Located on old Hugh Low Street (now Jalan Sultan Iskandar), the former OCBC headquarters has been restored, renovated, painted and made to look like how it was back in its day, pre-war time. Consisting of 11 rooms occupying the first floor, which was the original office floor.

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We has a room facing the garden which was quiet even though there was lots of loud music being played in the neighbouring streets for Diwali. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They organised a trip around the local cave temple for us and gave great recommendations on where to eat. Located really close to the old town centre and easy walking distance to new town.

The locality of this hotel is good, near to famous eataries like Nam Heong, Thean Chun kopitiams, famous Concubine Lane, Trick museum etc. However disappointing we do not have a good rest as our room is above the street, can hear the loud blasting of loud music to the late night as near to Deepavali festival and early morning prayers. They do not make up your room till you check up but the reception is very friendly n helpful

Have you slept in a pawnshop? This was once a Pawnshop/Goldsmith property in the yesteryears, is now recycled into a beautiful guesthouse for travellers. Clever owner had conserved the old property very well. The nature and mortar are blended so beautifully while re-building the guesthouse. Birds, koi and plentiful frangipani are just steps away from your room. A relaxing atmosphere here to enhance your stay. Really good! We took the Green Magpie ensuite double-room for about RM230/night. The back room is quieter and away from the traffic noise. Breakfast is unavailable here. The room is neat and clean with retro style furnitures of the yesterdays. Basic toiletries are provided with fairly good indoor wifi connectivity. There are about 4 TV channels both in English and…

Highly commended for the friendly staff and well kept place. Close to Old Town, just diagonally opposite the 3rd Concubine Lane. Choose Magpie Room. Open the windows to be greeted with the greenery and beautiful backyard.

A lovely restoration of an old shophouse in this interesting town.Room basic but fine for one night. Clean and comfortable with a good shower. Breakfast is not available here,which we knew in advance. No problem to pop along the street to the restaurant owned by the same people for a good strong breakfast coffee. Very friendly staff.
