Really small bathrooms. The toilet in the first room didn’t work, so they changed room for me. The bathroom in the second room was so small that the sink was below the shower. To shower, you will have to remove it from the wall or it the water will aim straight at the toilet. Room is very basic and old. Staff is friendly.

I used to stay there 10 years ago, and I felt surprise on its well maintained for my recent stay. It is very clean and just beside gurney plaza. Very convenient. Free parking within the premise, first come first serve basis. The washroom is small, but I don't find that is an issue. Recommended.

The room was clean and tidy. It was a pleasure to have fan, beside of air-cond, especially during rainy days. Even though the bathroom is small, what more you can expect from budget hotel. Surely will come back again. Thumbs up!

This is a purely no frills hotel. No fancy interior, dated furniture, no gyms or swimming pool. Don't expect quality reception for some TV channels, and don't expect plentiful parking. However, their beds are really comfy beds and I slept really well on them.

1 room keep having ant in the bed and the cleaning services are fast to help us settle it. If u have food is gd to throw outside room dustbin and dont leave food on table if not the ant will come very fast. Room was clean and the air-con is gd. Noise reduction is poor sometimes can hear other room talking if they talk loud. Lvl 3 room the wifi reception is very weak so have to improve. Location was very near to gurney shopping center but need to travel by transportation. Near by got bar, coffee shop and muslim indian food.

Affordable, no frills Inn on Kelawai Road, next to Gurney Drive. Frankly, I like this place. It's not a 4 or 5 Star Hotel but it's got everything: wifi, Coffee making, TV, Aircond, parking etc. My room was situated at the back of the building with a view towards the sea. It's quiet and feels like home. Only issue is parking space which is limited

Cleanliness – OK. It might be an old establishment; 12 years to be exact, but it is clean. However, every time once open the door, there’s strong cigarette smell, but the smells fade away upon entry. *weird* Location – Average. It takes about 20-30 minutes on foot to reach Gurney Drive Hawker Centre. But it takes lesser to reach other good restaurants nearby. If you need to head to other areas, would always need to take bus to Komtar and then switch to other buses. Usually most buses go to Komtar. Else if you are heading to Batu Ferringhi, would need to take bus 101 from a bus stop that is 5 minutes away on foot from hotel. Need to ask receptionist for exact bus stop location cause for different routes is different bus stop. Facilities – Free bottles of water and basic toilet amenities are provided. Good room size. Wifi is free but slow. Room comes with refrigerator, dressing table, LCD television, electric kettle, cups and instant coffee and hair dryer. Security is good because every guest needs to pass through reception to gain entry and access to the lift. But limited parking space. Staff – Good. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Was very kind to lend us umbrella when it was raining. Sleep quality – Bad. The double bed was fine, but problem was the extra single bed provided. It was far too soft that once sit on it, mattress sunk and can feel the metal beams of the bed frame. Also at 6am+ in the morning, there was knock on the door too. Value – Good. Not too expensive and is a good property to consider to lay your head for the night. Perhaps the only really downside about this hotel is if you get the extra mattress, else the rest of the elements makes up for it.

Room Tip: Getting B Block is further away from the road, hence less noise compared to A Block.

We stayed at Good Hope Hotel for 3 days. Although it is a new house, the noise reduction is poor, caused by the inadequate design of doors and windows. So the noise from a car park building behind the hotel was very disturbing. The room was clean and functional and relatively inexpensive. They offer free WiFi, but most of the time, it didn't work and Internet wasn't available. The location is a bit far from shopping centers. However, restaurants and bus stops are nearby.

The price are fair in the area, but the services is terribly bad, receptionist is irresponsible, bad attitude, unhelpful, parking limited but you can't request for their assistance , they wont provide ANY ASSISTANCE(a simple reminder of taking your room card) other than taking your payment and ask you to sign on your payment receipt. Worst hotel/inn i ever been to. Funniest thing is, they are not even a budget hotel

To conclude, the place can be maintained in a much better state than what it is at the moment. The room that I had smelt of cigarette smoke, and immediately was a turn off for me. The prices are low, and I guess now you understand why. Hopefully the management can improve and get the place up and running well again.
