The location is impeccable. It is on a relatively speaking quiet street but just a block away from weld quay so if you are taking a train at Butterworth, it is just a short ferry ride away. It is also short walk to major sights in Georgetown. If you are going to Penang Hill, take the bus at Jetty bus center, which is right next to ferry. Breakfast is decent with buffet style. Room is clean. Bottled water provided. Socket in the room accepts US plug. However, for the first two nights, I had serious wifi issue. The down speed was around 1 mbps, which is not quite acceptable. For odd reasons, the up speed was 30 times quicker than down speed, which doesn't make any sense to me. However, that was fixed on my last day of stay. The down for the last day became 30 as well, which is more than adequate. So I guess it is fixable, i.e. if you encounter this issue, let the hotel know.

This is a great hotel and well worth a visit, traditional looking from the outside and cosmopolitan inside the hotel offers great value for money. Situated close to the major ferry terminals its an ideal place to stay. Close by are many amenities with the local Indian quarter within easy reach. Friendly and warm staff, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast to get you on to a good day.

Been here for a night and manage to get room with balcony. Only the view is the backyard of surrounding buildings as it is the only floor with balcony. Check in and check out are smooth as long as you keep the deposit receipt of RM50 intact. Room is decent for two persons and if I might suggest for the management to put something like dark tinted film on the separator glass wall for more privacy at the balcony unless the guest of next door are someone you are familiar with.

What a lovely hotel! The hotel grounds, room and bathroom is very clean and nicely decorated. Staff were so helpful and always has a smile, especially the Malay guy sitting near the entrance whom I did not get his name (thanks for reminding me my parking ticket). The hotel is strategically located in the middle of almost everything and easily accessible by walking. Breakfast on the other hand was mediocre and could be improved. Parking is also free. Overall this will be the place I’ll stay when I visit again. Kudos!

27.12.19 we’re arrive at this hotel. It’s nice hotel to stay and close to the city, car park available for guests, nice staff Front Desk and Bellman, for the breakfast need improvements actually your can’t match Briyani Rice with Chicken Rendang, it's weird.. maybe next your can be added Nasi Lemak, or Butter Rice with Ayam Masak Merah. For the room is superb clean and comfortable. And next month we’re planning to come here again for holiday.

the best place to stay when you’re in Penang. situated in the heart of Georgetown, the capital of Penang, the room & it’s facilities were good, everything that you will need for a hotel room is here. air-conditioning is easy to adjust & really satisfied with the overall service. the location itself is within waking distance to places of interest & tourist attractions & food here in Penang is one of the best. will definitely be coming back here to this hotel on my next visit.

Only 1 keycard is given and very inconvenient for us as my spouse needs to go out, my 1st experience as ALL hotels I have been to provided 2 keycards for the convenient of the guests. Only 2 bottles of mineral water provided per day. Air conditioning self cut off after certain hours, have to turn it back on each time. No teaspoon provided in the room!! Breakfast was terrible! Check out is 12am SHARP. We checked out at 1210pm and front desk called us non stop. Travellers stay away from this hotel and go for either St. Giles or The Granite, they are MUCH MORE better. I regretted of staying at this hotel.

Really friendly, welcoming, helpful staff and the cleanest, comfiest stay I’ve had for a long time. Newly refurbished with thoughtfully designed rooms, so everything is tip-top - from the MOST comfortable bed/bedding, intelligent lighting, effective blackout curtains, great flooring, shower, breakfast... the list goes on! Oh, and SO CLEAN! Would definitely stay here again!
