The room was very nice and large and lovely decorated. The bed was comfortable and firm. The hotel is beautiful especially with Christmas time decorations. The breakfast is very good with choice between local and western style food. The location is perfect to explore the old town. We spent 4 days around the new year's eve.

Fantastic place. Really a world apart from other stays in Malaysia. Beautiful setting, wonderful taste in the rooms and overall decoration. Extremely attentive and friendly staff. Will definitely recommend to anyone who comes to this part of the world!

Excellent, genuine service with a personal touch. Could tell within a minute of arriving we were going to be well looked after. Great location in the heart of the UNESCO zone. Hotel is a real one-off in terms of decor and design, so much better than generic alternatives!

23 Lovelane is the loveliest boutique hotel, with the friendliest and most inviting staff (more like family) that you could ever encounter. They are the true soul of this hotel. The sense of piece and tranquility from the moment you arrive is divine, making you feel straight at home. Not to mention the beautiful rooms, and the character of the whole property. One of the most memorable stays i've ever had!

right in the middle of Penang's old city and night life but quite place. Staff is very professional and very supporting with many tips for sightseeing and going out (dinner, bars...) Great authentic place well furnished with a great taste and very clean and confortable. Breakfast is also very good fresh and nice.

When I research for a place to stay. #1 is review ratings from past guest. 23Lovelane was a place I chose to stay for a special occasion this trip with my best friend and we were not disappointed. The highlights of this destination property was #the service rendered by the Hotel Manager Ms Tina. She went above and beyond to make it good ! Made it memorable for our party of 4. From listening to our needs and making things happen! Such as providing for local treats vs the typical American breakfast and providing us best options recommendations for local delights. Her choice of recommendations was spot on as well and her constant smile was welcoming each time we meet her. She is an asset and should be treaured and groomed further. The property had lovely rooms with super amazing cool air conditioning units which was a treat given the very hot weathers. The room was of good size at 40 to 50sqm with full fledged amenities provided. Overall this is a good property. Just a few points to note, quality of breakfast and tea time could be better improved. Breakfast area should be airconditioned or covered. Too many flies hovering around and quality of cooking is really below average. I loved the 2nd floor library area but a pity it's not air conditioned and thus was not as welcoming as the heat was too much to bear. One would not spend more than 5mins in there. We loved this place, carefully renovated with lots of pretty areas. It’s very centrally locates but at the quieter end of love lane. Love lane is very noisy especially at the weekends so don’t stay here expecting piece and quiet, which does detract from this place but it out of control of the management, it’s just a lively area with a few bars. Staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s a cute cat.
