If you bring family, never stay here. Is a motel for...you know what I mean. The room is incredibly mini. You will be lucky if can heard some "noise" in the afternoon. Yes, not at night, those people "eat" during office hour.

The only thing going for this hotel is if you get a really late ferry and can’t face the ten minute walk to where literally hundreds of much nicer places abound, this is just by the pier. But the price for a very small room was too much. The lift was faulty, the WiFi non existent and as my husband took the bags down at checkout time, a male employee walked into our room without bothering to see if we’d actually checked out. Do not disturb sign on door, I was half out of a towel! Not recommended. We found a choice of hotels in Little India for much less money.

Only needed to stay in George Town for a night after arriving back from Langkawi & chose Victoria Inn as it was close by (10 mins) walk from the ferry port. We needed to go to the airport the following morning and the bus station is at the bottom of the road (1 min) walk. Also Little India is nearby. The room was ok, small but clean, nice cooked breakfast also included.

We made a last minute change to our travelling plans and booked into this hotel the day before arrival. Suki on reception was extremely friendly and provided us with untold amounts of information for the local area and more. The rooms are basic but to be fair when you are out all day, all you want is a shower, clean towels and a bed - which is exactly what was provided. The hotel is in a good area which is walking distance to many things!

First off, this is a 2 star hotel. People complaining about the lack of this and the lack of that, upgrade to more stars. Myself and a group of friends stayed here for a few days and found it ideal. It's central, right on the edge of little India. Ideally situated to use as a base to explore the locale which is rich and vibrant and quite frankly an assault on the senses. But back to the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful, the air con was ace. Rooms clean and simple. Yes the breakfast choice was small, but again, 2 star. That are hundreds of places to eat right on the doorstep. It's affordable and ideal if you're passing through an amazing town. All is good at the Victoria Inn.

The only thing this place has going for it, are the big rooms. It was nice to be able to spread out, the air con worked good, we stayed here almost a week. PLEASE find competent staff to work the front desk. This is damaging your business. I am not the first person to complain about this. I asked for them to mark on a map where Victoria Inn was and the front desk girl literally marked our spot about 10 blocks off from where we truly where. Hello, your staff should at the very least know where your hotel is located. The only knowledgeable person working there is this man that spoke English and he worked in the kitchen during breakfast. Also up grade your internet. Stop advertising like you have it, you don't. We left the hotel to go hang out at a nearby cafe almost every day so we could use the internet. Internet is a basic need for travelers as well as fridges. You should provide both of those things and you don't.

the hotel is not bad when it comes to room interior, nice paint and look for a budget hotel's room. I was quite disappointed that the free breakfast was not a buffet but then again I understand that for a 2 star hotel. The set given was either nasi lemak or american breakfast. The taste was just ok and not outstanding. I like the look of the lobby with it's clean and contemporary decor. The location is within walking distance from the jetty for travellers who might be using the ferry. Surrounding environment of the hotel seems quiet at night therefore do try to park beside the hotel rather than further down the road.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Clean room. Friendly staff. Breakfast only has 2 set only to choose. Parking is safe but limited. Town is nearby..but not walking distance. If you looking for budget stay... this place will be recommended if you have own transport.

I have confirmed reservation from Hotelclub, when I arrived the hotel they said sorry we don't have any rooms available and they sent me to another hotel nearby called Hotel19 and they said is also 3stars hotel and brand new. The hotel 19 was worse than you imagine, they give me room on 4th floor (410) and the elevator was out of service . Really terrible hotel and unfriendly staff, Not recommended at all.
