Clean rooms. Central of George town. Just that too many parked cars around the area, these vehicles alarm goes off the whole night till morning. No one attend to the parked vehicles. Grab is easy, still affordable for bagpackers. Good for exploration locals area.
The only good thing about this hotel is it's location right across the LGL hospital which is why we also chose to stay here. Room is very basic. Cleanliness is average. My bed sheet has stain on it and it was not changed for the 3 nights we stayed. Very limited TV channels option, and bad reception as well. Only provided 2 complimentary bottles of mineral water each day, extra will be charged as displayed on the front desk. Also the first time in any hotel we've ever stayed in that doesn't provide hand and face towels just because our room is standard room. Only few eatery in surrounding area and not very good ones. Quite a walk to the lively area of Georgetown. So unless you're visit is for medical purpose only it is worth staying here. And even then I still think its better to stay somewhere else and use grab to go back and forth to the hospital, since grab ride is easy and cheap in Penang. …
Unfriendly staff at front desk. The ground workers are polite but front desk staff behave as if they are doing you a favour. Not worth the price I paid. Very basic amenities only. Rooms are not sound proof so can hear everything that goes on the main road and along the corridor. If you are a Loh GL hospital patient please do not stay here if you want a good night's sleep. Will never return here.
Very clean and efficiently run hotel with moderate prices. If walking it will take you twenty minutes to Gurney Plaza or to the Heritage area, but that's reflected in the lower room rate. Many of the guests are attending the nearby medical tourism facilities.
I stayed for 5 nights in family quad room for the first 3 nights and the aparment with 2 rooms inside for the last 2 nights. The location is very good for medical puprose. I'm here as a companion for my mom who had a medical check up for her disease in Loh Gwan Lye Hospital, the hospital located in front of the hotel, just a step from the lobby hotel. There are also 7eleven and farmasy beside the hotel. The bad things about this hotel is the breakfast doesn't have much variety and quite boring because they serve the same menu almost everyday. And also the building look quite old.. But overall, it was a nice stay, nice staff.. thanks one pacific
Quick one night stay over the weekend, overall this is a value hotel. Good location and there's a convenience shop (7-Eleven) just below. Only down site is that the bed comforter was not done properly by the house keeping, which wrong side up and the bed sheets were a bit dated. Aside this, had a good stay.
Not too bad for the price as the room is clean and air conditioning was good. But one of the thing that dis appointed me was the blanket was not in a proper position as the bottom tying part was not at the bottom and I felt very disgusted. We have to overturn it by ourselves.
Clean, friendly staff and location is close to few reputable hospitals if you are coming for medical visit. The apartment is spacious for 4 persons, within walking distance to famous salty chicken. Foodcourt and restaurants are walking distance or short drive by grab or taxi
The place is not on the busy end of Macalister Road, but still walkable around 10-15 min. to the bustling hawker stalls. Really recommend it for anyone with the intention of going to Loh Guan Lye hospital as it's just on the opposite side. Near the place are sin nam huat roasted pork rice and Kapitan Restaurant branch (Indian), both being a good option for quick and cheap eats. A 24h convenient store also available downstairs. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. The downsides are: - There's not enough soundproof especially for noise from corridor. - No laundry service available.
I have low expectation for this hotel, stay here for 4 nights because we need to do MCU stuff at Island Hospital. the room is extremely big with 2 double bed, bathroom is clean but not big enough compared to the room itself. receptions are polite and helpful. for food stall, you have famous duck rice " Sin Nam Huat " just beside the hotel, they open at 10 in the morning. If you want more kopitiam style you just need to cross the road and they have a nice kopitiam in the corner. For night, if you walk 10-15 mins there will be a lot of foods also..
