The only good thing about this hotel is it's location right across the LGL hospital which is why we also chose to stay here.
Room is very basic. Cleanliness is average.
My bed sheet has stain on it and it was not changed for the 3 nights we stayed.
Very limited TV channels option, and bad reception as well.
Only provided 2 complimentary bottles of mineral water each day, extra will be charged as displayed on the front desk.
Also the first time in any hotel we've ever stayed in that doesn't provide hand and face towels just because our room is standard room.
Only few eatery in surrounding area and not very good ones.
Quite a walk to the lively area of Georgetown.
So unless you're visit is for medical purpose only it is worth staying here. And even then I still think its better to stay somewhere else and use grab to go back and forth to the hospital, since grab ride is easy and cheap in Penang.

Clean rooms.
Central of George town. Just that too many parked cars around the area, these vehicles alarm goes off the whole night till morning. No one attend to the parked vehicles. Grab is easy, still affordable for bagpackers. Good for exploration locals area.

My friend recommended me to stay in this hotel instead of a 5Star hotel. Before I had my stay I wasn't really confident of this hotel because it's brand new. But I changed views after I stayed with them and the rooms are exactly or even better than 5Star hotel rooms maybe because they are new? I'm not sure but by experience I can tell the bed is good quality as it feels as comfortable like home. Love the smile and greetings from the employees. Definitely will come back again!

Unfriendly staff at front desk. The ground workers are polite but front desk staff behave as if they are doing you a favour. Not worth the price I paid. Very basic amenities only. Rooms are not sound proof so can hear everything that goes on the main road and along the corridor. If you are a Loh GL hospital patient please do not stay here if you want a good night's sleep. Will never return here.

This is a good budget hotel with a good pricing per night. The rooms are BIG really BIG. Its even bigger than some 5 star hotel i have been. Bed is good, shower is a little small but it is good. Both the rooms and shower are clean. Has TV, mini fridge, hot kettle and other standard hotel amenities. They even serve breakfast at level 1 for RM15++. There are other several good to eat restaurants and stalls along Macalister road. You can call for taxi or other similar services of walking (if like a little adventure)

The one thing I didn't like much is the staffs - especially the front counters - they need to learn manners, respect and how to handle customers. They are not polite nor they are friendly. Apparently the house keeper are more polite and friendlier...! The management and their staffs need to improve on this, if they prefer to stay with high ratings!

Over all it is a good hotel for a price of a 5 star hotel.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are huge (we had a family room). Bathroom is small and there was some mould (though this is very common in humid Asian conditions). Beds are very firm (again, common in Asia). Good wi-fi. Breakfast on level one is reasonable but there are hawker centers close by too. Good location: 6-8MYR for a Grab into the centre of George Town.

i have some review for management to take attention
1. can i know that the standard for each room is having how many bathrobe? why two people room just provide one bathrobe...some more i got write a note to the staff but they still give us one bathrobe
2. when checked in, there was complimentary minibar inside the fridge, but why the minibar has no been replaced everyday since i have consume it? is it means that i stay in your property 3 days and i will get the same things with that i just stay in your property for only one night??
3. there is no sanitary pad that provide in the room
4. the bathroom wall was moldy and it supposes have to clean it right? is it this is the standard bathroom cleaning for the deluxe room in your property?
5. there was very hard for me to request late checked out with payment, i need to check with the front desk for three times just i get the confirmation that i can be late checked out until 6 pm with payment, some more the staff attitude is no so friendly then what i have been see in the past review by other guest
6. i think there was some communication problem between the staff, i was already confirm that i will be late checked out until 6 pm with the front desk staff, buy why when 12.30 pm the staff still calling me and remind me that your hotel checked out time is 12 noon? it let me feel that the staff didn't communicate well and the staff who call to my room to remind me the hotel checked out time also didn't confirm the time with front desk
7. the selection for the breakfast is too limited and i was having my three days breakfast in hotel restaurant but the buffet menu for the three days is almost the same
8. is it confirm that the breakfast is serve until 10.30 am?? why when i go to have my breakfast at 9.40 am, most of the food already finish and never been refill until i finish my breakfast, and the staff was already start to do cleaning for the buffet things before the breakfast time was end, some more is Sunday...
9. the egg that the hotel restaurant order is limited? the menu choices is too less some more the egg also finish when i going for my breakfast, then how about for the other guest that come after me? the food is almost finish and no choices some more no egg
10. the drinks that serve the the restaurant didn't have the tag, it was confusing the guest for choosing their prefer drinks
11. the nasi tomato is totally tasteless and the rice is very hard
12. there is no any pen and note pad that provide in the room?
these are all the comment for me through the three days that i spend in the hotel, i was very upset with the service in the hotel. It was really out of my expectation to the hotel because most of the review that i seen in the good review to the property, i know that i'm not staying in the 5 star hotel, but what my expectation for the property is just the standard.....
thank you so much...

It was our first time visiting Penang so I don’t compare it with other hotel.

During our 4 nights stay, we had a great time. My husband used his nickname name for online booking that quite different with his passport name but front desk officers helped us to recheck with online booking receipt. So, we could proceed the check in.

The room was spacious and clean. However, if you‘re a comfy bed lover, their bedding may be not your best mate. I still had a good sleep, though.

There is convenient store at lobby level, near to some local foods, and located across Loh Guan Lye Hospital.

Would like to come back again!

Hotel is very comfortable and affortable, but staff was rude. They even tell me if u have any special request and you book via online purchase agency like agoda / hotel's. Com will be subject to availability as they will priority their direct customer (walk in or direct booking with them). Rm100 deposit is required when check in.

Went to stay here for a week accompanying parents having health check up. The hotel is new, just finished like few weeks ago by the time we stay. Loved the receptionist friendliness. Room is very clean, with ceramic floors and a 40 inch LCD TV. Some of the drawback i found in this hotel is lack of cuttlery inside the room unless if you rent the 2 bedders apartment. Also it doesn't seems like you can control the central air condition (probably you can ask the reception, but i can't be bothered at that time). We got upgraded twice during my stay here.. one was upgraded to Executive, then other day was to Deluxe. There are no difference in terms of facilities between those standard, exec, and deluxe room.. only size different.

Over all experience, loved to stay here.. close to the famous Sin Nam Huat chicken rice and a stroll away from Island Hospital (about 9mins walk).

If you would like to try the hawker feeling, just about 15 minutes walk you can find the New Lane Hawker Centre.

Ghee Hiang pastry shop is just around 5 mins walk.
