Decided to bring my mother to Penang last minute. One of my local friend suggested this hotel & I said why not. My whole experience was: - love the decor. simple yet nostalgia - love the location. easily access to anywhere and everywhere - dislike the occasion noisy street though but not much of a problem for us Well, I have enjoyed myself here. Overall, good stay!

Simply adore the decor and the convenience of this hotel's location to every part of Georgetown. Staff are nice and helpful, room is basic and come with a balcony, so it gets a bit noisy in the morning as the dim-sam shop is just across the street but we actually don't mind and truly enjoyed every bit of the moment here. WiFi is weak sometimes and I guess it's because of those young travelers who play online games at the common sitting area?!?! Guests usually hang out at the common sitting area where you can use the hotel table to eat the local food from downstairs hawker stalls, so convient! I can see the hotel management and their staff are trying very hard to keep the premises clean and tidy but some of the guests are just being inconsiderable and rude towards the cleaning lady and the staff,no too sure where the guests came from but they speak very rough hokkian! Cut it short, I think is a very charming hotel to stay for few days in this side of Penang and will definitely come back again in near future.

First, location is great. it's near the morning wet market and local food are aplenty. Second, it's a simple hotel with wifi, tv(sometimes rainy days can get a bit bad reception though). Third, staff are helpful and knowledgeable, they even helped customer to order Grab car or taking local buses to various tourists spots. The only downsides are: 1)Suggest you use you own towel cuz their hotel towel is a bit old and well worn. 2)There are a lot of Medan tourists who made a nuisance in the hotel, they are disty, noisy and impolite, scraming and shouting and gambling in the common area and some even have 8-10 persons in one room talking loudly in the middle of the night, so it gets a bit irritating

I’d booked here every year since 5-6 years ago. This hotel was very comfort with excellent service. But just this year the receptionist is different staff. A very bad anger, and F unpolite person. Normally I booked 2 nights every year but this year I only booked 1 night and decided to move all of my stuffs to another hotel. If you are the owner of the hotel who reading this please F fire your idiot receptionist, and for you who don’t want to have the same experience as mine please remove this hotel from your list. (P.S : please highlight the F receptionist and I do take responsible for my own words)

Pro: - Location - Wifi Cons: -Very uncomfortable beds, the covers they use are actually something that looks more like towels. -Very run down in general -When showering, prepare to get the whole bathroom wet since they have no shower curtains -Do NOT use their laundry service, all of my clothes that was washed here had a disgusting smell on them -If you get a room which is facing the road, prepare not to be able to sleep since it is very noisy and the windows/doors are not sound proof at all -The pictures look a lot better than IRL

Air conditioning did not work properly, very noisy (food stalls everywhere) unconfortable bed, questionable cleaning standards. Only pro would be the price (at least you do not feel too bad because you did not pay much), but I have stayed at much better places for this price range. Would not recommend it to anyone.

You pay for what you get. It's a budget choice, I'd say. The hotel is located in georgetown, about 5mins walk away to shopping malls and bus terminal. Just at the foot of the hotel is the food street where it becomes busy at night. Must-try food is the duck porridge stall located on the first storey, just downtairs of the hotel. It is open for business at 5:30PM every day. About the hotel, we got a family room and it's considered quite clean...but we didn't had a comfortable rest during our two nights' stay (the beds are quite uncomfortable). Wouldn't complain much as this is what we get for the cost we pay.

I very much enjoyed this hotel. I expected something worse for the amount of money I payed. Room was clean, with shower , TV, A/C. Surrounding little noisy (street food stalls) but fine for me. Great WLAN access. Perfect location near main bus station and street food stalls. I saw a fat rat right outside the hotel, but probably normal there.

After reading good reviews on tripadvisor decided to book and pay for 7 nights with agoda .What a mistake. Payed for a deluxe room , hate to see what the standard rooms are like.Tiny tv with no english channels. towels looked like they were about 10 years old, the small blanket on the bed loooked like a large towel and was in worse condition as the bathroom towels.Toilet/shower was tiny.Room was not cleaned once , towels not changed, had to keep asking front desk for toilet paper and water as it was never replaced.Noisy food stalls on the street below start at 5pm and dont finish until 12am ,along with the traffic noise so i suggest bringing a good supply of earplugs if you decide to stay here.In future i will be more careful reading reviews on T/A.
