The arriving experience was superb! Everything was great, until the next days (Christmas eve and Christmas). Guess Haven needs to improve in handling the almost full occupancy of guests. Can see most staff tried their best to accommodate, but with better management direction and skill, could still maintain a 5 star service level. Morning egg station cannot be handled more and asked us to come back to order only later as unable to cope. Breakfast on Christmas day was totally chaos and nobody is able to follow CMCO SOP, like table was not sanitised, no proper queue guidelines among guests. One thing really good was guests provided with glove as we touch on each ladle when taking buffet food. Too bad many did not use it. Room still had dust when we arrived and asked for room cleaning again, room attendant supervisor told us that it was actually from renovation that just ended a day before and we were the first guests hence the renovation dust still there, they helped to entirely wiped all over, and was improved. Overall experience was good and relaxing. One thing love that all rooms were facing lake view which is perfect. I think with the package price though, the full board menu could be enhanced, as in fruits, desserts and drinks.

The Haven is a very scenic all-suite resort, conveniently located within minutes drive to the main Ipoh town. It is very family-friendly, has a nice pool, a children’s playroom equipped with a foolsball table, Wii, and board games; and also a well equipped gym and sports facilities. We were there over the New Year’s Eve weekend. It was very kind of the Haven to upgrade us to 3BR apartments which gave the kids lots of room to play and interact with their cousins. Special shout out to Senior Reservations Exec. Ms Lai Kuan. She was very prompt in her response when we first enquired about the accommodation and was most helpful to assist us in arranging for our rooms to be on the same floor and also assisted us in dining reservations within the premises. What was most awesome about her was that she went out of her way to courier back my kids’ water bottles which they accidentally left behind at the reception area when we checked out!! Another person that we were grateful to was Mr Aven from F&B. He promptly set up a private area to host our extended family @Cuisines after he realised there was an internal miscommunication that failed to reflect our booking for New Year’s Eve dinner. The housekeeping staff that we made contact with during our stay were very friendly and they were very efficient and thorough in their job. This resort definitely impress with their service level and attitude!

I book the hotel via klook which included breakfast, lunch and dinner for 2 persons. Definitely worth the money. The foods are good, the breakfast not much choices but delicious. Everything is good here, we will come again next time. I am sooo in love with this place. Another good point is we do not need to bring drink water here because it has coway machine in every unit.

Booked for a 3 night stay recently and left after 1 night. This is a confusing hotel . As a couple we were given a 3 bedroom with 2 bedrooms closed off no problem there. The shower in the ensuite had mould in the grout there were patched punch holes in the door which had been poorly painted the walls were badly scuffed and overdue for a paint and the dust on the tv cabinet in the lounge was disgusting. We placed towels on top of the mattress to sleep as the bed was making us itchy. The units have a laundry which was an empty room with no facilities not even a tub. They provide a kitchen with plates, knives and forks and stovetop yet no cooking equipment. It was noisy as people played loud music to all hours and scraped chairs over the balcony when they sat and smoked. The buffet breakfast we arrived sat watched and chose to skip after seeing way too many children stick their heads and hands into the cloches. They claim to have an exemplary no covid record I feel that is more luck that good management. Was given a drink voucher upon arrival and then told could not use it at dinner on the first night. Did not even get asked why were were checking out 2 days earlier. The walk around the pool and gardens would have been nice had it not been for unsupervised children running into you and inhaling the smoke from parents sneaking in a cigarette or two. If you are looking for a place where the kids can run amuck and you can do nothing and you have a hearing problem this is for you but if you are a couple looking to relax and unwind forget it.

Confounded. How could this post be authentic? The post seems to take issue with everything. We are not inclined to comment but for the sake of the independent readers here is our response. 1. Our 1 Bedroom Lakeview Suites are limited therefore we offered our larger units of size 1180 sqft to the guest. As the unit booked and paid for is a one bedroom unit, we had clearly informed all our guests who booked a one bedroom unit to use only one bedroom, we also hang a small sign on the door knob to remind the guest not to use the other two bedrooms. 2. We have checked with our glitch report and we could not find any complaint during the stay. We would have gladly received the feedback, rectified and solved the problem(s) if we had received any of the complaints. 3. It is in our house rule that cooking is not permitted for short stay as we will not be able to turn over our room in time for our next guest. Cooking is only allowed for stays of 7 days or more. 4. Our resort is a place for peace and relaxation and is suitable for all ages. Hence, we dutifully observe noise control at all times. We do not allow extreme loud noise that can cause disturbance to our guest(s). On this particular occasion it was a weekend and there were many guests and kids at that time and may have contributed some noise. However we do monitor and control noise strictly. 5. Our resort provides designated area for smoking. Smoking in the room and specific public places are prohibited. We do have a prominent swimming pool rules and regulation board to notify the users that smoking is prohibited and we do have pool attendants on watchful eyes monitoring the observance of rules. 6. We will choose not to comment on what we consider to be frivolous complaints. We would ask these questions: a) If the comments have been made with good intentions, should we not have given the feedback or the opportunity to rectify rather than receive adverse criticism in public. b) Why has the reviewer gone to this extent in hitting us hard in almost all areas? 7. We do doubt the true intention of this report and we hope all the readers can see through this as well.

