A very great, friendly and helpful staff. But the design of interior was a bit old school, but it helps to reminisce my childhood memory. However, really looking forward for their new facelift. Definitely will comeback for their new design. Love the location very convenience to go all the hotapot and touristy places. The hot tub is amazing, bfast is average, overall was 3.5 over 5. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Potential to bloom with some TLC... Arrived around 3++ PM. Check in was fast. Got the room on 27th floor. Got the view of the sea. Room layout and size is good. No doubt interior is dated. Good size bath with jacuzzi tub. Had some electrical issue late night. They offer room change. New room is even bigger. All seems to function. Tried breakfast in the morning. Decent choice of spread. Food were OK. But saw some tiny roaches around. Overall this place got potential with some TLC. As the location is great: easy get around walking or taking Grab.

I stayed at the hotel as I had to attend a function.Rooms are big but old.The sofa cover looks like it had not been washed before.The room is cooling enough.Beds are okay.Hospitality was at its worst.I got a phone call from reception at 10.30am to check out at 12.00pm.As if that was not enough.The house keeping brought 2 towel at 11.00am when I did not request for it and I was about to check out.I feel this is how the hotel chase people out or 'make sure' they check out before time.

Not surprised nor shocked. Reception lobby areas right up to our guestroom surroundings looked rather deteriorated woody landscape. Arranged for wake up call, was not awakened and late for an appointment. All staff tried their best and shown a guest relationship sincerity to avoid any shortcomings. Location of the hotel is good and easy access to Gurney nightlife areas. Overall, really needs to show commitment for improvement to be competitive, again.

We stay for 1 night inside the junior suite, quite big room with jacuzzi. Enjoy the view of penang town, please do an improvement inside the room look like no maintenance done, during night time like horror room

Came with family..i was offered an upgrade from junior suite to deluxe suite but to my disappointment the floor is peeling...toilet are moldy..very unsafe to the children...they change my room to a slightly smaller room with a slight better condition...this time the room has a seaview... staff told me that they are going to renovate the hotel august next year...hope the new northam is better...

I like this hotel because of the location. It's spacious since i took the junior suite . The price is inclusive of breakfast for 2. I requested for sea view and twin bedded which they promptly provided. The staffs are friendly and courteous right from the entrance of the hotel. Although this hotel does need refurbishment overall stay is memorable.

The location was great with nice scenery and the staff was friendly, however the room was DIRTY. In the website clearly mentioned the room type (junior suite) is sea view. But my room is city view - not even an inch of sea view!. My husband called the Front desk to get explanation regarding the view and demand for the room which we suppose to get and they change me to another so called better room with view. Here come the night mare, the room maintenance not been fixed such as broken wood on the floor (Parquet floors were peeling off)which can lead to injury. Dusty bed sheets, dimly lighting, dirty toilet, mold in the bathroom, the jacuzzi was working fine but there was a crack on the side and water can be seen sprouting out from the side. We ordered in room menu, (we ordered pizza) it was the worse pizza that i ever had. Breakfast isn't great as well. Would recommend you to have local meals around town. Will never recommend this hotel and will never come back. …

I have stayed in The Northam Suite last month. Just to experience a suite room. But i was quite dissappointed as the room surrounding looked old. The bathroom is spacious with jacuzzi bathtub. But i still not comfortable with the overall environment in the room. The location is strategic. Hopefully the management can refurbish n renovate the building.

This was my third stay in this hotel within this year. Speacial thanks to Reception Staff Jessy who gave me a warm welcome upon the arrival with her beautiful smile. There are two more staff who was very helpful. A male and a female staff..i could not remember their name. Today is my birthday and its going to be a memorable day for my self here today.
