This has to be one of the best, if not the best, hotel in Penang, irrespective of price! The staff were very helpful and friendly, the facilities were entirely adequate, and the location is excellent for getting around. I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

We have stayed here 4 times and are always pleased with all aspects of the accommodation. Staff are friendly and helpful in all departments. Rooms are clean and comfortable but do transmit other guests movements on the wooden floors. Front rooms overlooking Hutton Lane suffer from traffic noise and a bike repair shop. Breakfast is satisfactory and the lunch and dinner menu are simplistic. The gym is adequately set up but the the treadmill was out of order. Pool is clean and gets some sun. Will stay here again when back in Penang. Feels like home for us.

The location of this hotel is good, This is a really nice heritage hotel; the renovations have been sympathetic to the surrounding area, and buildings, The hotel has lovely decoration, our room had a four-poster bed, lovely furniture, a jacuzzi bath and balcony, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the amenities were lovely. While there are small maintenance issues this did not detract from the overall ambience of the room. The outside is is well kept, with a tables and chairs by the pool. Although the pool is long and narrow it is a great lap pool for exercise. There is a gym and a sauna although we cannot comment on these as we never used these facilities. Nice room with jacuzzi tub in bathroom. Some bits and bobs could use a bit more maintenance. Friendly staffs. Rooms facing the main road tends to be noisy and not advisable for light sleeper Overall, satisfactory.

It’s a high quality hotel. The environment was quiet, and the staff was calm, friendly. If they can provide more vegetarian food, I am very appreciated! Also, maybe some staff was so sensitive. It is a place to improve. Let the guest more feel comfortable and let it be is ok.

Experience in Penaga Hotel Restaurant was beautiful. I would like to thanks Mr Daniel for being helpful, booking a private room and arrangement for my mom's birthday yesterday. I also would like to express my appreciation to all of staff at CInnamon Restaurant for giving an excellent service. Esprecially Ms Kasturi and Mirzain, being so friendly and helpful making my surprise birthday party to my mom was memorable one. Kasturi was being very patient with us, well my kids was quite handful.Thank you again. Food serve are delicious and variety of food at fair price. Would surely visit this hotel again, well im from penang so will not stay but would dine in and recommend this hotel.

The hotel is clean, nice and cozy. It is well maintained and the staffs are friendly too. The hotel have very nice room design and loved the Jacuzzi. It is a family trip with young children. Location wise is very strategic as it's walking distance to famous food area.

My first trip to Penang and after a bit of a search selected the Hotel Penaga for my 4-day stay. The hotel has a rustic, nostalgic of an older time Asian experience. My room (Hutton) was large and nicely decorated. Balcony overlooking the courtyard garden was a nice addition. Location wise - great - 1 min walk to the main Penang Rd. Breakfast was a buffet affair and offered a reasonable selection - so no complaints. Housekeeping was great almost as soon as I put my "please make up my room" sign - it appeared to get done! Staff were great and nothing appeared to be too much trouble.

Great location handy for the old town, atmospheric, the room was full of lovely old or antique oriental furniture. Staff were helpful and let us leave our luggage most of the day when we left. A nice bar. Breakfast buffet was good. Wouldnt eat there in the evening unless you just didnt want to go out. Menu was basic but well cooked but clearly its not part of their main offering. I would certainly stay again.
