should get more attention. When we arrived we wanted to do a day trip to the Camaron Highlands and the owners of the hotel helped with a fair deal with a driver plus cab for a daytrip. After that they took us for a city tour, we had such a good time. The rooms were very big and clean. An excellent shower and big european beds. All the staff people were kind en we really felt special there. A must stay!

We (3 of us) stayed in a family room (1king + 1single bed) for one night. It is about 7-8km from Ipoh city centre. The staff was friendly. We were given room 229. It was located on the first floor (no lift) at the second block or to be exact, behind the lobby block. Lobby, staircase and room were clean and tidy. Towels, shampoo, soaps and 3 bottles of drinking water were provided in the room. There was no refrigerator, shower cap or hair dryer in the room. Air conditioner was good. There was a hot/cold water dispenser unit next to our room door.
Toilet was a bit small but we don't mind as it was clean during our stay. It would be better if they can provide at least 2 rolls of toilet papers instead on one in the family room.
There was a pub nearby this hotel and the music could be heard in our room and it only ended very early in the morning.
For the price of rm136, we enjoyed our stay there. Good value for money.
