hotel is at good location as close to train station, old town and not too far from the airport. There is a 24 hours 7-11 if you need some snacks and drinks. The room is ok with view to the padang, air conditioner work well. There is water dispenser at the coridor. What they need to improve is their staff. We booked 2 rooms (twin & triple) for 2 nights and requested same floor rooms. We arrived around 14.45 and the receptionist said that our rooms are not ready yet. We were waiting at the lobby. At 15.00 we asked again and the receptionist said that if we want same floor rooms, it will ready by 15.30. We agreed and left our luggage to the concierge/doorman. We went for some snack and shopping and back to the hotel around 16.30 and the receptionist gave us 2 rooms not at the same floor. We were angry at that time. If you can't give us same floor rooms, you should told us earlier and we can enter the rooms at 15.00 not to be waited until 17.00. Another receptionist then checked into her computer and voilaaaa, we can get same floor rooms. I don't know what kind of game they played. The next day, we already put the make up room sign on the door before we left and when we back to the hotel at 15.30, the house keeping haven't make up our room. …

The staff are very friendly and helpful. We booked for 4 nights and extended our stay for another 3 nights, making a total of 7 nights. The hotel is very convenient to all facilities. The guy doing the housekeeping is very thorough with his works making sure that our stay was comfortable, safe and clean. The price we paid for the room is very reasonable and worth every sen we paid for. We will definitely stay at this hotel next time we are in Ipoh. Michael & Eleanor Chiew from Adelaide Australia.

Simple set up but fulfill all my need. The front desk staff on duty was so kind giving us a higher level room so that we can enjoy the good view of Ipoh from our room. No sahur provided as we are fasting, but we still can use Food Panda to get our food.

Clean, smart and in the perfect location for walking the Old Town. And a 10 minute walk from the train station. Attentive and friendly staff. The only failing was they didn't tell me there was a breakfast restaurant on the top floor - so missed that. Hey ho!

- Location is a major plus point of this hotel. Walking distance to eateries & gerbang malam Ipoh. -cleanliness is satisfactory, beds are comfortable. - Front desk staffs are good. -This is an express hotel, no gym..no kettle in room & basic toilet amenities provided. -Basement parking can be very challenging as the spots are very limited. Will have to park at an parking area opposite (walking distance). -However if it rain, can be a hassle. Plus the crossing area has no zebra crossing. Cars coming fast, must be very careful to cross.

Perfect stay except parking is a bit troublesome. Hotel Location is very convenience/ walking distance to old downtown. Room is very clean, front desk is friendly & helpful. Toilet drain clogged but the hotel room service response is fast & get it solved quickly.

Is a good location and budget hotel. The room is tidy and clean, excellent service staff from the front desk but a bit noisy after night maybe my room near night club side and parking not so much lot.

Good location. Room has a nice view of Kinta river. Air con was good. Bad: Smelly pillows and torn towels. Bed is too soft and uncomfortable. Cannot expect much from a budget hotel as the price was affordable.

We were welcomed with poor service from the beginning time with checking in till we left. We had booked 3 rooms for one nite, fortunately, otherwise our stay would have been more than unhappy. Following points leading to very bad review: Receptionist was not knowledgeable with guests communication of insisting rooms on the same floor and the request was done from the time the reservation was booked online. Took a long time before we got checked in. All 3 Rooms were uncomfortable with uncleaned bathroom floors, and one of the room on the sixth floor was even moldy on the walls. Bed linens felt sticky....For 3 persons bedroom, when extra pillow was requested we were told there is NO extra pillow allowed!! Toiletries were provided at minimum of a tiny piece of soap. Only one electrical outlet in room, hot water dispenser in the alleyway of rooms, why not advertise CITIDEL as a hostel & NOT hotel??!!…
