We have recently hosted a private birthday event at Level 5 in Regalodge Hotel. I would like to give compliments to the chef & team for churning out amazing food on the buffet, our guest were all very happy with each item on the buffet, especially the lamb stew, the premium satay sticks, nasi lemak with chicken rendang , I would like to personally thank Intan & her team for doing a good job in setting up the decorations & function room. Compliments to Intan, she is very professional and very passionate in making sure her client’s needs are met, she is very accommodating to our requests and also politely explain what can be done or not. As an events personnel, she is very hands on with the setup and decorations, she ensures her best efforts and I can see the genuineness in her & putting her heart in everything she does. To Regalodge Hotel’s Management, your employees are to keep! Keep up the good work!

The room was quite ok, but the hotel seriously needed some major upgrading as it looked so old and tired. Really want to give major good feedback on the reception front office staff and the chef (forgot this name) at the breakfast place. They were always so friendly and helpful , it really made our trip very pleasant.
One thing the hotel needed to do constant maintenance is the LIFT! The lift did not have any sensor / reactor , and when a person try to walk in and out of the lift, the lift did not sense any person at all, and tried to close on us several times! The lift door hit my arm and it was Ouch!

The infrastructure is very worn out, and generally feels very shabby (especially the corridors, windows, etc. Beds definitely hurt, and wifi barely works. It's not awful and *just* not fully unpleasant, but definitely the utmost basic, devoid of any charm, and not very clean nor maintained at al.
Staff is very nice, but that's not enough...There are much better options in a similar price range.

The hotel room condition is not as what was being advertised and shown in picture. The condition of of the room is pretty old and not well maintained.
There is stained on the chair, god knows what is stained on it. The soundproof is horrible, you can actually hear what is happening at the hotel compound and the next door room. In the middle of the night while sleeping, you could be waken up by somebody reviving the motorbike engine, and some kids playing at the next door room.
The bed and pillow are lumpy and the bed sheets are covered in yellowish stained on it. The toilet floor and wall actually is pasted with wallpaper paste. Especially the floor, seems like wallpaper paste on the floor serve as a covered up for the badly maintained floor, and the paste is somehow removable near the toilet bowl, and the shower water pressure is horrible especially when you try to use the hot shower. And the bath room ventilation fan is dirty and dusty, I wonder if this hotel management has spend any money on upkeeping the hotel condition.
We are not expecting something that is very high end and luxurious accommodation given the price and what the hotel has advertised, but atleast the bare minimum of a hotel should be there, like the hygienic, soundproof, bed, toilet, and the overall comfort for a guest experience should be met. I am not trying to teach anyone how to run their business but as a guest who have paid for the service should received the value of the service that is equivalent for what is being paid for. The pictures that are posted far from what is provided.

I was there on the 1st Aug and out 2nd. Overall the room, reception staff and security was awesome. Kudos especially to Mr. Joel where his hospitality is always the best.
Was there for breakfast but a constructive feedback especially during the RMCO period where we are all fighting for Covid. Food is perfect & tasty but only need to ensure all guest is wearing on face mask while taking their food. When I was there seeing other guest - not wearing mask, guest was chitchat and taking food. Saliva will contaminate the food and is very dangerous especially the spreading of the pandemic. Other hotels the food is served ala carte or chef served the guest.
Please have a look at this seriously. Overall Regalodge is my favourite all time hotel.
Thank you and stay safe!

I don't need much from a hotel. Just a quiet room, clean bed and an adequate bathroom.
My 2 night stay was spoiled by having only lukewarm water available to shower.
The tech problems were explained to me but they should have moved me to another room.
Rude check in staff on arrival. No greeting just walked off with my passport to copy without asking.
The hotel has been upgraded, need to fix the staff now.

We were disappointed. The room and hallway smelled like cigarettes, we found hair in the bathroom which didn’t belong to us, the room was full of stains and not clean at all. It doesn’t look like the pictures at all.

Tired and a bit disheveled. The room was small and lacked some basic amenities. The town, and particularly the caves, were great to see, but it was not a treat to come back to the hotel. Breakfast had little we could eat.

Just an average hotel nothing special but it was clean.
You can’t book in before 3pm so if you have travelled a long way and are tired and hoping to book in early you can’t.
Breakfast was just edible again basic.
But good location. For sight seeing and nice and quiet with parking available.

staff friendly and rooms are okay. But very very strange that 'the spa' at the first floor appears to be a brothel/ sex club...!! Very inappropiate to have such a business in this hotel.

Response from DixonChai, Manager at Regalodge Hotel Ipoh
Responded 17 Mar 2012
Dear suzanneDH r, Warm greetings from Regalodge Hotel Ipoh! Thank you for your feedback! Glad to learn that, our room and services had met up to your expectations. I'm deeply distressed on your accusation of our Spa and regret for any misunderstanding to have make you think that way. To avoid this matter be subjected, we've even restricted the spa for man only. Over 15 years of the hotel reputation, I can assured our Spa is a decent business. It is an unfair and inaccurate slander against the hotel. Brothel business is illegal in our country. I hope you understand such statements in your review are highly detrimental and damaging for a hospitality business. I sincere apologize if any of the above statements offense you. We always welcome comments and suggestions, however, we would also very much appreciate that feedbacks and reviews be based on accurate and true facts. Thank you! Best Wishes, Dixon Chai Assistant General Manager Regalodge Hotel Ipoh

I booked online and paid there and then, but the remainder upon arrival... check their online payment details because it changes from time to time. Have a wonderful trip! Hope this helps.
My room had no bath but a shower, which was excellent. A shower is ideal in a tropical country.
I think this hotel do not have any connection rooms. They have Family Suites with 2 queen beds though.
