The hotel room was great and clean! Overall experience was okay BUT the customer service in this hotel is probably one of the worst I have experienced! The staff that served us definitely need some training on hospitality and I don’t even understand why she is here serving the customers at the first place. And the hotel room has no towel provided which is pretty ridiculous to me! I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you are visiting Penang because I believe there are many more nicer options out there. I regretted booking this place!!

Like many others (I'm sure), I was drawn by the fancy-sounding name. I mean, with "Suites" and "Mansion One" in the name, how bad could it be? Well, apparently, quite. First, I made 2-3 round trips from the parking to the lobby because there was no sign that said that Vouk Suite clients should check in inside Vouk Hotel OR which suggested that the parking area was a different place. Don't even get me started on this particularly rude parking attendant; any Vouk Suite driver who asks about parking (outside the building) will know immediately know who I'm talking about. Secondly, after you check in, you have to walk around the block to go into Mansion One (which is actually the name of the condominium in which Vouk had purchased a few suites, it seems). Thirdly, whilst this place is positioned for families, there are no additional bedrooms or amenities for more than 2 pax. I mean, where are your kids supposed to sleep, right? At least in "real" hotel suites or family rooms, additional pax is catered for. Unfortunately, not here. And reception didn't say or offer anything despite (clearly) seeing that I brought along two kids. The unit's ambience could be easily upgraded; instead one gets the feeling that management has kept these suites to a bare minimum, no 'extra touch' whatsoever. At the relatively low price, I guess that's not very surprising - but it does tell you something about a brand which has decided that surprising their clients is no longer worth it. The only redeeming factor is the Starbucks at the Grd floor of Mansion One (which opens at 7am, pretty amazing for a Malaysian outlet. No, I won't be coming here again.

Location is nearby Gleneagles (right next door) but some Grab doesn't know to get to the Vouk Suite at mansion one. Don't forget to bring your own soaps and shampoos if you're lazy to ask for more, and toothbrush. Shower head stand was broken but overall it's ok. Another note: they don't have a safety box for your valuables.

For a suite for under RM200 a night which was a great deal if you're the sort who doesn't care very much for typical hotel facilities like the swimming pool, gym & spa, etc. In the absence of such facilities, this hotel instead gives you a large, well-appointed and comfy suite. All within reach of George Town's visitor attractions.

The lobby and surrounding areas are as bad as the photos suggest. For a slightly higher price you are way way better off booking the adjacent VOUK hotel. No breakfast included... the other VOUK hotel I stayed at was much cheaper and offered a decent breakfast

Booked but got deceived as we thought that is Vouk Hotel, but it’s another building next to Vouk Hotel. With many others offer the same suite at Mansion One with lower price with same facilities. Parking at lower ground and have to walk out of building for about 500meter heading to entrance of Mansion One. Nothing fancy, basic facilities, it’s an condominiums turns into suite hotel with some units have own residential.

We were given a high floor with a good partial sea view. The apartment was clean and bright. The bed mattress was of high quality that gave us a good night rest. It was conveniently located as we could easily get a grab car from the apartment. The famous Him Heang shop was also located nearby which costed us around RM6.00 to get there. Below the apartment was Starbuck and a mini-mart that we could take some snacks and have coffee after our tired day. The only thing that they can improve is to ensure that breakfast buffet is served hot. Most of the dishes were cold. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there.

This hotel looks new and is quite impressive upon arrival. The lobby is well decorated and quite homely. My two colleagues and I were given free upgrade to the executive suites as the deluxe rooms were not available. I find the big and deep bathtub not practical and I wonder how many guests have actually used it. The water heater control in the shower was difficult to manage with consistent water temperature which will turn either too cold or extremely hot in seconds. The room is not sound proof and I can hear hotels guests talking when passing by my room. I noticed a row of air conditioning compressors at the 4 or 5 floor balcony and I cannot imagine how noisy the humming compressors will be to those guests at these floors. Fortunately I was given room 731. Breakfast at the 2nd floor cafe is ok with very limited choice of food. But you can still a decent nice breakfast. Reasons why you should choose this hotel : Room is spacious with comfortable bed and pillows. Room is clean and spacious. It is value for money. Reasons why you may not want to choose this hotel : there is no shopping malls and eateries within walking distance and there is no much you can do after you have check into the hotel unless you have to take vehicular transport. Noise from other guest talking can be heard from the room. Reasons why I may consider this hotel again is because of the comfortable bed and spacious room.

Had a chance to stay in a two bedroom condo-tel at Vouk Suites @ Mansion One. The location is convenient and strategic - located just about 5 minutes away from Gurney Plaza and about 5 minutes drive into the UNESCO Heritage Site. We have options of a studio, one-bedroom or two-bedroom and we took up the two-bedroom. The room is clean and neat and price is also reasonable. However, I am told each of the units are a little different as it is under one management but the units are owned by different owners and furnishing is by the owners. The unit we had even come with a washing machine :) Parking is ample, at the basement but the access to the Mansion One is a little confusing. Breakfast is over at the Vouk Hotel and I can imagine it will be a little tough to get there if it is raining. There is a Starbucks and a MyNews at Ground Floor so is easy to get your cup of coffee or drinks or snacks. Overall I would say the place is reasonably priced, clean and nice
