Stayed here for 3 days 2 night. Very strategic location a lot of good food near by and flee marker. A lot of cafe around too.. There is one dim sum shop near the hotel. Staff was friendly and fast check in.

This hotel is so basic that I've stayed in hostels with more furniture. The room had a bed, a desk, and a chair. It reminded me of a Jail cell. Depressing rooms and basic. Breakfast is disgusting. They don't even have eggs, but they do serve rice and cold spaghetti. There are better places at a similar price. AVOID.

Travelodge could have been a 5/5 experience - it could have had class - been a contender - but wasn't. Travelodge is well located, flanked by some great food courts for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the UNESCO part of Georgetown is a walk or inexpensive cab away. The rooms are a bit basic, echoey because lacking soft furnishings (window blind rather than curtains), but on the plus side, the hotel is decorated with the owner's fantastic art collection. The front desk and English speaking security guard were really super helpful. When we arrived, our room, on a non-smoking floor, stank of cigarettes. The glasses/cups in the bathroom had been used as ashtrays. There was soap stains on the bathroom door which weren't cleaned off for the 3 days we were there. The impression was was that the hotel was understaffed perhaps? If the owner wants to cut housekeeping costs to fund some new art, I don't think that will lift the rating above 3/5.

You may consider this hotel if you can accept : - Lousy music in your room through the wall from the hotel bar along the night (yes, till the other morning) even they said they will close down at 2AM. - Staff is not helpful at all, will just simply reply "Oh... I will inform them" - Limited parking space - Lousy, dark bathroom with smells

2nd time here. Reception professional and pleasant, hassle free. They try to accommodate my requests. Lifts require key card scan to the floor, nice layer of security. Room clean and functional. One gets the amenities similar to more expensively priced hotels including minibar and the soft thin slipper (don’t know what you call it). No bottled water but dispensers on every floor, I don’t like it but no big deal I got my own water. Most important for me, windows can be opened halfway, critical for ventilation due to covid situation and have supply of fresh air into the room. I took the room only package. Who needs breakfast when the food court literally 30-40 steps to the left provides great local fare options. Very value for money to my mind. Limited parking at front apparently there are parkings at the back but I think limited. I wouldn’t drive to this hotel and tight parking spots not for me. That should not be a deterrent though as for the price and value, there is not many hotels that can rival Travelodge in my view. All in highly recommended.

The hotel itself is in a good location. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. The biggest let down was the breakfast. I appreciate that with Covid most places have scaled back operations but this is farcical for western travellers. Coffee and tea are pre-made. Both are extremely weak, there are no tea spoons, just small stirrers. The food choices are for the Asian market, rice porridge, fried rice, friend noodles, hard boiled eggs ( pre boiled and cold ) and bread to make your own toast. No cereals, no milk, no pastries and certainly no cooked western food. For cutlery there are no knives. I spoke to the worker at the reception and complained, I asked about cereal at least. He said they would try for me. This morning there was no alternative options nor feedback provided. It is clear this is a budget hotel now not a 3* Travelodge and certainly not interested in accommodating requests from customers. Despite the hotel website still displaying pictures of a sumptuous buffet not currently provided (at the same rate!!) I would give the breakfast service 1 * and can't believe they charge $9 AU from the booking site for this. This is not poor service, this is theft!!!!!!

It was a pleasant stay over here. Staffs were all friendly and communicating with them was a breeze! Great service rendered throughout our stay. Rooms were relatively clean however I strongly believe that there might have a room for improvements. It's a great place for food hunter. Hats off to receptionist, Mr. Rizal who went the extra mile in assisting me with the parking issue. A genuine staff worth keeping!

1 out of 5... Good thing is only the location and helpful housekeeping staff. Bad thing is 1st : Totally under staff at the front office, reception totally unfriendly no consideration, no hospitality spirit 2nd : if drive pls prepare challenges at the parking area. 3rd : Room totally basic, no worth the price during the weekends. Just felt like a day light robbery to the guest by the mgmt and owners. Its has been for quite sometimes border is open and everyone able to stay in hotels but mgmt and owners are still thinking of profit rather than givin the hospitality experience and spirit.
