Rooms were great too, clean, and as I said before, recently renovated. We had a great bed to sleep on and clean bathroom.
Definitely a good place to stay, also very near the city centre.
Mattresses may be new but mine was not god quality and gave me a sore back so test first.
WiFi is free and reliable, pretty quick. Has a lot of Telco antennae on the roof if that's a problem for you. Maybe don't go for top floor.
Great location for Ferry, buses Indian Food and walking into old town for morning markets etc. Georgetown is not that big but a push bike for a few days at least is good.
Staff helpful and friendly.
Will stay again.
you will have a good stay!
Very beautiful places..but for more than 200RM,,, So waliking around the city and after ckecking a couple of other places, I had the nice surprise to find this hotel in little India well located, close to the sea front .
The staff was amazingly friendly. Clean and well sized room with A/C and a clean bathroom. Very quiet place which I will go back to for sure during my next trip to Penang.
More than all of that tho, was the peerless customer service from the guys running the place. They bent over backwards to be helpful and were just good fun folks to banter with during my month in town.
The location is superb too. The main road can be a bit noisy during festivals and the walls are a tad thin, but the team kept noisy guests controlled and if you're going to complain about fireworks at CNY in Penang then you probably shouldn't be there! Right opposite you have flower sellers, a Ganesh shrine and Chinese temple and the view from my window looked right out over the handsome mosque (which was not so near that it served as an overly early alarm clock).
In sum: a great budget option; super clean and friendly; smile-abundant and helpful staff; and oodles to see, do and eat on your doorstep. If I return to Penang I'll certainly be checking back in.
