Not to fussy to share bout negative things here but to be honest i would suggest u guys to spend a bit more budget and get ur room for two person or a queen bedded room. Went Georgetown Hotel couple days ago.Rooms condition a bit poor and smelly.Towel also smell very bad.Dirty toilet and the door make bad sound everytime we open and close.Need more maintenance on that room. However, that hotel located in good area.KFC just on the next door.Easy to reach town. Not recommanded but just okay.

Some of the things my friend and I experienced during our stay: 1)Customer service:Really bad especially the manager 2)The statement that they made inside phone is not the same like the statement that they made in reality.(Recommend to make a voice recorder if would like to book via phone as evidence) 3)Asked them for 1 extra BED,after paid rm30 the... Visited a friend who was already staying there thus booked 2 nights stay which I only stay for a night. Very basic with no facilities whatsoever but yet the price is not exactly that cheap. Location is not good. The deceiving pictures posted in agoda (not just this hotel) do not one bit represent itself in real. Reception chased my... More

Poor location and bad for a budget! This place may look good on booking.com but don't be fooled like us. Rude staff and takes money from you with out permission costing us ever more money than it should have! What a let down after 8 months of travelling! Do yourself a favour and pick some where else!

A simple hotel with a very clean and nice room. Free parking. Very attentive and friendly front office staff. Located at city center. Very convenience. You can cross the road to GIANT Supermarket and food courts. There are KFC and Thai food stall beside the hotel. Walking distance to CHIMES Heritage, NAGORE Squares with lots of nice cafes.

This hotel looks so much better on the outside, I really thought it would be so smart and well kept but it's actually a bit of a dump. The room was reasonably clean, but the furniture obviously hadn't been checked as there were dirty tissues left in the drawers.....yuck! The single curtain over the window was hanging off and the... Love Indian food and really not fussed whether its North or South delights but Kapitan has the best naans in town! Its not dripping with oil nor rock hard to make it overly chewy. And the curries do not disappoint either. The vegetable claypot biriyani is a disappointment though. Couldnt find a morsel of decent vegetables!

It seems some people have confused this dump with the much nicer and more expensive, Georgetown City Hotel. There is NO pool, spa or airport pickup. I booked and paid for a 'Superior Single'. I'd hate to see a standard room, because this was a broom closet with a bathroom. I've been to Europe - I know what small rooms... More

Location- Not the best one . You have to go to other lanes in order to take buses which takes you to the best attractions of Penang. I had a hard time to find this hotel in night. I came from Batu Ferringhi and bus dropped us almost 400 mtrs away but it was really difficult to find this hotel... More

“Higher floors are much more quiet. Like most hotels, it is the type of guest that gives other guest opinions if the hotel is good or bad. If there is a problem with certain guest, let the front desk know about it so that they can do something about it. This hotel has a good record in dealing with such problems.”
