Stayed 1 night in 2 bedroom apartment during the 2nd day of Chinese New Year. Check in was fast, the front desk staff was polite and helpful. The apartment is spacious and nice with it's contemporary design. However I felt it was not properly clean up, the floor was sticky and I still can smell something like curry when I first entered the apartment. The kitchen came with some basic utensil as per what other guests have commented earlier. The hotel policy stated that cooking is not allowed for stay which are less than 7 days. However it would be good to provide full set of kitchen utensils. The swimming pool is great, very clean and the kids love the pool - the glass pool by the lake is superb! In order to keep the rental rates low and to serve our guests to the best of our ability, we have embarked on a practice that guests are allowed to use the kitchen for stays of 7 days or longer. We have had very bad experiences of cleaning thoroughly soiled kitchens from guests of short stays, causing really major problems for us, especially when new guests had to wait long hours before their booked units are delivered to them. We thus have no choice but to stop the use of kitchens for short term stays. I am thus very surprised that you smelled curry in the unit -- it is probably food brought in by the previous guests. We regret your discomfort in this incident. Concerning the Astro channels, all our units are equipped with 19 international channels, according to Best Western International standards. For our buffet breakfast, we serve an international spread with a variety of items, rotated according to a schedule. We thank you for bringing your concerns to us and strive to continually improve to bring our guests the best. The hotel is situated in a beatiful setting but is 10 kms out of Ipoh town and as such if you do not have a car you are completely reliant on Taxis who will charge form both the trip out and the trip back each time you book one. This would not be so bad if the hotel was able to provide a reasonable choice of food and did not close at 10:30 sharp each night. We also had not enough hot water for a shower each despite numerous requests to have the water checked. Apart from the very helpful bar staff the remaining staff lacked any command of English and seemed to have little local knowledge. If you are happy to have to pass through two gate house checks and do not mind having steel barrier doors outside your room door then this is the place for you. I will certainly never return…

Regarding our location, all guests are aware prior to booking their stay, that our resort is a 10km drive from Ipoh Town. This is also part of our charm as it allows guests to enjoy the natural beauty to our pristine surroundings, yet is just 15 minutes away to town by car. We also provide shuttle service upon request from guests. Our restaurant operates daily until 11pm, as stated in the letter given to all guests during your check-in, along with information about other hotel facilities. Hello, i am writing in continuity of a previous reviewer 'willyGforce'. i have to admit that the place is beautiful and well designed and provides a serene outlook for nature for a briskful and enjoyable outing. However, from my experience, and i am strongly standing by it, that the management of this beautiful place is extremely poor and saddening. A holiday goer like me who would like to have some time out with friends and cousins found our stay here very disturbing with such disturbance and annoyance from the staffs. As all holiday goer, I would like to have a private time with our own family and friends. And with due respect, while were spending the one night out in this place, we did not disturb nor hurt, or for the matter of fact, see anybody else in this place. Our night…
