Disappointing - won't be going back - was more like a faulty tours air BNB which is not what we expected. The Property Manager (PM) did a money exchange run on arrival for us to exchange AUD to Ringgit, but this also included enabling the cash payment for the room as we had issues trying to make an electronic transfer. The property and facilities fell well short of what had been advertised so we had to cut our 16 night stay short by 4 nights to move to a better property. I did not expect to be relocating mid-holiday. To do so was costly, time consuming, stressful and a major inconvenience. The PM did check us in a couple of hours early. The suite felt like it needed a spring clean and was tired. Facilities advertised on the internet missing included in-room safe, bottled water, mini bar, hair dryer and toiletries. I had to purchase and carry drinking water (a LOT) from the local minimart to the room in the heat. The lounge room TV was not working when we arrived. It was not fixed for 9 days. The wifi was slow and, if it was working, frequently dropped out. It stopped completely mid-stay and took 3 days to fix. The TV in the bathroom did not work. All the balcony furniture was broken so we had to improvise using the least damaged chairs. We advised the PM but nothing happened. Enjoying the beautiful harbour view was greatly diminished by this. Later I noticed on a review 6 months back, this same issue was raised. We advised the PM that the toilet leaked but nothing happened. The main A/C was great but the bedroom A/C was very weak and loud. The one facility we totally enjoyed was the infinity pool. But on day 7, when we turned up ready for a swim to find the pool had been emptied and would not be in use again until after we left (no warning), it was the last straw. However, the suite had some redeeming qualities. It was spacious, and the marble in the bathroom and kitchen was lovely. The big bath was great. The balcony had a great view. The location was lovely and close to lots of restaurants. The PM recommended a driver who was flexible and did a great job the 2 times we travelled with him. The PM said to call if we needed anything, but we were so concerned with reporting/fixing essential facilities, we did not bother to ask for anything else. The room was not cleaned during our stay. We never entered the 2nd bedroom so not sure if that was OK. When we left, I messaged the PM to ask if any refund was payable given the 4 nights lost (as nothing was offered earlier) before I put my review up. Sadly, I received no reply. Had there been a refund, or even partial refund, I could have added that here as a bit of a saving grace for the property.

Large spaces, well appointed, great potential but clearly not cared for. Lacking in any sense of hospitality and blatant disregard of standards or guest experience. Described as ‘brand new’ they are clearly not, and obviously wear & tear, maintenance and upkeep budgets have been ignored.

We were there recently in Dec 2019 for breakfast on a weekend. But it was disappointing as there were only lilke 2 restaurants open for breakfast. And none served an English breakfast. It is a shame as I would guess many customers would like to have a good fry up on a lazy weekend.

Spacious and luxurious with a HUGE balcony overlooking the marina. he apartment is above a mall which houses a convenient Sam's Grocer. 5 star rating, reasonable price. Ideal for family,. The place is amazing. As the place is located in front of the beach, you can see the beautiful sunrise and sunset! Extra stars for that :>

Not a single table in the living room, no washing machine, not working air conditionner, when we arrived the apartment was not ready and they offered us another apart in another building and of poorer quality. It took them 1,5 to make everything in order but in fact nothing has been done. When we arrived the room temperature was 28 C and with full time working AC the temperature was not dropping down. The next day a team of workers came and they changed the Outer AC block. But 6 lamps are not working, they changed the bulbs with no success, the owen is dirty and nobody came to clean it (2 days passed after the notification). Ugly Indian style beds in the bedroom and in the living room, small table (supposed to the dining table) and 2 iron chairs (like you may see in a cafe). Stronly unrecommended to stay there.

Huge room, good service, surrounded by TESCO and restaurants, the Nyonya Restaurant at 2nd floor is not bad if you are looking for Penang Nyonya food. You can get Subway and KFC (TESCO). Recommended for those who are here to meet family members.

We booked our room through Air BNB. Check in was smooth as we organised to meet the owners Uncle at a specific time at the fountain out front. This could be a bit of a challenge without internet access. The apartment was a 1 bed 2 bath in North block on level 3 (pool level) which was great, spacious and airy with good amenities and spacious balcony overlooking the marina. We pretty much had the pool to ourselves everyday which was very peaceful but not great if you like a bit of action. Security and complex staff were very pleasant. Good selection of restaurants & small supermarket at the Quay although all on the pricey side for Penang. However, numerous restaurants, cafes & food-courts nearby along with Tesco in walking distance. Construction of the new island underway although did not really affect us with the double glazed stacking sliders it was very quiet. Also no mosquitos so could sleep with doors open if we wanted to. Good Wi-Fi but not much choice of TV channels, also standard of cleaning left a bit to be desired but all in all a peaceful, pleasant stay.

First, the positives - lovely, spacious balcony overlooking the marina. The apartment is very nice with all needed amenities except a hair dryer. The kitchen is complete with microwave, stove top and a built in oven. There is also a washer-dryer machine in the kitchen. Yes, cutlery, mugs, glasses and some pots are even available. TV and wifi works well (except the tv in the bathroom). The bedrooms are nice with comfy beds. One can walk around the marina and the boardwalk to enjoy the sea view. The pool looks all right. The negatives - we had a lot of problems with the elevator access key as 50% of the time it did not work. There is also no office to seek help or get/return key as one has to call the contact person. No Qibla indicator in the apartment. If you enjoy watching the sunrise and sunsets, this is not the place as neither was seen when we were there. There is also no sea breeze except early in the morning. The rest of the time - hot and humid. There are some restaurants but most sell alcohol and are not Muslim friendly (except for Pappa Rich). Overall- very upscale 'Mat Salleh' vibe about the place. Not for Muslim families.

I took the opportunity to stay at this self serviced apartment suites whilst I was visiting Penang . Booked the accomodation thru Agaoda.com The booking was done online n was fine ! The checking in process was tedious! One had no international data so it was hard to find out where I can obtain the keys to the apartment Thank goodness I have relatives that I could ring Agoda to get instructions n contact the person responsible to Hand over the keys! Suggestion made that the Suites should have a front desk manned from 2 pm to 5 pm for prospective clients to check in! The Suite itself is adequate but it needs mcrowave instead of a oven! The towels are a threadbare , need to have new ones! The Tv channels need to be cable! Had so much difficulty to have it rectified n still breaks down every 10 mins !!!!! N the internet was not turned on until I made several phone calls ! Location is excellent for tourists wanting a quiet , restful place to stay as they do have a good supermarket downstairs - Sam’s Gtocery ! I would recommend this place to stay but please improve on your checking in process , tv connections n internet availability
