Going to Penang alone and did a lot of research where to stay, SAVV is a surprise! It is not a popular hotel. Not much review but I just like it when I saw it. Especially I am travelling alone, I don't need a big room, but clean and safe and convenient are important to me. (Privacy as well). Booked Cabin Room via their hotel website, I love that window with sea view. Room size is perfect for solo traveler. Bathroom is clean and with all the necessary amenities. The location is good, Tan Jetty and Chew Jetty are just opposite to the hotel. And Heritage Area, all the street arts, Beach Street is close by, all walking distance. Highly recommend!
When I read the reviews of this hotel I was impressed, especially in relation to their room rates. I am used to 4-5 star hotels in both my professional and personal travels and when I booked into the Cabin Room at Savv, I didn't really know what to expect. I was only hoping the reviews were true. My initial booking was only for 3 nights but I ended up extending my stay to 7 nights :) It was absolute COMFORT. Though the room was smaller than what I'm used to, there was enough space for 1 person and several bags. My favourite thing about the hotel is the BED and BATHROOM. The BED (even though for Cabin Room it was a single bed), makes you just want to lie in. An added comfort is the movable side table (not sure what it's called) that made gave you no reason to move out of bed once you've tucked yourselves in. The BATHROOM was another pleasant surprise. It had the luxurious feel in the layout, space, finishing and fittings. Felt like a 4-5 star hotel (minus the excessive amenities of course). Other exceptional areas were: - cleanliness - friendliness of housekeeping staff - personalized service throughout - tap water filtered by Bacfree (ready to drink) - a light on the lower part of the wall near the floor that you could leave on to make it easier to find your way to the bathroom at night - small pool with jacuzzi function - open deck with plenty of sun and breeze I am thoroughly impressed at how Savv Hotel managed to get it right - ie; minimizing cost by doing away with the frills but retaining the nuances that makes a luxury hotel, hence being able to transfer that added value to guests. Thank you to the hotel staff and management. Kudos to all of you!…
Great stay and personal experience at this hotel. I strongly recommend this for families looking to stay close to the attractions in Georgetown and the great food. Just opposite you have the clan jetties and just behind there is a good amount of shops serving great food. Close to the Little India and the attractions. Service was good.
Irrespective you’re on vacation or on a business trip, this is one hotel that will never disappoint! Especially during this troubling and concern for health and safety, SAVV Hotel has taken upon themselves to practice Covid SOP at a commendable level. From the time one get one’s luggages and before entry, security will do sanitization on your belongings and the soles of every guests’ feet! Check ins are also done with safety protocols with staff wearing gloves to handle your IC and credit cards. Every touch surfaces like door knobs are with signs that it is frequently sanitized. The individual rooms are tastefully designed with all the amenities expected of a premium hotel but at affordable pricing. The bed linens, pillows are spotlessly clean and fresh Their staff are courteous, friendly and helpful at all times. Check it out in your next trip to Penang!! …
I was told this is a 3 star Hotel. After staying there I think they deserve 6 stars for their cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff and strict adherence to Covid19 SOPs. Location was superb and very convenient to all the good food and attractions Georgetown has to offer. Very very impressive.
We are a group of 8ppl who were a bit afraid to travel locally, inview of the Covid virus. However, we felt very safe at Savv Hotel as they have enforced excellent sanitization n safety measures to ensure the well being of their guests. The rooms were well maintained and very clean. They were very knowledgeable in the local Penang history and gave good recommendations on places to visit n dine. Our group really appreciated their kind efforts on the delicious food and warm hospitality. We will definitely be back.
Stayed at the premier room which has a very cool balcony with superb view. We actually extended our stay for another 1 night because we love the room too much! All the staffs are super nice and friendly, which made our stay more pleasant. We will come back again soon!
Excellent location just minutes walking distance away from main historical heritage zone, with many cafes and restaurants around. Lobby space are cozy with a tropical zen garden theme also with a small pool deck for relaxing, Good new hotel with high specification in the building materials used and room are comfortable in size with modern decoration design. If you're driving there are car park at ground level a bonus point especially in heritage zone.