I reserved a place for my dad at The Haven's Restaurant for Christmas Eve Dinner Buffet on 24th Dec 2019 as i couldnt make it together with him on that day.I decided to let him try the dining experience there since it is rated as a 5 star hotel. Mr Michael ,the manager of the hotel's restaurant has greeted my dad with a warm welcome and ushered him to a spot exclusively for him which was not too chilly and close enough to enjoy the glimpse of the scenic view.Michael and his team have been very attentive and helpful to my dad throughout the night.The diners were also accompanied by a band of carollers.And each one of the guests was given a mug as gift. On the food aspect ,they served salads,pumpkin soups,roast turkey,beef, lamb,fried rice ,baked seabass, lemon basil pesto shrimp coupled with pan seared chicken and roast duck, the main corse were scrumptious to my dad's liking,the duck ,lamb and pesto shrimp especially,savoury and succulent.These were finished with Cheese cakes and Rasperry mousse.However he disliked the chicken and beef as he mentioned they were still raw.He was not too impressed with the limited variety of dishes,something that should not be expected to come from a 5 star hotel.Even some 4 star hotels in Kota Kinabalu have more than them to offer like lobsters,oysters,tiger prawns etc at almost the same price on special occasions . To sum it up,this is the place to enjoy buffet by a beautiful idyllic scenery.But if you are looking for a buffet oriented place,you might want to look elsewhere.I hope the management can revamp their menu selection and variation.This is the main issue that keeps me from giving them a 5 all day.However the service provided is impressive and i want to thank Michael and team for their politeness and upmost hospitality in keeping their customers entertained and feel very much at home.

Me and my family of 5 stayed here for 1 night on our back to KL from up north. We booked the 3 bedrooms suite with the lake view.
There are many things to like about this resort. Firstly, the suite we stayed in was really impressive! Very spacious, beautifully furnished, good quality appliances, super comfortable beds, fast wifi and last but not least, the amazing view of the lake, limestone hills and the swimming pool. The 3 bedrooms suite includes 3 bathrooms; kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker plus complimentary soft drinks, snacks and tea/coffee mixes; living area with dining table, sofa, coffee table and a big screen smart TV with multiple cable channels. There’s another TV in the master bedroom.
The staff were also very friendly and attentive. Starting from the security guard at the entrance gate, to the team at The Cuisines and even the guy who look after the pony, they were all very helpful and made us feel welcome.
The resort has many facilities - a huge swimming pool that caters for both adults and children; jogging track around the lake, fully equipped gym, badminton and basketball courts, ping pong and also a spa. I used the gym and my wife went for the spa treatments and we were both happy with the experience.
We had great time at this resort and will certainly stay here again as a family. Perhaps one area which can be improved is the buffet breakfast. After all the 5 stars services, rooms and facilities, the buffet breakfast turned out to be quite average if compared to other 5 stars hotels.

We made a direct booking by calling the hotel, and were offered a full board stay with 3 meals provided. We did not regret our choice here. The place is super picturesque and instagrammable, just bring along your cameras and snap away. This was one of the hotels where you could really expect to see what the pictures show online. The staff gave us personalised treatment, especially in serving us the meals - the chef and manager came to have a chat with us. From the swimming pool to jogging track, playground and pets corner, clubhouse facilities and in-house spa, you can just stay here for 24 hours or more without stepping outside the hotel and still have so many things to do! Seriously worth it.

This hotel is located 20 minutes drive from the airport and 10 to 15 minutes away from the city centre.
The view of the limestone hill from the hotel balcony was breathtaking. Sitting in the heated jacuzzi pool breathing in the fresh mountain air will definitely melt your stress away.
The staff, service, food and environment are exceptional. Highly recommended to those who needed a short break.

We took a weekend stay for 2 days 1 night in Haven Hotel Ipoh. The room is spacious, clean and nice. The bed and pillows is comfortable. Our room view is facing the lake and part of the pool.
The breakfast is average. The location is out of Ipoh town and will take 20 - 25 minutes drive to Ipoh town.
Their Management have maintain the Hotel Haven, room, bathroom, lake, swimming pool and other hotel area very good. The visitors will have nice feel when walking around the hotel area during morning and evening time.
We will recommend Haven hotel to my friends and we will stay again in the near future.

Hi, good afternoon. Yes we need the ic for all adults only during check in. You may produce the ic during registration and do not require to bring a photocopy of the ic during check in.

the lost world of tambun is just few minute away from the hotel by car. cant really say regarding the ticketing queue since I went on weekdays.so almost no other people there.
For f&b, there wide of options around the area. You going to field day on that.
