The coffee and cake at the cafe was fantastic. I bought some to my friend house at Bukit Mertajam. Everyone love the cakes. Keep...

When you are reading my review, please bear in mind that I'm looking at the hotel via the eyes of a designer born in Malaysia but grew up in Singapore and Australia. My taste may not reflect those of Asian travelers who expect everything to be brand-spanking-new. I know that's a strange way to describe a hotel, but you can...

This is a great option for travelers wanting to stay in an authentic shophouse in old Penang. Located on a narrow side street, this place is a real gem. It's walking distance to many of the main sights in Georgetown and in close proximity to many restaurants. We had two suites in the one shophouse - 49 A and B....

I stay in this hotel last week. 3 key words, traffic noise and management to be improved, not worth the price charged. It is more suitable to be a coffee shop/gallery than a hotel. Traffic noise It is in a central location, at the corner of two busy lanes. However, this hundred year old house is not sound proof. So...

This is an excellent heritage hotel, striking a good balance between faithful restoration and provision of modern comforts. The cafe serves up a good breakfast, and the coffee was some of the best I've had in Asia. The hotel is also nicely located within Chinatown, but only 2-3 minutes walk from both the Little India and the colonial heritage district....

We stayed 3 nights in Suite 47B on holiday last week. The Coffee Atelier was a pleasant departure from the usual Westin and Marriott I'm used to staying on business trips. The hotel is located on a small street off a main thoroughfare, in the center of historic Georgetown. All major attractions are within walking distance. The hotel is housed...

We stayed at coffee atelier just recently on a 3 day quick stop over in Penang. We booked 47A which is a 2 bedroom upstairs apartment. The room had everything we required - Big bed. Well equiped bathroom. There is a cafe downstairs which is generally opened for breakfast through to dinner. Would highly recommend the coffee - it's amazing....

I stayed here for three nights last week, and I have to say I was truly impressed with the experience. In a city like Georgetown, to get the most from the visit you need to just soak in the feel of the city, and I can think of no better place to start and finish the day. We stayed in...
